  • Zack Skow tells the story of rehabilitation between two souls, both written off by society, as they come together and rewrite their future... Smokey the dog, once labeled aggressive and untrustworthy of humans, finds a new lease on life within the confines of a maximum-security prison through Jason Mori, an inmate armed with empathy and a deep understanding of Smokey's fears.

Jason Mori is the best trainer! I used to not be able to take my boy Henry anywhere without him flying in the air to attack other dogs. He would pull so hard on his leash Jason actually called him "Henry the Puller". Jason gave us a set of training skills that changed everything. Henry is able to be in public and behaves like a gentleman (almost all the time).

Great interview! Nice to learn something positive about prison reform. As a dog lover, it was heartwarming. Keep up the good work.

As a dog lover, I'm very happy to hear this story. Here in Australia retired racing Greyhounds are placed with inmates in the prison system. It gives those beautiful dogs a training base before being adopted out to their forever homes.

"His family adopted him so that he'd be waiting on him when he got out-"
    "Oh wow, that's awes-"
    "But he's passed away since."
    "O-Oh"
That was quite a way to word that sentence
