    I've threatened to do my own cam for a year, the day I purchased my Road Glide. But it was only a threat. A lift from my wife and this video...not a threat anymore.
    Hot video. The rod cover tip, showing the pump gears, and guide screws correction gives you much credibility. Phat! Subscribed 2FD brother

      Great video!!! I’m gonna install a stage 2 kit on my own now.
      One question, when adjusting the pushrods you make 4 fully turns after the slight contact?
      Others say to make only 2.5 turns sofort a correct adjustment??

    • @TuckerSpeed477
      @TuckerSpeed477  4 місяці тому +2

      If you are using the S&S pushrods I would set them at 4 turns from zero lash(initial contact). But different brand pushrods use different adjustments. We just released a video explaining why there are different adjustments and what your trying to accomplish. Check it out and let us know if you have any other questions.

      @@TuckerSpeed477 yes I go with a S&S oil pump, S&S pushrods and the S&S precision lifters, so 4 full turns should be fine :-)

    Very nice and detailed video on how to install a cam. I thinking the only thing that wasn’t mentioned is to put the bike in 6 gear to rotate the motor. Or did I miss something ? Can’t wait to install mine

    Can you tell me which way the lifters drop in pertaining to the small oil hole that is in the side of the lifter. Do they drop in with the oil hole on each lifter facing each other? Hope this makes sense. I have new s&s lifters that I will be putting in. Didn't pay attention to how the stock ones came out.

    • @TuckerSpeed477
      @TuckerSpeed477  3 місяці тому +1

      There’s some differences in opinion on that but the oil hits the lifters from all the way around and we’ve never found that it really matters what way they are facing.

    I need to do a ride in for some parts install….19 Road Glide..already have the Screaming Eagle orange oil pump plate all that ,it has an SE “torque” cam..thinking a Red shift 468 with bearing, lifters and gaskets. replace the plastic intake manifold, tune. I have an SE tune on it now. Currently have Khromewerks mufflers on “hidaway” header..maybe make it a true dual or a 2/1. Tune. I have a TMax tuner not on bike. Do you work with those? Recommend even?
