Improved Rivarossi Big Boy With DCC Sound And Large EM2 Speaker

- Last week I made a video of my Rivarossi Big Boy model and received some great feedback, some of the feedback highlighted a few flaws with my model so I have corrected them and had another go. The coal shovelling has been replaced with an 'auger' which feeds the firebox mechanically and the two sets of drive wheels have been put out of sync by rotating one of the drive shafts. Other minor improvements were made to the order of the functions to make it a bit more logical. It has an EM2 in the tender acting like a subwoofer and a sugarcube under the chimney.

oooh, this is tempting......In my continuing quest to add sound where before we had silence - maybe I'll add BigBoy to my list of loco's to upgrade, but that will have to be next month! The EM2 really does make the difference!
I've got an EM2 I bought from you, and a Rivarossi Big Boy to improve. I know what I'm going to do with the EM2 now. Simply impressive.
What is the part number for that EM2 Speaker you used. It sounds great!!!! I want to buy the EM2 Speaker.
I have a Rivarossi with factory fitted Loksound, can the sound file be improved? The whistle is very quiet. I've played around with settings but can't seem to make it more distinct.
Great job! May I ask you how did you install the EM2 decoder inside the tender? Is it placed face up or face down? Did you have to open a hole at the bottom of the tender?

@@jagc1969 Thanks, just watch out for how you position the speaker, you dont want to put it straight onto the metal weight or you will short the speaker terminals, insulate it first

Very nice Richard, Does the Rivarossi have working number board lights? Just to ask, Do you offer the Reblow service via email like what biff does?
hoppe01 hi, no it just has the basic front and rear lights unfortunately. And yeah I can email files
@@roadsandrails Hi Richard, I'm in two minds to either reblow one of the Trix BB's hence the question on the email service, or I have a project Trix Big Boy somewhere, Just need to find her, Luckily it's 4013 and that one the decoders in the loco and I know an EM2 will fit in the tender easily (with modification, not much though) I will get back to you, This might be an over Christmas project,
