- Track 6 from the 1988 album, Power Metal.
Originally off the 1985 album, I Am The Night.
LYRICS:
Alright!
People running in the street.
Looking for some meat to eat.
It's in your dirty magazines.
All across your TV screens!
Midnight Riders in the street.
Feel the fire, catch the heat!
You better go, down below!
You better go, down below!
See the ladies of the night.
Built for speed to my delight.
I steal them in my limousine.
Hear them shout, hear them scream!
Midnight Riders in the street.
Feel the fire, catch the heat!
It's a dirty job, creedance...
But somebody had to do it.
Yeah!
You better go, down below!
You better go, down below!
Alright!
Yeah!
And she's down for the count.
Anselmo's vibrato is magnificent
No es anselmo, es otro cantante
.........got ya
@@gabriels443 Este es el primer álbum de Phil con la banda.
@@adamturner1563Gabriel C's comment is false. This is Phil's first album with Pantera.
@@gabriels443 it is anselmo on this version
I won't say it's better or worse than initial version, both are awesome. And Phil did great.
This town, DOWN BELOW, aimed you, we are the CFH!!
Don't know why people keep saying Phil sounds like Rob Halford but actually it is not. Phil sounds just like Phil
And the solo is mighty!!! :-)
That rhythm work is fucking sick. DIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMEE!
Thrash metal George lynch.
Diamond*.
I know its awesome as fuck
i loooooove all Four pre- Cowboys from Hell as much every other album Pantera did
I never heard the original version. I just know this is great.
Good album, Phil got a technical and dynamic voice. Wish he didn’t waste it away, like he did.
I almost hate what he did. The very guy who saved the entire band in 1988 actually caused its end a decade later.
Badass song ! I like both versions , like diss 1 a little more cause I know what PANTERA becomes ! RIP DIMEBAG & Vinnie Paul Abbott !
This is the Diamond Darrel era.
Rhett: “Sean, if you play drums again you’re leaving.”
Sean: “TRY ME YOU F*CKING WEASEL!”
@RokDAWG1 I dont know about vocal skill but I couldnt even tell you the name of a band Terry has been in since Pantera. Phil has been in several. Its not all skill but if artists are making music that is recognized or not. And btw, Phil still used great sustain, breath support, versatility and power up through pantera's end. Just because he developed a harsh style and stopped conventional singing that doesnt mean the gutteral style isn't demanding. it requires dynamics to be great at it.
The history of the band that most Pantera fans wish to forget. Look at the amount of views in this pre- Cowboys from Hell song. Imagine if Poison had decided to give up on playing butt rock. It was only because nobody had heard this that they were able to transition.
Anyone else think Phil sounds like Rob Halford on this song?
Totally, this album is so Judas Priest plus a pre-groove
Bruno Lopez fuck yeah
....And thats exactly why Phil changed vocal styles...
Lol... he changed styles cause they were getting heavier and heavier..... Phil was in a JP cover band called Razor White..
Rob and Dan beelher
"it's been slow down below"..

HAHAHA THIS IS SO AWESOME!

@@sidewayswilliam he’s saying one album away from Cowboys From Hell
So much better than anything Metallica could dream of writing.
0:00 psycho holiday?
Qué riff!
to the uploader of this video: how the hell did you find this album?
@codebabe
hell yeah atleast SOMEONE knows what theyre talking about
cheers bro
FUCK YEAH
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!
@RokDAWG1 Terry was nothing compared to Phil. Phil could have been the next Rob Halford if he'd kept this style up.
And could've been singer for Priest instead of Ripper Owens.
Sorry but no. Only the likes of Ripper, Bruce and Geoff Tate can step to prime Halford. Maybe King Diamond but he uses falsetto for damn near everything above middle C.
@codebabe Lord Tracy
You're welcome.
@panda792 dont mock Phil...teasing ur hair was normal for metal bands back in those days
i have a different version of this song and this one is def better. it fucking rocks
@RokDAWG1 In comparing them in their primes Phil obliterated Terry in terms of control, sustain, vibrato, versatility, power...everything. i dont really know what either of them can do nowadays. but that isnt how i judge singers. i judge them by comparing solely by how they were in their primes.
@thelostsouls0777 Listen to the original version of this with Terry singing it. I think it's much cooler
1985
@FuckNorm Cheeeers!
@RokDAWG1 It's okay. His voice isn't as intense.
innervasion626 and Fuck1nMetal. They represent the majority of youtube commentors. They try to argue but instead resort to I'm right you're wrong tactics. Everyone please take not to avoid all idiots like these two. We can all benefit.... by the way, hell yeah for Power Metal!
@codebabe Yeaaahh uumm where's your joke, Phil these days? He's nothing. Terry can still hit those notes
@codebabe I think Terry's more in his prime now than ever. He still able to hit those notes & much more powerful than Phil.
Ok, according to your scale with sustain, vibrato, versatility, power....uumm Phil was ONLY good for that for a couple of years...Terry's been great non stop. Again, where's your Phil?
Not a couple of years.
More like 6 years .
7 .
Because on 1992/1993 boots he still do them here and there when he felt it. .
He morphed it .
In 1991 , he changed purposely .
It was after the tour with Priest and i do remember since ( even he likes that ) he was saying " there s only one rob ".
He did go in his own direction .
But his old school background still shows in his hooks in This love , Hollow , Revolution is my name , i ll cast a shadow , godnam electric ..
Stuff like Phil copy cat can't do propreply = Sing with brightness and support .
Not just hardcore screaming .
Plus ...
Except on certain points you have ,
Phil was on a basic type voice even then quite lower than Terry ;) .
But back then could hit the shit .
But beign out of your register h 24 is not good too..
Phil did a pretty good job on revolution , and Goddamn in 2000 tours .
Considering his state of addict and having a broken back .
Terry sux
@@joshuapitz4906 So does your mom.
