You guys hooking up with Thrashin would be an awesome thing
I love their mini floorboards but I think a leading edge 159 kit would be sick
I just tossed my thrashin supply exhaust cause the cheep metal they have used in the stainless polished steel can’t take the heat and it’s all spotted went with bassani and they are the one who bends there pipes for them again the AR chamber did nothing in the dyno room
@BLOCKHEAD I ordered a D&D Bobcat in chrome with the carbon fiber wrapped muffler for my 2022 Low Rider S. They told me it would take 12-14 weeks and I received it in 2 weeks. Jennifer was great to work with. The exhaust tone is incredible and looks awesome on my bike. I saw improved performance without any other significant work, particularly in the mid to top end. I just wish I could go with the Tune I want but I'm preserving my factory warranty for now.
18 RG, S&S 124, f35a 572 cam,throttle,springs,injectors, bassani mid,clutch, tuned with 142hp and 148tq absolutely a monster
I've bought a few of the thrashin parts over time and always had good results and the build quality is excellent 😎
Definitely! I’ve been running a few of their parts on Goldzilla for awhile as well 🤘🏼
Oh shit! I was going to say it better be a STAR Racing cam. Those guys REALLY know their stuff! I have an S&S teardrop with the S&S adaptor kit to use the extra, extra large filter on my Sportster and the sheer size of it looks badass alone, and the fact it flows 37% more than the average high flow filter is awesome. Its a real performance oriented air cleaner that's for sure!
Where can I get that adaptor kit o really like this set up
Full Tilt for sure... solid info, appreciate it... hold your head up Chris!
Also great video. I love Chris’s no bs approach to power numbers
Happy to see you all are alright and that the workshop is intact 👊
I've had a Thrashin pipe on my Fat Bob for a couple years now. Solid pipe. I have no complaints.
That was awesome. Got a real sense of how quick that bike is. I loved it. Great video.
got a 114 with a fueling 472 with 6.2 injectors and ss 55 intake pulling 113 hp atw and 122 tq love it
Sick build man! Cant wait to see what color you guys do.
Those thrashing pipes r bad ass. So are the other parts, risers, bars, foot controls....that bike would be sick with all thrashing controls guys....
Dude Chris is totally blitzed in this video!!! I love it
I like the sound of that cam pipe combo
Exactly the stage 2 I want in my ST. Great video! Was looking at their 485 without there springs but seeing the next step up is cool.
WHEW!! That looks like an awesome ride! One day, I'll be able to experience rides like this.
Dang it Block! Now I got to change out my initial plans of a Wood cam for my Road Glide to this one for my winter project.
Blockhead team, hope y'all survived Ian and all is well. Another great video, thanks!
Thanks TCB, we’re all good here 👍🏼
It sounds great! And this stage two build is to me is by far, the way to go. Because, let's be honest and realistic. These are street bikes!
💯
Cammed bikes paired with a good exhaust are just a whole different animal. Nasty sounding even at idle.
Great video as always. We all know price of things changes, but it would be nice to get a ballpark figure on things like a stage one 2 3 and
four to give us an idea of what it costs.
That's what I'm going to go with a Stage II on my 114 I'm not gonna be racing so I feel like that'll be enough after riding my buddy bike the Stage II turned on nicely
I’m looking at doing a S&S 465 in my 18 SportGlide this winter. Go time!!!
Let’s see what that Cam will do In the 131 !!! I’m looking at all options for my 131.
I am glad you are making motovlogs I miss it when you did this
I’m a fan of Thrashin. Tall rider here and the floorboards and adjustable brake arm are a must.
Pumped for the ST. Pumped for Godzilla retro fit. And also curious about the cream and teal tins in the background!
I've waited to do any major engine mods on my ST just for this video!
I hope you guys are doing ok with this hurricane going through I'll pray for you and your well being
What a great quality video. Always appreciate it!
Hooray! The Blockheads group is good.
Killer video love that power and pull from 80 mph to 120+ it was fast. Did you guys stick with OEM oil pump and plate. You Guys should start listing the parts you install. Especially when you get good results like this I’d rock those numbers and be happy all year long. During the tune he said he had to back door the ECM to get past a limiter does the Power Vision not have ability to change the limiter setting? I have a TMax on my 08 Dyna and you can set the limiter. My 22 FXLRST I was going with the PV to find out if one’s better or if both are top notch and this PV versus TMax is more of a Miller Taste Great versus Miller Light Less Filling argument.
Nice build ! I’d like to see you try out a thunderheader. I’m guessing you could find one easily. I had one on my Harley which I had to sell years ago and really liked it . I mentioned the Thunderheader on another post.
I'm new to the channel. Great stuff. Does the stock 117 air cleaner not work well with you having to swap it.
Got a 114 stock m8. Would it be ok to go bigger on the cam than the S&S 475 on stock pistons? Maybe their 540 cam? I know I would have to change valve springs. Also debating on HPI 62mm or go all the way up to the 70mm. Very torn between the multiple options
Fantastic vid.... Thrashing makes amazing products. That pipe is my favorite I'm saving for it. Hopefully by my birthday in April.
I’ll sell you that exhaust right now
Great video. Would love to see a collab with Thrashin Supply. That would be pretty awesome. Bike sounds great and definitely some well respected numbers. Keep up the great work and glad you guys are ok from Ian. ML&R!
So dope! Which thrashin’ exhaust did you use? There’s four different options to choose from
would there be air reversion if I did this cam on a bike with Vance and Hines Big Radius exhaust?
Star 30/30, Woods 22XE, CR480...all great
How much would exhaust, cam and tune run from a general price perspective?
Been missing these videos
How is the heat transfer on header???; recently wrapped my bassani header w stock heat shield too to prevent extreme heat on ankles!! Thx,. 20 ultra
What yall think about the hpi 478 cam? Was thinking going full hpi for my 114 bob
I know this vid was a couple years ago but what cam do you recommend today for the stock Milwaukee 8 114?
Nice work guys!
Looking at different Dyno charts what makes this cam preferable to say a Woods?
Awesome video!! That is something I’ve been thinking about I saw that you rode the Diablo For the butt Dyno how much difference between the two Is there huge difference or just minor change Please keep up the great work!!
Huge difference, a cam and a tune make it a totally different bike! 👍🏼
This bike is set up perfect!
Where on earth did you guys find the black A-R thrashin pipe? I can only find stainless but the black looks SOOO good
Idk if maybe I missed em but what about a build on just a road glide special and dual exhaust instead of the 2-1 sporty build
So SE made a 117 big bore at one point. Could you get just the pistons out of that kit and have a high compression 117 with this cam on the cheap? I don’t know if the SE heads and machines so different that it won’t raise compression.
I want a ST model after seeing what a few minor upgrades will do.
Have you guys noticed good gains with the 64 mm throttle body and intake on the 114" without heads or porting? i have a '19 SGS with the 122" and looking to get a little more out of it so was curious if you would recommend doing the throttle body, intake and 5.5 injectors? as well do you recommend tuning with a powervision? love the content from a new Canadian follower! cheers
Get a hpi 62mm !
Thanks for the recommendation!!
I ordered my D&D Billet Cat from Cycle solutions about 4 weeks ago & got it the same week. They might be out of them by now but they had some in stock.
Awesome results for sure.
21:29 Smoothly 120mph??!
ITS INSANE
How about doing a video on the new "woods cam" for the 114 please.
Great video and my favorite channel. Thanks
Thanks Mark!
Si ce you mentioned the 2022 st retrofit on the 2020 goldzilla how is that managed BRACKET AND SUPPORT wise I also want to do on my 2020 fxlrs W/131stage 4!‼️
Badass! Can't wait until it's mine. Don't F it up. I want Chris shirt. Didn't see it in the merch.
Shirt currently not available, will be at the grand opening 👍🏼
What are the torque numbers at 2500 rpm to 3000rpm?
Daaamn that cam has good gains...that company make twin cam parts that are as good as their m8 parts?! AKA the workin man's bike 🤘🛵
Could I drop this into my stage 1 117 road glide? Only problem would be I have a screaming eagle tuner?
Did you not need to do upgraded oil pump on the 117 ? If not that could push up my time line of getting a stage 2 . That thing sounds sick.
The owner of star racing specifically mentioned stock pump and cam plate is fine. Check out star racings channel. He is building a used police road king with huge pistons and using the stock pump and plate.
Sounds very nice!
I've watched you years ago but I'm just getting into Harleys so new sub but I definitely fuck with thrashin love their vlogs and 2lanes. Loving the build videos I've learned so much from just watching 👀 can't wait to get some parts on my 03 fxd 🤙🏼 definitely gonna have to get in on some of these giveaways
Sounds great!
Please try the Star Racing 30/30 on it!!!!!!
Inexpensive bore cans are available!!! Your shop should have one!
Peak numbers mean jack💩! Look at the area under the curve and when comparing multiple runs incremental area under the curve! This Star cam has an impressive incremental area under the curve...geez look at the torque @6000 rpm, it’s still ~105 lb*ft...still pulling hard at 6000 which wins drag races against your buddies! It just has that little dip early on, maybe it can be tuned out. I speculate that low/mid torque is great due to smaller duration and it maintains top end with the bigger lift and Bryce cams usually open the exhaust valve early to get extra HP up top..... Impressive!
Hey blockhead I just bought a 2022 Lowrider ST and ideas where is can get aftermarket forward controls? Harley parts on back order for 38 Weeks
Not sure, checkout Drag Specialties
One on a twin cam would be spectacular.
Twin cam content incoming 👍🏼
Legit question. What's yalls take on the new harley Warranty hoopla crap? I'm ready for a tune and evil pipe for my 22FXLRS. Even thinking about paint or wrap to a midnight purple
Harley will flat out reject any tuner that is not EPA compliant. That is still their Ace in the hole for denials.
At 13:18 in the video it’s mentioned that the first pulls represents: cam, lifters, intake, exhaust, and S&S tappet cuffs.
Did you forget the valve springs that was recommended by the manufacturer for this cam and noted at the beginning 3:08 of the video, or was that not included for part of the first pull? Also, are the anti-reversion pipes 3:18 recommended or a must include for the build?. Curious and I’ve been jotting down the parts list.
Valve springs are an absolute must. I think they failed to mention it, I thought the same as you.
Never heard such infernal jaw-jackin' in all my life and all I wanted to hear was the engine.
Man, when you jumped on it, there was no lag or bog in power delivery. Especially for a stage 2.
That is a big difference.
(Plus, it is some of that "magic horsepower Bae" Chris throws into it... ;)
It also sounds very noise... lol
Huge difference in the before vs after! And what noise? You mean music? lol
@@BlockheadMoto did this change the sound of the exhaust at all? I have 107 with a stage 2 and it sounds significantly better and louder than my 117 with the same exhaust systems on both bikes.
Awesome these are the really cool videos thanks
I love thrashin supply parts you should have invite Lance Juan and the Tulane 2 live Crew to the blockhead grand opening! just make sure Lance has a diner to thrash on
that thing will haul ass with that much power
I’m looking at the same setup for my 107 I wonder if if the 107-117 difference would matter ? (Science)also the f35a needs valve spring the 30/30 does not, how about is it worth doing valve springs or just buy the 30/30 cam,? Are the valve springs worth it?
It depends on which meets your riding needs. If you want low to mid range torque go with the 30/30 if what he says in the video and what the chart pulls state. If you don’t want to put a bunch of $ parts into the bike I’d go woods 22xe or 30/30. Gixerfoo has a good video about aftermarket cams in 107s they produce just as good results with stage 2
30-30 for sure. You’re gonna feel a nice bump in power from stock. Spending the extra on the springs, injectors, throttle body, etc. to accommodate the F-35A is just like Chris said in the video. Not exactly worth the squeeze. You’re not really gonna be able to tell the difference of 5-10 more hp or torque. At least I can’t after riding my buddies stage 2 with the same mods as mine, his being on a 107 & mine being on a 114. Just make sure you have a good running pipe & air cleaner. Lot of exhausts out there dump all the power.
What are your feelings on the Bassani 2:1’s?
Comp cams 246a made 115hp on my 107, the same comp 246a made 126hp on a 114 same dyno same tuner
I just ordered the valve springs, f35a cam, and a compensator all from Star racing last night. I am so excited for this build.
Nice! Great setup for sure
Why the compensator ?
@@chazzcapone. that’s one of if not the the weakest points in the drivetrain. The Harley comp is way too hard and brittle and it breaks causing all sorts of problems. The star racing comp along with others like it is made with a more durable material that does not fail under high power.
What did you end up with?
128hp 127tq@@JakobKaizen
hope people know what that power dose cause it can put you in a bit of danger. just because you have all that power and talk you need to know how and when to use it. ride your ride and most of all be safe. your situation can change in a heartbeat.
What's difference this to the 131 setup ?
whats the mpg like with these cams
Riding, motor cycle life~ 🌞
If you raise your hand, 👋, it's even more nice to meet you. It's safer. It's more honest.
Always be happy with you.👏👏
Plenty of power. Cool screw man.
Why did you guys omitt showing the dyno results after the cam instal?
goldzillas flat black fairing is kickass.
I'm glad you are ok after Ian.
Thanks Randy!
My road king special makes 181hp and 165 torque it's fun to ride
Big numbers! What’re you running, all engine or forced induction?
You guys should have something extra at the Grand Opening for Blockhead Members. Just a thought 💭
VIP tour or something 😮
Long time supporter. Preciate you guys ✌🏻
Grand opening will be for everyone. After that, we’ll try and sort some things out for members only 🤘🏼
@@BlockheadMoto awesome. I’m riding down from NJ. Look forward to it!
I've seen good stuff with tts 175 cams
Man I’d love to own this bike…
When is the ftr coming back with that build?
Wonder if they used stock pushrods? they may have mentioned it but I didn't catch it if they did.
Great question. Since the heads were removed to change the springs it was definitely a possibility.
Great video as usual. I am an old guy. Spent so much money modifying cars and motorcycles for more power. Sadly, big horsepower requires big wallets. What I have learned through the years is FORCED INDUCTION, which is expensive, gives most Horsepower for the buck. Future oem bikes will follow the car emissions handbook. From VVT, Forced induction, hybrid to full electric.
Hmm
