THE GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY - RAILWAYS AT WORK EVENT 2024 - 5 STEAM & 5 DIESEL LOCOMOTIVES WORKING
We travel up to Loughborough from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, to visit the unigue double track railway of The Great Central Railway. This is a Heritage Railway with a difference to say the least. Join us as my family and I emmerce ourselves in the culture of 1966, a time of change for the Railways and of course ENGLAND'S WORLD CUP WIN. At least 10 LOCOMOTIVES on show, 5 STEAM ENGINES and 5 DIESELS hauling freight and carrying passengers, not to mention all the vintage cars, buses and trucks. THIS WAS A GREAT DAY OUT. Many more Locomotives to view on end shunts and sidings and a VERY SPECIAL WORKS SHED visit housing a very special locomotive

    DB don’t have to sand loco’s, that’s correct. Must be nice to have depot facilities across the country that your predecessors purchased from British Rail for £1 per asset. Actually, the real difference is; GBRf men aren’t afraid of a bit of graft. 💪🏻 Not like those lazy crybabies in red.

      Good to hear from you mate, I love your channel especially the Bachmann and Hornby bashing. I was a bus driver in a former life and I took pride in looking after my vehicle. I therefore did appreciate watching the driver looking after his 66, and it's why I said man after my own heart. The DB guy was a decent bloke but did sound a bit of a snob as he said it. When it was EWS it was probably different but I do not know the full story.

    Try DeLuxe R/C or canopy glue. It's intended to stick canopies on radio controlled aircraft. And it works a treat. It dries perfeclly clear and doesn't stain or fumes. I've used it for lots of jobs. It stays flexible with excellent adhesion, and allows a slight flex so no more snapping off. You can remove it easily with no staining. Wood to Plastic...to paper ,to paintwork. I used it for crew and small bits attachment, never had anything fall off or break. Try a tube. And on my planes if one crashed you can guretee the canopy was still in place

    Pay for quality .. But .. Bachmann still was fine all them years ago . From a distance looks like a Bachmann model until you zoom in especially in boring FL livery . Nice review but not worth the price tag in my opinion

    • @FatBoysonTourHikingVideos
      @FatBoysonTourHikingVideos 4 місяці тому

      No argument from me on that one. The cost of new models are ridiculous. I do think you get good value from accurascale in my opinion. Fantastic detail and quality, the detail in the cab for example is amazing. This is sound fitted with a great speaker and a stay alive fitted. Excellent lighting back and front and on top of that a fantastic package of instructions, additional parts and a lifetime warranty at a cost of £260. You compare that to some Bachmann and Hornby models, I think it represents good value by comparison. Today I picked up a class 70 from Bachmann at a local train fair for £115, that is what I prefer to pay for locomotives if possible 😂. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, really appreciated.
