- Today, on the workbench, I am working on the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 “Classics” by AMT/ERTL. This was a refreshing and fun build. I don’t do two-tone paint jobs very often and this one turned out great!

The 57 Ford has always been a favorite of mine. The paint turned out awesome! What a cool build.
Thank You! I was quite impressed myself at how the paint turned out. I don't do very many two-tone paint jobs and this one looked pretty awesome to me. Ya, the 57 Fairlane was a great car and would have been a favorite if fans of the Chevy of the same year hadn't gone crazy over it instead. I know a guy that has one and it is one sweet ride! Thank You! When I am making these videos I try to make them as informative as I can without trying to bore people to death. I will even show the good and bad parts with the kit. I hope that you like that kit when you get it. Mine had a ton of tires just thrown into the box and that made it a little confusing on which tires went with which car. The red tail lights were the same way. Fortunately, those weren't as confusing to figure out. Good luck with your builds of these three great kits!
All Hail the Master of the Orange tube! I love your builds, this one came out great! I don't know how you manage to use the tube glue as efficiently as you do, I always seem to get none, or a one inch long blob! It is great glue to use, and is invaluable in certain situations, but I've never seen anyone use it as well as you. Thanks for sharing!
Thank You! I had a good chuckle from your comment! I'm glad that you enjoyed the build and the video. I really don't think about how I use the tube glue, I just use it. I have been building for over, let's just say, 50 years off and on, and have always ever used tube glue. Honestly, I wouldn't know how to use anything else. With that many years, I guess a person would become proficient in the use of a product. Thank you for the kind words and thank you for watching!

Thank you! Are you referring to the three kit box? Or, are you referring to the Fairlane? If it is the Fairlane, Round2 is supposed to be re-releasing that kit in the next month or so. It is most likely a re-pop of this exact kit. I haven't seen any new three kit boxes in many years and if you do find any you will most likely pay a hefty price for one. So far, I have seen where the Thunderbird kit has been released from Revell and the Fairlane from R2 under the AMT banner. Good luck in your search and Thanks for watching!

Thanks!! It took me all of about five minutes staring at the blank body to decide what color I wanted to apply to the exterior. It took me about an hour to decide the interior colors. It's a funny thing on how we can come up with color combinations almost instantaneously just by staring at the blank body. It's almost like it's screaming at you which color it wants to be and if it ever did actually start screaming at me, I think it would be time to call in a priest for an exorcism, LOL. HEY-DAR 👊😎👍: Ahh yes a fellow piss-canner we're rare and precious lol. Tube glue, WOW that takes me back. If you use super glue you don't have to scrape the parts, also if you ever need to separate the parts it's allot easier, but I'm sure you know that? Nice tip with the socket & tires. Thank you! Yes... I use tube glue. I always have and that's a hard habit to break. I've used super glue in the past, just not a big fan of it. I don't use so much of the tube glue that it has ever been a problem with taking a kit apart in the future. A tube of glue will last me a good long time. That spider had it coming! He has been hiding parts on me for months! LOL

I've been looking for the Del Rio here and there but haven't seen any yet. I have been burned by mail ordering so many times that it has become an absolute last on my list effort to get a kit. I would rather wait for them to finally get to a store than risk getting another crushed and mangled kit. The USPS have destroyed a few kits over the years partially due to their negligence and partially due to the shipper by not packaging appropriately. So, I use ordering as an absolute last resort. @@badazzttt The last kit that I ordered through Amazon came to me in the kits original box with a label slapped on it. They couldn't even take the time, or the effort to put it into a shipping box. When I got it it was smashed and looked like it had been kicked around in the mud for a few hours. I thought that buying it through Amazon it would have at least been put into one of their bags but that wasn't the case. Incidentally, that was the last kit that I had ordered from anyone. Now, I just wait for it to show up at Hobby Lobby or Walmart. The last haul that I did (just about two weeks ago) I drove 43 miles to a Walmart that had kits for sale and picked up the 2021 Charger R/T, 1969 Barracuda and 1971 Demon. (All of those will be coming to the channel this summer). Amazon used to be my go to place for online shopping and in many ways it still is, but not for model kits anymore...
