Over here in Germany, Haribo has a ton of vegan Gummies. Plus Katjes has lots of vegan Gummies.
Ikr ?! I was quite surprised it was included. Like duh of course they do 😅 (my favourites are the Dragibus)
Hema also offers some vegan options
Katjes gummies are my favorite!
I'm from Poland and ngl every time I'm in Germany I'm jealous of your vegan options, we got maybe one-two things that are vegan and it's mostly oreos in a regular shop or they are crazy expensive
I love katjes!
I love that you love the Nugo Pretzel protein bars as much as me bc they don’t get enough love for how good they are lol
Breyers also has a vanilla one and it was fantastic!!
Raw chicken breast is definitely gross. I was buying beyond burgers and I had a grocery clerk ask me "do those taste better than they look?" Like ma'am does raw ground burger look good? 😂
The statement "cooking destroys food and most nutrients in it" invalidates your whole comment. Some nutrients are reduced or destroyed through cooking, yes, but others are made more available by cooking. So it's not a blanket statement you can make. Also, we probably couldn't have evolved our big brains if we hadn't started cooking our food. That's one theory, anyway.
Lol
It stink that the Very Good Butcher went out of business. I hadn't heard about them before finding their products at Grocery Outlet. I love their stuff due to the protein content. Amazing! I do have about 20 more boxes of their ribs and steaks in the freezer 😃. They were $2.99 a piece!
If you are looking for actual vegan gelato, you need to try Valsoia. It's an Italian brand that a local store recently started carrying, and it's my fav ice cream now. The chocolate almond cones are amazing, and I also love the vanilla ice cream bar dipped in chocolate- it's so simple but then I get to enjoy that lovely gelato texture.
the haribo sour sghetti gummies are vegan too! they're my favorite :) strawberry, blueberry, green apple flavors
(basically the same thing as the streamers but the pieces are individual instead of in a little rectangle)
I don’t know if you have Haribo “strawbs” in America but they’re my go-to sweets if I want strawberry gummy sweets. They’re not sour.
I really enjoy your reviews. I feel like you give an honest and realistic (unscripted) review. I often hear glowing reviews about products, try them and think, really??
I would love a fall/ Halloween themed video on any new snacks and products that are out or new to you? I’ve been seeing a lot of trying the new Starbucks menu etc but they don’t include many vegan options since the creators aren’t vegan, but would love a vegans review ❤
Thanks for this product roundup! We love the breaded chickn filets from Gardein. Have you tried the Chomp Nutpucks made in Salem? They fly off the store shelves here. Such a great vegan version of peanut butter cups!
8:35 Not steak exactly, but the beefless bulgogi from Trader Joe's might be my FAVORITE vegan item they have! It's much less "seitan forward" and gets a nice char while heating all the way through. I won't lie it's real weird when you pull it out (all the pieces are frozen together) so I usually thaw it for like 10 minutes before cooking it, but even when I didn't it was still so delicious
I have some sad news. The Field Roast Chef's signature burgers have been discontinued. I thought they were the tastiest plant based burgers and actually healthy. Welp, Maple Leaf killed it off. What a surprise.
Yay! Love your food related vids :-)
I’d love to see a school lunch vid! My kinder is getting tired of tofurky/chao sammies lol
I love those Trader Joe’s grounds that come in the green bag. They are low in cals and fat but high in protein. I am really not good in getting enough protein each day so I just make a serving of it in a cup and mix it into whatever I’m having. It does not have much flavor but it takes on what you mix it in.
The Breyers oat milk based vanilla is really really good!!
Thanks for your reviews! I don't eat a lot of sweets, so this helps me pick more accurately the first time. (And I don't have family here to help me eat what I don't like!)
I really enjoyed the breyer’s mint ice cream. It was nice have a large container in the fridge as well, instead of the usual pint size.
I /want/ to like sour candy but I just can't 😭 I actually felt my mouth salivating when I saw the sour Haribo candy. Usually I just dip sour candy in water to get rid of the stuff 😅
Regular Bryer’s ice cream was never creamy either it’s always been a little watery and icy.
the chocolate granola likely tastes like vomit because American chocolate has an acid found in vomit added to it.
What?
@@leonore3349 It's actually true! A lot of Europeans don't like American chocolate because they think it tastes like vomit. This is because American chocolate contains butyric acid which is also found in vomit. European chocolate doesn't have this acid so they're not used to the taste.
ooo yes I love the extra refreshers gum!! only he berry kind tho I can't deal with mint lolol
I love coconut favour. The discount grocery store in my area has had freezers full of Coconut Bliss for months now.
Yeah my Grocery Outlet has the cookie dough, salted caramel & dark chocolate flavors and I love all of them. I can't afford their $7 pints at my regular grocery store even when I have extra in my food budget
I love Breyer's cookies and cream vegan ice cream. It's so good! I'm vegetarian but I have used this to transition from dairy ice cream
I agree with the chocolate peanut butter granola!!!! I was getting a vomit taste too!!!! I thought I was going crazy.
I really like the gardein chick’n scallopini as a chicken breast style thing. I Can see a lot of people not being into the texture but I like it a lot
I love that one but have a hard time finding it! 🙂
The violife whipping cream whips up well. We use it at the bakery I work at
Haribo sour spaghetti is also vegan and nice and chewy 👌
Love the yum earth ones as well
Always fun getting a list of things I can't buy in my country. Maybe one day 💜 I do actually appreciate these videos btw even if I can't buy most of it.
You can't get them off Amazon?
@@westcoastlass I try to limit companies like amazon as much as possible. Plus it would be crazy to pay for another up-charge on top of already paying extra for food being plant-based. It makes more sense to try and support local Plant-based initiatives in terms of economy and environmental impact.
@@marlyd Ah. So you could technically get it in your country you just chose not to. Fair enough. Buying local is always better.
@@westcoastlassnot everything is available on Amazon 😉 also if something is 5 or 10 times more expensive to get it shipped to you, it's not really feasible...
@@wa6184 Yea obvs.
The Oatly pints, at least the strawberry flavor, are really good.
Gardein has chickn scalopini for "chicken breast" like product, which is ok if you season it well.
Definitely recommend the Violife French Onion dip and TruBars which have 12 Grams of both Protein and Fiber!
The Violife French onion dip is disgusting. The garlic and onion do not cover the coconut flavor 🥲🙃
@@theshunnedBandersnatch I really like it, but it sadly seems that my Wal-Mart quit carrying it.
A new view of the kitchen!! Yeah!!
I gotta get my hands on those TJs squiggly noodles!! I’m going tomorrow!!!
That vomit taste could be the chocolate itself. Manufacturers add an ingredient that has that vomit taste. Why? No idea.
only in america i believe, i can't remember why
@@clankfish yes. Everyone else’s chocolate is good
im pretty sure butyric acid is a preservative and emulsifier, i think it prevents chocolate bloom for longer and stuff
@@nuclearfurbyy1341 that used to be the case but nowadays we have better options that dont taste like vomit, but manufacturers in America still do it that way because that's what the public is already used to...
not me watching this as if I have any of these products available here
😭 they brought the Breyers where I live just to taunt me and then they stopped carrying it everywhere! Ice cream where I live is super expensive and many brand and flavors are hard to find. They first brought the chocolate one, which I loved, then they stopped bringing it and brought the cookies and cream, which was ok, my husband liked it a lot. They were $8, then they jacked them up to $10 and then they stopped bringing them all together.
I like Oatly ice cream. I like that they have simple flavors such as strawberry and vanilla. I don't care for Oatly milk that much. Still prefer almond and soy for milk, but as ice cream it's really good.
Fred Myers has the Reese’s for like $2.79. It was alright. Grocery outlet has had brave robot for like 3 months now. They don’t expire for months.
Have you tried the brand Meati? They make meat alternatives from mushroom root and they are surprisingly so good and really neat! They do chicken breasts and steaks along with a few other things.
I second this one for a future review and highly recommend Meati products. Quite amazing stuff and unlike so many other choices they are really just seasoned and pressed mycelium so there is not much potential for the ultraprocessing accusations/concerns that occur with other choices.
I found the "chicken" so mushy! Is the "steak" not mushy?
Your skin is amazing!
I wanted to like the cookies and cream Breyers but it has this weird metallic after taste that I can't stand. The mint chocolate chip is great though!
TJ's meatless ground - the flavor is old onion powder. Works for chili but overall not great
I'm glad you were able to finally get some of the Breyers non-dairy "frozen dessert" as the bovid exploitation industry calls it. Buy as much as you can, while you can, because if it's anything like it was here on the east coast, it had such poor distribution and finally it disappeared entirely. What a cruel tease. The Mint Chocolate Chip was just like the dairy version that I used to binge on as a kid. It's like why wouldn't they advertise it?! They might sell a ton of it.
thanks for the update! always interesting to hear about the products that are keeping you obese
That grain free granola was so high in saturated fat because the 2nd ingredient is coconut. Mostly saturated fat, but obviously better than saturated animal fats.
Try Better Brand Bagels!! High protein, low carb, low sugar, kinda weird texture, but worth it for the nutrition.
Will you ever talk about bone char/sugar?
I was just thinking about that. I'm Mexican-American from south TX and at least for me here it is just easier to get cane sugar.
Quorn has chicken fillets if you can find them!
Darn, I love the Very Good Butcher ribs. I would fry them, then split them up and add more barbecue sauce.
I'm curious about Meati but it's really expensive.
Reese's can keep 'em for that price! I am not the one, ma'am.
I have a feeling you would like the candy from the brand Katjes but I am not sure if you have it in the US😅 But since you can find Haribo, there is a small chance :D
You can find them in pretty much any store in Germany. The bunnies are my fave (yes they aree bunny shaped, but they are in fact vegan😂)
I'm in the US and I found Katjes at World Market!
I get Katjes sent over to Oz from my family 😁 it's the best. Whenever I go back to visit I feel like I'm in vegan paradise with all the choices.
The Extra sugarfree gums have been known to use sorbitol and as I learned the hard way after eating a pack of that stuff as a kid at sleepaway camp, sorbitol is a laxative. OHhhhhhh boy is it a laxative. So ever since I avoid anything with sorbitol in it. They should put warnings on that stuff because who eats just one tiny little piece of gum!?
For chicken breast we like the Gardein scallopini
What is wrong with LightLife?
I couldn't stomach the light life chicken breasts, but their chicken tenders are amazing! 😋
Not remotely a vegan, but I enjoy your product reviews of fun food to try.
Daring brand chicken is the best mock chicken.
I find 85% dark chocolate tastes better than Hershey's or Reese chocolate. Watching in the UK. 😊
Your kids seem to have such a different palette to you! Are they more like your partner or you?
Often hear you talk about how they love something that you hate, and you love something that they hate
@@MdoubleHB.x Huh? How is this relevant to my comment?
Also, we are omnivores considering our physiology (e.g. enzymes we produce, dental structure, GI tract structure).
Certainly not exclusively fruigivores since there are essential nutrients that we could not get from fruits i.e. humans will very likely become deficient under a fruitarian diet without supplements of specific nutrients . e.g. calcium, vitamin B12, iodine, omega 3.
the cursing is just lovely
OMG HIIIIII SWAYZE HIIIIIIIIIII!!!!
Eat Meati has great products!!
700th like 😏
