All about the aero! Nice race. One day, Harley will make a forward-lean sportbike with a revmax engine that will scare the daylights out of the japanese sport riders... one day. I just hope someone makes one DIY soon so I can watch it
The popping is probably the go pro actually moving, if you havent fixed it now try the rubber plugs they sell that go in the mount. Anti vibration or anti lost plug they called them I forget
Wish I knew this at the time. Thanks for the info. I ended up getting rid of the media mod and buying the GoPro mic adapter which seemed to have fixed the issue for now. If the popping comes back I’ll def try that out
I love my Street Bob... Don't get me wrong.... But my money is on the R6. Most 600's will out run that Street Bob. You'd have better chances Stop light to stop light as those inlines create most of their power at high Rev. For a 650 pound bike.... The Street Bob moves pretty good. My 04 SV650 is probably faster though. lol
Haha yeah man, we were just having some fun. I wouldn’t stand a chance against his R6 on open roads. My street bob tops at out 130. He can do 180 easily on his R6. Not much of a race there lol
MTX Road Thunder sound bar. It’s good. Has good sound quality and volume. With a fairing on the bike you can hear it well at 90 mph. Anything faster than that and the wind drowns it out. Before I put the fairing on you start to lose the sound around 80 mph
The gauge tops out at 130 but the rpms continue to climb. Idk how accurate the speedo is. It’s usually off by a couple mph. I’d say it pushes close the 140.
How did u bypass the gov? My 131 hits 110mph and i cant even use the last inch n a half or so of my throttle. Im using all screaming eagle stuff. Im guess use a diff tuner?
After the cam install my mechanic tuned the bike. Not sure exactly what he did to bypass the gov. But even still you should be getting more than 110 mph out of the 131. When my 114 was completely stock it would still hit 117 mph.
@@ZR0MOTO yeah I have the tuner connected to my phone. Tuning it diff ways gives me diff top speeds. Now I have it tuned stage 4 correctly, but it hits 110mph and acceleration stops. I'm guessing you're using the V&H tuning over Harley's tuner, but not sure. I'm about to start over. If u ever hear how and remember me please share, thanks
@@carrollcopeland I’m pretty sure I don’t have a physical tuner on the bike. Mechanic used a street tuner. I had to buy a license through him so he could tune it through the ECU I believe. It’s kind of a tune a step below bringing it to a dyno shop.
Haha yeah it’s a ton of fun and catches a lot of people off guard with how quick it is. Moves pretty good for a 700lb+ bike. Can’t go wrong with s&s my dude
The biggest seperation in performance they have is top speed. Which as you can see in this video neither of you even reached max speed. Its litterally useless to buy a sport bike for top speed when you never use it. May as well get the Harley. On public roads they aint gunna be going any faster than no harley. Maaaybe 0001% of the time. But to sacrifice comfort and everything else a Harley offers just for the top speed increase that they will probably never use is the stupidest thing eveer. I have an FXDR 114 and a Vrod Muscle. This looked like sick fun! I wouldve loved to rip with yall.
Yeah there was a decent amount of cars on the road that day so we weren’t really pushing it too much. Although I will say that the R6 rider is a psycho and I’ve seen him hit 170+ on the highways a bunch of times. I tend to agree with you though that it’s tough to use a sport bike to its full potential on public roads. I own a sport bike as well and it’s all about what mood I’m in and what I want to ride that day. I enjoy both bikes equally as much just for different reasons. Where you from? We are in New England
@ZR0MOTO Oh i believe it. One of my buddy's did 185 on his s1k. I'm in Alaska. This place isn't a good place to own a motorcycle. The season is waay too short. I used to own 2 sport bikes but I currently own 4 Harleys. Maaaybe one day I'll trade them all in for an H2 just so I can pull up next to sport bikes and never race. Hahaha.
@@ZR0MOTO how tall are you? I’ve been trying to decide on ordering my fairing with a windshield. I wanna do chin mounted go pro-scenery-ride videos. But always worry that at 5’10” - 5’11” that a 15 or 11in would be too big for the GoPro to see. Was thinking of going for the 9in windshield for my height to have the camera clear the windshield.
@@MistuhrVex I’m about as close as you can get to 6’. So we are probably pretty close to the same height. If you are looking for a more scenic camera angle a shorter windscreen may be the better choice for you. I like when the camera view looks through the windscreen because it gives the viewer a sort of “cockpit” experience and has a cool action effect to it.
The street bob is sick
hell yeah man, super fun bike to ride
Fast as hell

The new Sportster-S is that bike minus the lean forward position.
@@markurbancowboy I love those. The riding pisition is what kills the speed, but it's a sportster, not a race bike. Racester one day? Hopefully

Right on, I’ll keep an eye out for ya
Love it

How did the fairing hold up? Mine seems to wanna rattle off when going + speeds.
I’ve never noticed any rattling coming from mine. Seems pretty solid on there
What type of speaker is that on the bars? How is it
