I am a Canadian veteran suffering from a few problems. I rescued a husky boxer mix then a highly abused pit . The truth of the matter is they rescued me. 6 hours in the past 5 years would be tge longest we have been apart. We my Anxiety flares up my husky/boxer Axel comes up to me and press his face into mine. If i am sitting up for hours at a time i start to fall over he and Harley will push me up lick my face making sure i am ok. Unconditional love saved my life no dought in my mind. I think your program will save lives congrats on your personl wins. John love your work on multiple shows and characters. Your love for your art (trade craft) is quite evident in acting. Truly the next big podcast.

I’m a veteran and paramedic who’s struggled with social anxiety and ptsd triggers in public. I got a service dog and she changed my life. How he described it is so true.

I'm a graduate from the program and I can attest that this program not only saves the pups lives but also the people who participate in it lives. Pawsitive Change and all people involved are amazing for what you do! ❤

Teaches us how to care for something or someone. True dedication to ensure they thrive again Aswell. Then the change happens we Rely on them for everything. They show us true friendship (never leave your side) and love unconditionally people always say love ya bro got your back. ( That's about 75 percent B/S . ) That DOG is 💯 to 💯 pure love for you. And for most life changing. I have tight group of buddies whose lifes were utterly changed for the positive.

Love hearing stories like this as it really shows how important having a support system is no matter who the person is or what they've been through there is always somebody who cares and loves you unconditionally like man's best friend 🐶

We actually adopted a dog from Marley’s mutts that went through pawsitive change. Hope solo was her name and she was very well trained and was such a great girl.

amazing how dogs can save lifes only by existing. i struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for years but only tried it after my dog died, because while he was still alive i was not alone, there was something still worth living. that unconditional love is the purest shit ever.

Jail dog programs are amazing. I was sad to hear the one where I lived in GA was ending. There need to be more of them, not less.

We got a 120 pound monster of a dog who had been through the local prison program. Half mastiff, half ridgeback. He's built like he lives in a gym. We got him at 18 months and he was cage trained, house trained, no barking, no biting, no chewing, won't take food or climb on a piece of furniture without asking first, friendly with everyone. At his daycare, they use him to bring along small dogs that are skittish around other dogs/big dogs. They put him alone with them until they settle in. They can bark at him, bite him, anything goes. He just chills and waits for them to calm down.
We've had him five years. He's genuinely the perfect dog. He's not a service dog. The program he went through does not train service dogs, so if you're just looking for a dog, check out these programs. They're all different. Every dog we get going forward will be from our local prison program. Check the humane society in your county and surrounding counties. Some of them work with these programs.

I didn’t like Jon Berthal at first but seeing his energy in his eyes if he wasn’t going to be a actor he’d probably would be dead or in prison right now. So I can respect that about a man who puts his energy into positivity instead of negativity
