The most lovely part of your videos is the follow up part, where you show the success of your cuttings. That’s the most awaited and important part for a true plant lover ❤
Your cultivation advice for Tradescantia mundula ('Tricolor'/'Rainbow') is the best that I've seen. It was especially informative to see your demonstration of the root development of the new cuttings- something which most gardeners are hesitant to do.
Could you make a video how to grow this plant from a single cutting into something bushy? Quite often it’s sold as single, or max 2-3 cuttings on eBay etc!
Great channel. I’ve been learning a lot. Thank you. Question on the stem that has been cut. Will the cut stem on the main plant continue to grow or does it stop there?
Quadricolour is a different variety to this… quad is effectively a variegated zebrina. Your tricolour has smaller leaves. I have both. Equally beautiful x
@@SheffieldMadePlants no its nanouk, Thanks for your answer. I found on your other video nanouk with brown part on leaf and you say : its from watering leafs so i will be careful next time and i will stop spraying. Thank you so much 👍👍 btw tradescantia spathacea and tradescantia tricolour is so rare in my country i cant find it anywhare 🤷♂😥 so i am watching your vids and enjoying so much 👍👍
Beautiful plant! Do not have that one but would like it! I do have the nanook that has more succulent leaves....I love the tool you used to make holes in your dirt......where did you find that tool? These videos make me love this species of plant more! Thanks again and have a nice day!

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it 😁
I seem to have trouble growing my wandering jew
It’s definitely tricolour.. the quadricolour is a variegated version of the tradescantia zebrina. Leaves are much bigger x
In the greenhouse, we just ripped the bottom stems by hand and stick them in soil.
Gorgeous! You did great with them and I will utilize your method next time. They look so healthy!
Thank you 😊
Thank you for this! Good, informative video!
You bet!
Helpful and clear advice. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Really useful tips, thank you
I just got one of these. Its to little to propagate but thanks for the video seems like no one ever talks about this plant.
Really nice plant and it’ll grow quickly during the summer. Thanks for watching

I'll work on that 👍

Thank you John. Yes the stem will shoot out a new stem lower down so the cut growth will be replaced.
@@SheffieldMadePlants thank you!

Cool, thanks
I've never propagated in soil, do you keep the soil moist until it has roots or do you water when the soil gets dry as you would with a normal plant?
Probably more moist than normal
look so healthy.I have problem with leafs star brown, maybe is over watering?, soil is made like yours...
Is it the same type of tradescantia?

Hi
Can u please tell me why tradescantia bride maiden lose her pink color....
Needs more light probably and cut out the all green leaves/stems. They become dominant

Currently propagating the Nanouk for a future video. The tool is just a plastic chopstick! Perfect as a gardening tool.
Is there a problem with planting just one cutting?
Not at all
My finger just missed and accidentally hit dislike. Hit the thumbs up. Really appreciate you content!
Great, thanks!
Where did u put the newly propagated pot? Thank you
Near my window to get good light
