- In this video we unbox and setup a massive LG (86UN85006LA) 86" UHD 4k 120hz TV. We go through all the inputs, run through a demo of Apple AirPlay with a MacBook Pro. Set up Apple HomeKit with a demo of Siri turning the TV off and on again. We also run through the configuration of the TV, and to finish off, we show a quick game play footage of Fifa 21 on the Xbox Series X.

I currently have a 50 inch LG TV which has a series of touch controls at the bottom right of the tv in case the remote control doesn't work or is lost or damaged. This tv doesn't seem to have this. Why is that ?
Hello sir, Could you tell if this TV supports VRR, G Sync and ETC for gaming ? I know that 75 INCH do not, but maybe this 86 with 120 hz support it.

I bought this same huge TV and can not find where the Bass or Treble mode would be? Even calling the LG customer Tech we were going around in circles for 48 minutes on the phone. She endded it by saying the Tellevision is "PRE-SET" to me that does NOT make any sense at all! Why in the world would a TV like this not have the option to reduce bass or adjust the Treble?!? Can someone please HELP me find where the BASS & TREBLE would be...

I placed the TV on the polystyrene that comes with the tv and yes i had help. The TV is too big for one person.

I havent played too many games on this other than Fifa, but the screen is decent for the price.

How can I get my channels to play in 4k, every time I check resolution while watching TV it says 720. How can I watch TV in 4k?
Is it something you have plugged into your TV? check the HDMI cable as i know ive come across that issue before.

The setup skips from taking off the Styrofoam to screwing in the stands. I'd like to have seen the in between, like how to lay it down without damage. I'd also be interested in seeing it reboxed in case I have to move. Good run through on the setup and features though.

You want to lay it down on it's back not on its face! He used the foam to hold the TV up off the ground to install the feet. To pack it up, simply reverse the process.

At the end when you went from the fifa game to your sitting in front of the screen you looked like a CGI person for awhile after. No idea why but I found that pretty puzzling haha, I guess because you look a lot like the players with your skin tone and body type. I just bought this tv I didn't hear at the end if you loved it or not, hoping its great because its going to be a big part of my living room for the next decade at least.
haha well it wasn't the look i was going for. Though CGI might be cool.. I do love this TV.. its great and perfect for what I use it for.

Picture is decent from all angles, i dont see any picture loss. Though i would say the viewing would not be great is your are almost in line with your TV.

No...what you cant see here is the yellowish/green tint to everything.
Only if you go to Vivid or adjust it yourself the picture is ok.
So I also have a HD projector with a picsize of 3m wide and 2m high, and the picture there is much more impressing. But has problems in very summery bright days...so the area has to be a little protected from outdoor light.

I have the 75" Nanocell 90 series that basically is the same as this with the Nanocell technology. When you are on game mode picture setting does your screen get dim/darker when instant response and HDR effect turn on when playing Xbox Series X? Mine gets dark and the colors are dull. Yours looks bright and looks more realistic than mine. Guy at bestbuy said mine may have a bad processor in it. Just want to see if yours dims or stays the same once you start gaming.
I tested this again a little while ago and it does not seem like it goes dim/dull. Perhaps could be something faulty within.

@@InsideWire thank you so much for your reply. Yeah it seems I have a faulty product. I went to the store last night and told them about it. The TV rep said it has to be a faulty processor in it because it should not dim.
The nano90 serious has the full array dimming. This one doesn't have any dimming.
@@zizwehunt1872 I've gone through two of the 90 series and both have been a huge disappointment. There is a LG Nanocell group on Facebook where a lot of us have posted about the problems we have had with that TV.
@@InsideWire Had to return the first one. Got a new one but it has issues with screen images being cut off or not displaying properly. In the LG Nanocell group on Facebook there are several people who are having similar issues and have returned at least 1 of these Nanocell 90's.
I get my LG 86 Inch TV delivered on Saturday 12th August 2023 And can't wait to have it. So Excited. My biggest tv I have had up to now is 67 inches. The big tv's are now coming down in price. Maybe something over 100 inches in the future. I have had a projector also with 120 inch screen but a tv that size would be better at a good price.
Does this have VRR? I've had it for over a year now but the PS5 has just had the update and I can't find it in the settings.
I havent seen the setting for VRR yet but it was suppose to come in a firmware update.

@@InsideWire The TV was delivered. Unfortunately it was broken in transport (whole panel was smashed) which I only saw after dragging it inside and unpacking the box. Then even more unfortunately, the wife saw how big it was and said "over my dead body" to such a big TV. I tried my best to reason with her "its not so big once it hangs on the wall" e.t.c. but to no avail.
So then I struggled to repack it, organise return shipping back to where I bought it (another country) and now waiting for money back for it.
We have a 50" TV now and I said that I wasn't going to waste money on something like 65" because the difference is too minimal.
So had the TV not been broken, then the wife would've accepted it (thinking it couldn't be returned) and everyone would've been happy.
But now I am out of a TV and don't know when (if ever) I will be allowed to get such a big TV. Damn! Sucks!

How do you find the ips panel in dark room for watching movies? Is the black levels decent? Thinking of buying the 75"

It has a dark room setting I just found it for myself...
i had this exact tv and it was displayed in my basement extremely dark room , the tv did not perform well with a lot of blooming on the dark scenes , it was too distracting so i had the t. swapped out for lg 83 in C1 oled , the oled is bu far the better choice for a dark room . if this tv was in my family room which is a well lit room i 100% would have kept it . the picture was awesome but not good in dark rooms

I hard wired the tv to my network but you can connect via wifi if you want to.

Love the TV. I feel the darks could be a bit darker but have had no issues with the TV and for the price its a bargin.

I just got this TV for Xmas,
I love it.
Mine has a horseshoe shaped center stand but also has the spots on the sides for the legs you have on yours.
I use the HDR effect most of the time.
I hate the filmmaker mode.
I really do like this TV.
Interesting about the stand (where in the world are you?) curious to know if they supply a different stand in another part of the world. Some of the modes aren't that great but overall great TV for the price.

@@InsideWire hi, I also noticed that when game mode is in use, you cannot use the sound bar connected via Bluetooth.
Seems like the UK model doesnt have the option for the middle mount.. 🤔

its the same thing as Europe does 50hz the US does 60hz that x 2 you get 100 for Europe and 120 for the USA, most cameras do that though you can change the settings on the cameras, im not so sure bout the TVs though.

Just bought it...it is a great tv but, if you currently have a 75 in version...keep it...I thought there would be a huge difference in size and look by upgrading to 86 in but not really...I was dissapointed to see at the same distance they look almost identical...you cannot really tell I upgraded to a bigger model...not worth the extra 700 dollars..
How far away are you from your TV? I guess the general look would be the same so i can see how it may not look a lot different.

Seriously? This thing is 11 inches bigger I bet if you invite someone who has a 42 inch they would think they were at a movie theatre when they saw it. I have a 65 now and I took a measure tape and went out to 85, the size difference is staggering... even my 5 year old has a look of shock when I said how big it will be. I just ordered it so hopefully its a good upgrade for 2k dollars.

Yes the TV is pretty big 🙌 The size of the room is a big factor for the TV, unless you are building a cinema room, then you get the biggest TV possible.

Why does not anyone talk about the shitty yellow/green strange picturequality in the preselected picturemodes?
The cover of the screen feel like a cheap plasticsheet...
A lot of things that I think is important to know before buying...
To get a good picture you actually must max out the settings in contrast, sharpnes etc.
Im really disappointed about those things but I only had it for 3 days now...
Would like someone to compare it to fx a Samsung 75 or 85 inch tv. Q60, Q70, Q80

I did flick by these but didnt think to much of them as i knew i wouldnt use those modes. The cover probably is plastic to keep the weight and price down of the item.
