S E Tex. Dime is the best, no doubt. But I'm trying to figure out if there is any drummer out there that is comparable to Vinnie Paul? Maybe Igor Cavallera of Sepultura
Other than him, I've never heard anyone come close to Vinnie. Just so fast and tight. Unbelievable. Saw them in 89 at a club in Houston when I was 21, never heard anything come close to them , even to this day.

I went to all the 80s concerts Metallica Sabbath Dio Ozzy Motley Crue Hagar VH all of them. So we're at the small club, me and my girl in the back at a table but when they cranked up, it immediately blew everything away I'd ever heard, I said I'm going in , tried 2-3 times, it was impossible, pit too
      tight and violent. They
took a break to have a bikini contest. I got a couple of drinks, couple of shots in me. When they cranked back up, I was breathing fire. I hit the pit with everything I had. Got the sht beat out of me the whole way but finally made it to the front, smashed against the stage in front of Dime with his sweat being slung on me. Greatest thing I've ever experienced, other than the birth of my children. So badass and unbelievable.

That is an invalid statement because he did the aggressive style much better and more. Developed on the later album than he did here. And the vocal style he used on each album was designed for each one of those albums. And the point was as the album's got heavier and more aggressive, his vocal had to match it. And each one of those albums after was just as good as cowboys. Just unique and evolving more vicious.
But Phil delivered on each one and his signature vocal style and range developed to its max by Great Southern Trendkill.

I just don't get anything out of the stuff that thinks you can dispense with virtually the traditional facets of songwriting and performance like interesting lyrics, melodies, motifs, hooks and dynamics and replace all that with blistering aggression and technique for technique's sake. The latter approach just comes off as boring, one-dimensional and deeply unsatisfying.
