@@TechSteve I hope this is better. I canceled that order. I got him a Sony OLED A80J Series. I never heard of OLED or QLED. I read the reviews and decided to get the OLED.
Hey Steve! nice review! I realized that this TV has brightness issues in darker scenes, it is almost impossible to see. Have you noticed the issue? Do you have any advice? Thanks.
I don’t have my demo unit anymore but I didn’t have any darkness issues but I’m starting to see this reply alot. Here’s the reason tinyurl.com/y8qevht3
I received mine yesterday and can vouch for this. Your usual mid-bright/bright scenes look alright, can't complain, but dark scenes look absolutely terrible, can't tell what's happening in those scenes at all. Tried with the dynamic setting with no real success, among other failed attempts. If anyone has a solution I'd be extremely grateful, particularly tested it on Netflix films. Thanks!
I had this issue at first but the new firmware update 1301 fixes the issue. The dark scenes are not as dark anymore and show more detail. Overall the new update feels nicer even in the UI navigating. BTW recommended settings is Standard Mode, turn off picture clarity, use Warm 1, and enhanced conrast is up to the user, i use Low or High. Dont use Dynamic for movies only regular TV channel watching
Really good review! Appreciate the demonstrations and detail. This gave me all the information I was looking for on this TV. I’ll definitely check out your other videos when looking for tech products in the future!
I got 4 of these. From the 70 down to the 50. I don’t pay attention to all the little features and colors and all. I’m not very particular. The TV is fantastic and everything from sports to movies is perfect.
I use the 43'' one as a desktop monitor, it's great! Like having 4 Full HD monitors. I recommend to use dark mode in all you can, so eyes can relax in so a big display.
Thanks for the interesting demo I just purchased a 7 series crystal UHD, Samsung TV hope to enjoy it for a very long time. I am from Trinidad and Tobago west Indies. Thanks again.
@@DarthCrohns The Samsung QLEDs costs around same, and they have better picture quality. These Crystal UHD is 1 tier below QLED, which is why they are usually listed just below them in price. Just go for the Samsung Q60R from 2019. It will probably be cheaper than this one and you'll be better off. Higher refresh rate and better colors.
One thing I think you should know about this tv is those waste of space buttons actually can control an xbox (idk about playstation) so they are invaluable if you use your gaming console to watch videos of any kind. This tv is actually kinda amazing because I don't have to turn my controller on to change what I'm watching. Thanks for letting me know what these clips are for though!
@@TechSteve it’s just incredible bro, I had gotten a TCL 55 inch from Walmart but it sucked donkey dick horribly, in every way possible but then went to Best Buy and got this one and even tho it’s five inches smaller there is not that much of a difference in size, and I’m more about quality than size, this tv had the most amazing pic and mine does upscale everything to 4k when possible for it to!!! Even dark images come in not as good as good as what an oled tv can do but it’s so so so close. This is my new fav tv
For any one asking about sence's looking too dark, go into picture settings and look for shadow detail and make sure it's at the highest, this fixed it for me
Hey bro, a question, is the Samsung OS slow? Like it looks kinda like freezing when you were going throughout the apps, is that already fixed in 2023? ,do you still recommend this TV in 2023? Let me know please!
What type of HDMI does this TV have/support ? I can't find the info about it anywhere. Some say it's HDMI 2.0 (if that's the case, does HDMI 2.1 or 2.2 work on this TV) ?
Whatever you do, dont buy the 6900 model. Basically the higher the model number, the better the performance. I originally bought a 6900 model 50" and was instantly disgusted by the lack of brightness and contrast. With hdmi inputs, you cant change too much with picture settings. I returned the set, and got the tu8000 50 inch and immediately impressed. One of the key differences, is the tvs ability to upscale anything to 4k resolution. The 6900 does not, it just displays images as is. For the extra 120 dollars, it was definitely worth the upgrade.
jcelldogs thank you very much for your help! I am thinking about the TU7000. The one you told me about sounds amazing but it is 200 more than my budget! I am so torn!
@@jcelldogs Idk. The NU6900 has way more and much better reviews than the TU7000. By a long shot. My son just broke my 65" NU6900. Was thinking of getting a newer one to replace it. But now I may just find the same TV. See a lot of unhappy people with the TU7000.
@@alexislopez8393 Yeah. I actually bought the 48in in September and found out for myself. It does come with and aux. It pretty much has all the inputs a tv should have. Antenna cable, aux, A/V, LAN, Optical Digital Audio Out, 3 USB inputs, RS-232C(don't know what that's for), and 4 HDMI inputs. I have my ps4 standard, ps4 pro, blu ray player, and ps2 hooked up at the same time.
I forgot to mention, I don't even use the aux anymore. I bought some head phones with bluetooth and just hook up wirelessly. My last tv didn't have bluetooth.

Just ordered this tv tonight. Funny enough I received my series x yesterday. Looks like a cool tv. Thanks for the video.
Congratulations
thank you for this, very educational and helpful
Glad it was helpful!
seriously, this the best in depth tv review i have ever seen! comprehensive yet so clear and concise. love the attention to details. thanks for the video, i really enjoyed it. thank you so much Tech Steve! well done.
Thanks
Thanks I’ll be ordering the 65 now! I needed this video thanks for the help
Steve, I was looking at this TV today and really like it but you help me really want it!!! Thanks
Just picked up a 50" for $329.99
I'm happy with my purchase
Picking mine up in an hour, can’t wait!!!!
@@darinstgeorge All aboard the hype train!
Great! I got this for my dad’s Christmas gift this year! Currently he has a 60 inch Panasonic 1080p. It’s about 10 years old.
Oh wow, make sure that you consider 4K upgrade because for some people they don’t like the upscaling
Been adjusting the eff out of it every 30 mins smh its beautiful still but it just never is like perfect
I took off contrast amplifier
Good TV i have 2017 crystal view....im planning to upgrade to QLED i would love to see comparison video between this tv and QLED
I have this tv in my bedroom and the 8Q 75in in my living room. Q is superior hands down.
You will enjoy the QLED series. I have a Q6 65" and it's the best TV I've seen
What is the size of the TV that you are using in the video?
@@heroic_rung2 its 43 inch it says it on the box
@@mjtheking1622 Isn't nanocell better? And with a similar price as qled?
My parents surprised me with this tv like a week and a half ago and I love it
1 min into video and I’m buying it. Very informative guy . Thank you.
Just ordered a 65 inch version of this TV today.
How is the TV? I see some people complaining about it being laggy in the menus and that when it's dark its hard to see. How did you find it?
Really good review! Appreciate the demonstrations and detail. This gave me all the information I was looking for on this TV. I’ll definitely check out your other videos when looking for tech products in the future!
You’re welcome
Honestly I can’t wait to get this tv it looks amazing and seriously crystal clear 🤤
Did you ever get the tv? If so your honest review
@@Bay_Area_john I have the same question
@@Bay_Area_john I also have the same question
Just bought it
I got 4 of these.
Waiting on the DJ video!
Lol

@@TechSteve i need your helo mu mom got a samsung smart tv and it wont turn unless her light on in the room is their a setting for that?
What an awesome review of the settings and abilities of this TV! Thank you so much!
Steve, your videos are fantastic. You make it easy to understand all of the features and how to use them. You are the best here on UA-cam. Thank you!
Thanks
This helped my purchase thank you
Me too
Sorry how can I change laugues to chinese
Go to china
Hey,i’m about to purchase this tv tomorrow, do you recommend it or do you regret it? thank you
Would u reccomend?
5:27 dark corners on TV 2020?
I was thinking the same, it might not be noticeable to the human eye.
It's the angle that the camera is looking at it humans dont notice that
Really wanted this tv but why only 2 hdmi!?!? Great review
Get a hdmi extension thank me later👍🏽
Will save you a fortune buying this one....you can add hdmi ports
Yeah that’s put me off too
@@BillHrpr It isn't an issue at all, just get a hdmi extension, I didn't even care that it had only 2 hdmi.
Thanks for the interesting demo I just purchased a 7 series crystal UHD, Samsung TV hope to enjoy it for a very long time. I am from Trinidad and Tobago west Indies. Thanks again.
Thank you for the at point video. I feel more comfortable getting my new 65” Samsung Crystal uhh.
Just ordered the 75inch it comes Monday.
Hey hows it going? Did it give you trouble in darker scenes?
I just realized dark images look reallyyy dark
You guys are forgetting to mention this year's 7 series replaces last year's 6 series even the price difference.
So is it better please
No they are junk
@@dono1716 yea?
Don O how thinking about getting one
One of the best UA-cam channels
Great review
Thanks 🙏🏽
My dad just ordered me the 55in cant wait
Congratulations Lisa
Got mine yesterday am loving how nice the games looks
Juan Pablo How is the input lag with games? Overall do you like the TV? I am thinking about buying one
Does it have HDR? Because I saw this today and the box didn’t state that
@@BasedDad35 yes I like there a setting for that
Pablo Seoane HDR10 is standard on all Samsung TV after 2017 I believe. It says so on the Samsung website
Please how much do u buy it in Dollar
This was THE video that made me buy my 65TU7000. Thanks heaps.
Hey Steve do you think that this TV will be good for PS5 gaming
It’s not 8k tv it’s 4K but this is the best choice because 8k TVs are like 2000 dollars and this can do 120 FPS. So it’s the best choice.
@@sidneylacroix204 you don’t need a 8k tv who in there right mind would pay 1000 plus for a tv for ps5
Think I’m going to get this with a ps5
Btw 4K hdmi 2.1 would be perfect but then again 1000 for a tv, so this tv will be just fine
@@Riich87 me lol
Great overview and analysis. Pretty understandable without dumbing things down too much.
Hey could you do an update on this tv, I’ve seen some weird reviews and I’m not sure what to do
I no longer have the demo unit. Go with the RU7100 it’s solid if you have concerns
I just got this tv and I’m just loving it and I’m def happy with what I paid for it was well worth the bucks spent!!
Congratulations
@@TechSteve it’s just incredible bro, I had gotten a TCL 55 inch from Walmart but it sucked donkey dick horribly, in every way possible but then went to Best Buy and got this one and even tho it’s five inches smaller there is not that much of a difference in size, and I’m more about quality than size, this tv had the most amazing pic and mine does upscale everything to 4k when possible for it to!!! Even dark images come in not as good as good as what an oled tv can do but it’s so so so close. This is my new fav tv
Do you recommend it for new generations of videogames consoles ?
Would love to know this too. Planning to save up for PS5
For any one asking about sence's looking too dark, go into picture settings and look for shadow detail and make sure it's at the highest, this fixed it for me
yes that works. but also there is a new update 1301 that came out July 6th. that fixes it even better! give it a try
Hey Steve! Great video, but I have a quick question, would you be able to pair two Samsung Galaxy S+ buds simultaneously to the TV?
Hey bro, a question, is the Samsung OS slow? Like it looks kinda like freezing when you were going throughout the apps, is that already fixed in 2023? ,do you still recommend this TV in 2023? Let me know please!
What type of HDMI does this TV have/support ? I can't find the info about it anywhere. Some say it's HDMI 2.0 (if that's the case, does HDMI 2.1 or 2.2 work on this TV) ?
It seems like it supports 2.2
I miss spoke it has hdmi 2.0
In terms of 4k resolutions, how is this model different from the Samsung - 65" Class - LED - NU6900 Series ? Thank you!
I have a 65 inch 6900. Love it
jcelldogs thank you very much for your help!
Lol I bought this tv and I’m learning more from your vid
This tv doesn't come with an aux input?
@@jeffghant4760 any answer to your question?
@@alexislopez8393 Yeah. I actually bought the 48in in September and found out for myself. It does come with and aux. It pretty much has all the inputs a tv should have. Antenna cable, aux, A/V, LAN, Optical Digital Audio Out, 3 USB inputs, RS-232C(don't know what that's for), and 4 HDMI inputs. I have my ps4 standard, ps4 pro, blu ray player, and ps2 hooked up at the same time.
@@alexislopez8393 I also had my ps3 connected but I stopped using it.
I forgot to mention, I don't even use the aux anymore. I bought some head phones with bluetooth and just hook up wirelessly. My last tv didn't have bluetooth.

Great video, how do I get rid of the Soap Opera effect on the Image? I can´t find the Auto Motion plus setting
I just got this tv for my Mom. I cant find the motion plus setting either. 😡 I've tried everything but I cant get the soap opera effect off. If I cant find a way to take it off, I'm gonna return it.

What is the soap opera effect
Nathaniel Belnap it’s a video setting in which the video seems computerized kinda slow motion
Meatball Subaru thanks so much!
Is the tv laggy? For example: when you switch apps does it have a delay?
It is but you get used to it, and it gets faster
It doesnt lag that elephant dude is a idiot
I'm just about to purchase a TV and look at this and a 49" curve....this review has made up my mind.

Great review!
Bought it today, I must say, I am very impressed with the panel and the image quality.
Bro does it have high motion rate? I mean can u play every movie on 60 fps?
Thanks man I’m looking at this exact set up at 55 inch for very cheap Compared to these crazy LG machines out there I just got a PS five and was looking for a nice upgrade(i’ve been a Samsung guys since I started getting TVs )... not huge and expensive- nice with good quality on the screen is enough I have a 10-year-old 1080-Samsung/48inch Still looks good but as a next GEN slowly making its way onto everyone’s TV I think I might’ve found a TV that I want at least use for the next year or two, I was thinking about getting a Bose sound bar would you recommend it,?? it’s just one sound bar but it’s very loud when needed And I also use my two headsets for TV and gaming possibly I’m not gonna go all out on the sound system until I finish building my man cave -- this is going to right in my room LOL for now - I’m not leaving till I finish resident evil 8 and Finish AssassinsCreed Valhalla which I Guarantee you looks amazing on This TV especially for the price !! Thanks again
