Dear Sir, I enjoyed your video, on my bike I used the zippers RS 468 Cam. I was not getting the full benefit of the cam until I got rid of the FP3. That was a great stage one tuner but when I came to going with a stage two it was just lacking. I finally bit the bullet and got a professional tune. I got full performance and torque out of my bike it really woke it up. I also got most of my fuel economy back. And as far as low speed maneuvering it was not even noticeable. Good luck keep up the good work.
Appreciate it John. Yeah I know the fp3 isn’t ideal. I should’ve budgeted a dyno tune into the cost of it all. It’ll happen at some point. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Everything you mentioned from the pros and cons, I love it. When I leave for work early in the morning I definitely wake up the whole neighborhood. It is freakin’ loud. That loudness is a needed advantage when splitting lanes and getting distracted drivers off their damn phones

I have the same bike with 475 cam and you need to get it Dyno tuned. It will improve your fuel efficiency and throttle response all the way through the rpm range. I also gained over 10hp and ft of torque over the Dyno jet canned map after the Dyno tune. Your leaving a lot on the table if your just using a canned map.
I did the same, but total loss of low-end power. I used Power Vision canned tuner. Need to get more miles on it, so I can take it to a professional tuner now. Top end is great however.

One of the coolest looking bikes I've had. Someday I'll do the 475 and it will sound like my old 440 six pack Challenger at idle. Can't wait.

Hoping to make my Low Rider S rumble like it should. Appreciate you making this video. Definitely going to go with this cam. Do you really need a cam? Well now I know why! These m8's don't sound as good as the old Evos & Twin Cams. Anyway, hoping this cam fixes my new ride and gives it that thunder that it's missing.

It pulls hard and to me runs damn well. No dyno and I am getting upper 40s if I am just riding it normal and not twisting it out a lot. I had thought I may be missing something by not getting a Power Vision and a dyno tune but I already had the FP3 when I first installed the Short Shots no cam. Really good point and I agree 100%. I noticed that I’m clutching a lot more during slow speeds to smooth out the bike which isn’t ideal. Hey man didn’t know if you have got this figured out yet or not. But after a few months of having my 475 cam installed and about 10 auto tune sessions I am getting 10mpg more per fill up. Actually on long rides cruising around d 80-90 mph I was averaging 48mpg. Stock was 34-36.

FP3 is trash. Complete waste of money. Thundermax or Power Vision are the only options. You're leaving ALL of the performance on the table by not having a dyno tune using either of those.
It's not. They don't sell millions because they are trash. They work just fine with a stage 1 upgrade. That being said, after a cam swap there is no substitute for a dyno/tune at a good shop by a knowledgeable tuner. @@IronBornRider
I have a 22 Road glide ST and run a 475, injectors, turbo etc now, pretty built up.. What you are experiencing is normal power increase and fuel decrease, you are also experiencing a major tuning issue. When my bike had a Dynajet it, the bike would chop and run like an old school dual cammed bike that’s hopped. It should not run that much chop with this small cam, after a proper Dyno tune you are then finding out that you have been starving your bike and hurting the poor thing. Get it healthy, it will run a lot better. Fasteddieschannel

Question if i may. By any chance did you get the code PO330 on your bike. I got it and ive changed 2 tunes from fuel moto and both tunes give me same code keeps coming back after erased.. help if possible please
Sounds like u put back your exhaust and it’s binding causing it to vibrate even more
Damn, sounds sweet. My kind ride...... 🤘
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words
Thats harley of frederick…. Where you from?
I’m local in Maryland. I’m in the Rockville area
Awesome 👌🏻🔥🔥
🤘🤘
Does it level out at cruising speed?
Yeah as soon as you hit about 2800-3k rpm it smoothed out
2022 RGS 2in1 big breather, powervision, etc.bike runs hard in the throttlw.traffice slow speeds pretty fuckn horrible. Its a love hate with rhis cam
I hate being in traffic that much more now. It’s miserable
What if you went with the Powervision? Can the low speed issues being fixed? And can you describe how its horrible. Does it seem like the bike wants to stall on you at low speeds while manuvering?etc. Thanx!!
@@andrewwatt8726 I’ve read that with a dyno tune you can smooth out the throttle response a bit. At lower rpm you have to make sure to give it more gas than you typically would or else it feels like it’ll stall
I found out also right away that 475 is not that smooth in lower gears an lower speed
Agreed!
im thinking about doing my own cam what tools would you say are a must have for this job
Assuming you have a standard set of tools, you’ll also want to get a cam bearing tool, crankshaft runout tool
@@IronBornRider are those tools you can rent or you buy and use once
@@LSHD254 I’m not sure if you can rent them. I bought mine off of Amazon and it wasn’t too bad
@@IronBornRider ok was there anything that you didn’t plan on needing that you ending up having to get just trying to prepare as much as possible
@@IronBornRider ok cool
Guys please advise if low rider s is great for long trips , planning to trade in my xlc 1200 custom and get low rider s , but have a bad back , are the suspensions on these good
There are better softails for comfort, but with some modifications the low rider s can be good for long trips
No problem riding on long trips, I have the 2019 low rider standard and I do several 400,500 mile days and love it, all stock except slip ones and Harley’s sun downer seat, different bars hated the buckhorns. Go for it you’ll love it especially if you get the S
thanks mate
@@IronBornRider
thanks mate, planning to book a test ride and check , cos these Models have sewing machine sound lol
yeah had Solo Sundowner for Custom, but changed to Saddlemen now , had a minor incident , bike in workshop , will try a tradie in with Harley Heaven once they done with repairs ,cheers
safe ride everyone@@tennesseebound6597
I ride about 250 to 300 miles every Sunday on mine, it's great with a good seat
CR/APE 483 sounds better, and I walk 475s all day. Got 125hp/135tp on the dyno with the SPC Big bore and V&H VO2 Falcon
nonsense
Is the low end torque on the 475 worse than stock cam?
I haven’t done a dyno to compare before and after but to me it doesn’t feel worse. It does lug if you feather the clutch or ride in the lower rpm’s
Yes much worse under 3k
? Pv3 tuner will do everything any other tuner will do still have to tune a thunder max tuner no difference call fuel Moto for a tune $99 I have had all my bikes dino tuned my buddies FM tune is pretty spot on worth the call to Fuel Moto
Yeah I’m gonna get my tuner and tune through fuel moto for sure
Sounds great 👍 , bitch'en bad ass bike !!! Just bought one for my wife 😁
Awesome! She’s a lucky woman
Bad tune u should get 38 to 42 mpg
💯
🤘🤘
That’s what she said
She did lol
Definitely a beginner’s motorcycle almost a girls bike
I am not hearing anything significant about this cam. It’s basically a cam change and a tune.
A good, drop in torque cam. Nothing kuch to it. It is the best sounding cam upgrade for a 107 or 114, in my opinion.
Hahaha you couldn’t help yourself “that’s what she said”
Stop wasting time get yourself a Redshift 472 one and done night and day 🎉
FP3 is trash. Complete waste of money. Thundermax or Power Vision are the only options. You're leaving ALL of the performance on the table by not having a dyno tune using either of those.
But why is the fp3 trash? No one could ever give me a detailed answer other than “it’s trash”. I actually would like to know
It's not. They don't sell millions because they are trash. They work just fine with a stage 1 upgrade. That being said, after a cam swap there is no substitute for a dyno/tune at a good shop by a knowledgeable tuner. @@IronBornRider
🤣 *Promo SM*
I have a 22 Road glide ST and run a 475, injectors, turbo etc now, pretty built up..
What you are experiencing is normal power increase and fuel decrease, you are also experiencing a major tuning issue. When my bike had a Dynajet it, the bike would chop and run like an old school dual cammed bike that’s hopped. It should not run that much chop with this small cam, after a proper Dyno tune you are then finding out that you have been starving your bike and hurting the poor thing. Get it healthy, it will run a lot better.

Thanks for the advice. Really helpful 🤘
Great bike for grandma.
