I sent off and bought from a Australian supplier for 4015, you can see it on show in my most recent video. Thanks for watching

What an amazing beautiful locomotive completely out of my price range but still stunning to look at.

It is out of my price range to be honest, going without quite a bit so I could get it. Glad you liked it

Very nice Video ! The Union Pacific does have a restored Big Boy loco in service that they run every now and then, there are some good videos of it on-line.

Yeah they are what inspired me to get one. I would have loved to afford the Broadway limited Paragon 4 version, as it is magnificent. This was expensive enough Rolf I can tell you mate. Cheers Graham

What radius curve was big boy running around please cheers Al

That was 4th Radius. It would handle 3rd, in my opinion as each set of wheels is on a seperate bogie 4,8,8,4. 2nd might be a struggle. It needs a wide berth though as it got caught lots of the scenery before I filmed it for the video, both at the front as it pushes out, because the first 4 wheels are quite a way into the body, and at the cab end which also swings out. Watch a coach/bus take a left turn at a junction, you'll see it has to push out into the road first so the front wheels will go round the curb and the back end swings right out to the right as it goes round. Big Boy is just like that. On a 2nd or 3rd radius, that would be vastly exaggerated and could take other locomotives out on other lines, damaging expensive models. I will be taking all that into consideration when I build the HO layout for it.

Can you run it on dc power or only dcc?

The one I have is DCC withe Sound, there is a DC version obviously withoughout sound. Mine came with a blanking chip in the accessories so if I wanted to I could remove the DCC decoder, put the blanking chip in and run it on a DC layout.

@@FatBoysonTourHikingVideos No need to re-install the blanking chip (dummy plug as we call it in the US). You can program the decoder so the loco runs on straight DC.
