  • I recently purchased the LG UQ7590 86-Inch TV and quickly realized the setup process is much more involved than I expected. I have recorded the entire setup process and walk through the ins and outs of setting up the LG UHD TV through my Android device. I'm not sure which way is easier, but after some trail and error I did succeed in getting the TV setup with my smartphone.
    Our family purchased this LG 86 inch TV during a Black Friday sale for a spectacular price, but you can still purchase this UHD TV for a great price today. See the link below and make sure to check other sellers in case there is a better price.
    If you have any questions about the setup process let me know in the comments.

      @@electroautoinc6075 I'm not a pixel peeper or needing the latest and greatest. I'm a 'lowest price/highest quality' guy which usually means "not the newest tech" out there. With that said, I've been very happy with the TV, the size make viewing more immersive and easy to watch with larger groups of friends/family. The color is fine, not the greatest but as long as yo don't have a $5000 TV next to it to compare it to it's totally fine. In bright light, the viewing is a bit faded, but it's not the end of the world (something I've accepted considering the price I paid). The audio is full and plenty loud but missing deep bass and decent surround, but I've been fine with it. I've learned how to tweak the settings to get the image to look the way I want and boom, it's a winner in my book.

    I purchased a 77 inch lg tv. A friend and I put the back on it, and put together a industrial tv stand (with wheels). Lifting up the tv on to the stand was not hard, but all together the whole thing was a bit of a mental challenge, and very tiring. Even though it wasn't hard to do, but it was more work than I had anticipated. You never said if you like the tv or not. Also the depth of your tv stand looks almost equal to the size of the feet of the tv. Seems to me if you bumped your tv hard, it would topple off the stand. My tv stand holds the tv on at the very bottom by 2 little metal clips, which keeps if from face planting, but the stand is very sturdy and I've already bumped into the tv by mistake, nothing happened. My tv did have a bracketed mount, but the mount is affixed to the stand, and held in place by two little slider metal clips. I'd hate for your new tv to get bumped and fall off the stand and break.

      I love this TV but I also accept that it's a lower end model and not the cutting edge. One downside is the brightness level especially for darker movies like Black Panther I & II. I wouldn't return it, it's a keeper for me especially for the price I paid. Interesting that you mention the feet, the TV is not as thick as the feet but recently I received a recall that the TV could tip over and to return to the TV. I've done the "bump" test where I have two people ready to catch it and I push and bump the TV very hard, I also shove and move the cabinet as well. In my testing, I was not able to get the TV to tip without significant effort. Mostly the concern with tipping in my case is because the feet are almost the same depth as the base meaning if it shifted it could fall off. Since there are no earthquakes here or major shifting I'm not worried about tipping at all. If it does tip... then I'll get a new TV! :). Few other notes, the up-rezzing is not the greatest and the interpolation (making extra frames for smoother motion) is also not the greatest, the OS is slow and the remote is abysmal. None of this is a deal killer for me, I'm just happy with the 3840x2160 resolution and the 'good enough' color quality. 120hz is also a great bonus! Hope this information helps.

    I wonder how many years we have to wait to get a budget tv that is over 100 inches. I think they have to make new manufacturing requirements for that kind of size that is stopping them from doing it right now.

      @HappyCamperDeals  6 місяців тому

      Go to 'settings/all settings/picture/advanced settings/brightness and adjust the contrast to 95, leave black level at 50 and put auto dynamic contrast to medium then gamma to 2.2. Go back to advanced settings and turn off film maker mode now go to color and put color depth to 55 and color gamut to dynamic. Use it that way for a while then adjust as you see fit. Make sure your in a dark room as the TV isn't the brightest. Good luck!

    What HDMI port gives the 4K resolution?

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  6 місяців тому

      All HDMI ports give 4k resolution providing you have the right cable and it's connected to a device that can playback 4k content however, only HDMI 2 and 3 will achieve 4k @ 120fps. HDMI 1 is only 4k 60fps. If you're not gaming you will be totally fine but if you do intend to achieve 120fps in 4k make sure you have an HDMI cable that can handle that.

    how wide is the stand you are using?

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  4 місяці тому

      This question is asked often... the feet are 60 inches apart and about 14.2 inches deep. I hope this helps. Another thing worth mentioning is that the TV was recalled for a while because it was deemed unstable, my guess is they put wider or bigger feet on it so that's something worth noting.

    What u think of the TV? Do u still have it

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  11 місяців тому

      Yep I still got it and I love the TV. It's not the best in the world but since I don't have a better one to compare it too this one is just fine.
      The TV isn't the brightest so you'll want to keep the curtains closed during the day. Turn off film maker mode as it makes it hard to see (everything is too dark). Want the best tv? Don't get this one. Want a decent TV for half the price, this is the winner!

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  Рік тому

      For the 86" just like shown it is $1196.99 but the regular price is usually $1296.99. Some stores charge for shipping but Amazon includes 'free' shipping. You will have to pay for taxes which will add about $100 to the total price.

    those plastic tabs have been around for ages. is this your 1st HDTV? Normally dont read instructions. if u look at the top of the box, it has arrow saying front. that would have helped you in facing the tv when starting this video. lol. you need 2 people for a tv larger than 55 inch. dont break it. y did u choose to setup via app. no. i have setup 100+ LG UHD the past 5y. too intrusive? yes. this is why you dont want to use/install THE app. Why aren't you using the Magic Remote instead of phone app?

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  Рік тому

      Ahh, I missed looking at the top of the box. I should have worked with two people but successfully showed it can be done with 1 person if done carefully (except lifting it, I'm not that strong). But yes, they're should be two people. Great suggestions, I'm learning and it's good to hear your insights with as much experience as you have. 100+ setups, your a pro!

      Can one of you verify if a wall mount is included? The LG website says it is an included accessory, but I find that hard to believe. Thanks in advance.

    • @HappyCamperDeals
      @HappyCamperDeals  7 місяців тому +1

      @gtstaples9720 no wall mount, the legs it came with were deemed not stable enough, so I'm guessing itbwould have wider feet? Keep in mind the 86" tv is around 100 pounds. You will need strong beams to mount it on.

    God I want a tv like this my parents only got me the most budget of budget TVs a tcl 65 inch 4 series (has nothing aside from a bigger size) I’m a gamer I want a 4K hdr VRR tv at that size 86 is great for me 65 is ok but I love giant stuff we hav a 75 inch in our living room but it doesn’t have VRR actual no tv we’ve had has that and we’ve gone through a shit ton (I broke my 43 inch Samsung went to a pathetic barely a tv 24 inch to a 51 inch Samsung a friend gave me to a 55 inch my grandparents gave me to this 65 inch I have now which they got on a nasty deal a Christmas deal so it was probably just barely triple digits) I’m not trying to be petty I just like big stuff I got a 71 inch tv stand just to get a giant among giant TVs but no 65 inches

      I understand, I wanted this 86" for so long and still want the 120" short throw projector (LG ProBeam 5000-Lumen UHD 4K Short-Throw Laser DLP Projector $4,299.00). Big screens allow for more immersive viewing and also is better for large groups to gather and watch. I don't know about VVR but it sounds useful for gaming, I didn't know this TV could do that. Good luck, I hope you get a HUGE TV soon!

      I understand what you mean, my solution when I was younger (I got a job and saved money and bought what I wanted). Unfortunately, this meant I had no time to enjoy what I bought because I was busy working to pay for it. There is no good solution but I would say, just keep pushing forward and find a way to achieve the things you are interested in. Also, when I was 14 years old there was ONLY 1 tv in the whole house, it had NO remote and it was 24 inches but 28 inches deep LOL. I'm an old guy now... hang in there, you'll achieve the things you desire just keep working towards it.

      @@HappyCamperDeals yeah, I’ve gone from the big box TVs as well the old feeling hurts. But I sadly can’t get a job all that worth it as I’m only a high school grad, while I could totally find something with the basic requirements it might be difficult. I’m not the biggest fan of mooching off my own parents but I just started a somewhat stable income, while I don’t understand only one tv I do understand the no remote so I’d either sit right near the tv or I’d try find a good volume to sit at (sorry for the rambling lol). I can last with this tv but will definitely buy my own if possible but now as I kept seeing TVs all around my UA-cam throughout 2022-2023 it was hard for me not to complain, my family keeps making jokes about it but my dads only problem with this is the fact that we might not be able to get it to our house and in the house we live on a very tiny island so shipping is almost impossible and our house while not small the rooms are pretty tiny.
