Who needs to go to the movie theaters anymore? 😂
I am a big-time movie theater advocate, but after the year we had I adapted really quick. Plus more and more movies are being made directly for certain streaming services. We have a TCL 65, but am very interested in turning my bonus room into a big time theater room.
I keep going back and fourth on this LG tv and the TCL 85"
Decisions, decisions!!
@@twentyoneplusvideo0472 you should go with a projector. That will be a true movie theater experience
This is going in our. Home theater
@@Beverlyhillsfinest the room is way to bright for a projector
Projectors are a whole different experience, and they are way cheaper than a tv, and can Go way bigger than a tv. So... Projectors >>>> tv
It's crazy that no one talks about this tv or the 87 series. It's really a hidden gem.
I've been researching for the past month. I'm sick of looking actually. Hours and hours of comparing and looking for black Friday deals going back and forth between specs n sizes. Then I found this one. I'm done looking. I chose this one for 1500. Doesn't have local dimming zones but it's at least 120hz panel. Most others this price and size are only 60hz. Plus I can brag it's an inch bigger than the 85. Also I wanted the magic remote. Hopefully it shows up in one piece and looks as good as most people have stated. I was thinking about going sony x91j or the cheaper x85j. Of course that's another 800 or so bucks.
Soo how is it???
How's it watching a movie?
@@phuquetwo update?
It was fine. Nothing special. To be honest, it was actually too big for my living room space. Made my eyes tired from moving back and forth. I think I'll go for a smaller oled. Samsung s95c or something similar
Great job brother I actually just bought this tv and I'm waiting for it to be delivered so I decided to look at unboxing videos while I am waiting for it and I truly appreciate your time you took explaining and showing everything and I am excited and can't wait for mine to come great video and great job brother and awesome arcade room that's an awesome set up you have bro ty
Thanks man! I must say that this TV is really impressive. Great for gaming!
Rock on Brother!
Enjoy that beast of a television.
Bro thats way to close!! 😂 Nice TV!
Watching like this 👀
Yes he is sitting less than 4 feet from it. At that distance he can not see the whole screen.
lmao no i always this close
Never too close
Looks great👍
I just ordered this from Costco 20 min ago. Same price at best buy $1499, but the 5 year warranty at best buy is $320. Costco extended warranty was basically free for 3 years plus the one year manufacturer and then one year Costco warranty. Also, a $50 gift card and a $150 streaming service gift card. Oh, and best buy return is 14 days. Costco is 3 months. No brainer.
Just got mine today from Costco same price still 7 months later lol how is yours still working? I was a little disappointed in the picture quality to be honest.
I have the near to exact model 4k LG tv, but its a 65” and plastic. LoL I thought that was big enough until I bought my house with a massive living room. TV looked tiny. Now im looking into getting this. Can’t wait to pick it up.
Thanks Ritchie, Just bought one,its still setting here in the box. Good info.
Thanks! I hope you get to enjoy it soon.
I have a 65 inch samsung. That 86 inch looks great. Also thanks for the upload unboxing on this tv. It is huge and very nice. I was looking to go bigger from my 65 inch for enjoying movies and gaming. Call of duty is my favorite game. thank you for this video. Now i can see how huge a 86 inch looks.
Great review!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!

On this TV, can you watch TV and surf the internet at the same time? Thanks.
Where did you get the tv stand?
Love gaming on this tv or movie nights
Good brother 👍👍👍👍
Bought this TV. Great 86" immersiveness, but the black levels and color is really not that fantastic, especially compared to a 55" OLED i have as well. Somehow running Netflix or Disney+ on Apple TV through HDMI, seems to get better colours. Its not bright enough in daytime, with windows nearby, but in darker rooms its fine. Great for gaming and if not fussy on colour range, this is a great budget 86".
correct ,no contrast
Does this tv have HDR? If not is there a similar model just like this one but with HDR?
Excellent job Richie, really appreciate it! You pretty much sold me this TV. Just ONE question. What is the width of the stand's legs when they're on your table/stand? NOT the distance between the feet (60.3") but the width of the feet as they sit. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine but want to make sure I have enough depth on my stand. Hope that makes sense. ???
Thanks again!
Thanks! The feet are about 14.25 inches wide. Hope that helps!
@@richiesgaminggadgetsgizmos5861 I was going to ask the same question. Glad somebody already did, and thanks for the answer.

I just bought this tv and it's amazing. With Netflix, HBO MAX, HULU, and Disney + you don't need to go to the movies. I don't have a next-gen console yet but it is next-gen ready. I have my Xbox One X and Ps4 Pro connected to it and the game optimizer makes games look and play amazing. It costs $1,400 but it's worth it. No issues to date. The metallic feet are very strong. Just ensure that the table top is designed to hold TVs of this size...

but i dont think a 86" is meant to sit like 4 feet away from it. lol
I don’t even sit that close from my 55 inch. This guy is mad lol
Especially if it’s 4K lol, sitting right up close to it will make it look like any other TV lol
I was wondering about that ... It's a beautiful set up can't deny that. How close are you from the tv? Don't you get headaches or dizziness? I want one but my living room size would give me about 10 feet away from tv to couch
For a 86inches TV, you must sit at least 10 feet away from it, or you will be constantly damaging your eyes.
You are not even two feet away from that tv. If you don’t care anymore about your eye site, that’s fine, it’s your call.

@@Beverlyhillsfinest it's definitely odd but the price difference in the SKUs makes it so someone who can't afford the larger one doesn't have to step down too far, that's why a series of TV's regardless of brand usually has anywhere from as little as 5 versions to as many as 20, the regular price for the 86" has come down to around $1750 but right now it's on black Friday nsale for $1500 which is the same price as the 82" so it doesn't make sense to buy the 82, but when they're not on sale it's definitely fine to save $250+ and get the 82" for an almost identical experience
Probably the best $ to size

It says specifically in the instructions not to lay it on the screen size. Your suppose to lay it on its back. 🤦♂️
Just bought mine from Best Buy with a 5yr warranty. Awsome addition to the basement. I'll be installing an LG tall speakers surround sound 1000watt system to it. Can't wait to install it this weekend.
Now that you've had it for a while, do you recommend it?
@@MultiToopy I've owned mine since it came out and it's absolutely phenomenal FOR THE PRICE. If your budget is big then there are better TVs out there but if you're looking for something huge and still beautiful with an amazing interface and ease of use you can't go wrong. Gaming, Netflix are just 👌. The only thing I would say is get a decent soundbar to compliment it aswell, the TV itself has good speakers but for the size you need a decent surround sound system to compliment it. Also don't be fooled with the "newer" LG models of the same size with the same price point like the UQ90 because this still is a better TV as a whole regardless of being one generation processor older, it's still super fast and a big head turner when guests are over! Oh and I know there's the whole edge lit discussion etc. But once you have this bad boy set up in your home and chuck on a 4K Ultra HD movie or game alongside a good sound system it's mind blowing. I still sit back and smile sometimes at just how big and crisp it is. Enjoy 🍻
@@lukeslayer that's awesome to hear! I'm not very picky when it comes to picture - I don't expect state of the art at this price point so this sounds perfect from what you're saying. Also glad to hear the interface is nice - I hate janky software that some companies throw on to 'help' you. Thanks for the info!

They were bought a long time ago when i bought my first Samsung TV in the 2010s...it was a Samsung surround sound system (Dolby 5.1)

Might be overkill for your room...but to each their own.
Dude, I hope you are not going to sit that close to watch an 86" tv. Hope your room is bigger than that.
Why? The closer you are the more immersive.
@@clabeauxdave8709 No!!! Immerseive does not mean you can not see the entire screen. Immerseive is having a large screen that you can see 100% of. The Immersion comes from the scale of the screen size not from only seeing 50% of the screen.

For the room size he is in the maximum size TV is 50 inches.
He totally wasted his money putting an 86 inch TV in a room that small.

I suppose it depends on the program source.
What speed internet do you have? Are you making sure the UA-cam videos are streaming the best quality? This crap keeps choosing sh++ resolutions for videos, even if the video has a 1440p, or 2160p option, like this video! It is set to "higher picture quality";yet, selects 720p!!!
too many idiots in here saying he's sitting too close to the screen

You are ignorant!!! He is sitting 4 feet away from the TV. He can only see around 50% of the screen. In this video he is constantly turning his head because he has to find what he is looking for.
For the room size he should have gotten a 50 inch TV.
The only way to take advantage of an 86 inch TV is to sit at least 10 feet away so you can see the entire screen.
There are hundreds of Videos on UA-cam with professionals setting up Home theater rooms and they will have the seating a good distance away from the screen.
@@JesusSavesSinnerseven a 77” oled would have been OK
@@unknownsource4359 The problem is that the room he is in is way too small. For even a 77 inch screen. He is sitting 4 feet from the Screen.

In that size of room with him sitting 4 feet away a 40 inch QLED (I perfer QLED, I think OLED is extremely overrated. OLED has Burn in issues.) would be just right. Anything bigger and he could Not see the whole screen.
I personally have a 24 inch TV, a 32 inch, 2 40 inch, and a 75 inch TV. Also I have Two Home Theaters with a 100 inch Projector Screen and another one with a 120 inch Screen.
So I know that a 40 inch TV is absolutely very watchable.
My parents never had anything bigger than a 25 inch TV. People today are insane with the demand for Larger and Larger Screen sizes.
If you can't see the entire screen you need a smaller Screen size.
Until I was 40 the largest Screen I ever had was a 27 inch TV.
The most TV I have watched has been on a 13 inch TV. You don't have to have crazy large Screens to be able to enjoy why you are watching.
On that Note you would be surprised to learn that Millions of people watch most of their content on their 6 inch cell phone screens. Another group of countless millions the largest Screen they watch TV and Movies on is a 10 inch tablet computer.
Perspective you can have a 6 inch screen 8 inches from your eyes to a few feet away and it is surprisingly watchable.
