- Easiest way to make stuff fit is to cut it to pieces and glue it together with the welder. In this episode we modify the Dominator Motorsports intake plenum to suit the intercooler placement, and we pick up a hilux diff!

400hp in an RX4 will destroy 235's and I'm absolutely here for it. Loving the build mate.
I do true trac torsen lsds for those
Om will look great
Little bit of work, but seems like it is a nice balanced combo
Yeah buds on a Mazda? It's never been done before!
Just a fyi tallest ratio for the hilux diff is a 3:58 :)>>
Shit hot Broomy !!!👍🍻 was nice yesterday in Nth Dandy out in the backyard !!
Get yourself a Spartan Locker for the diff, I got one a while ago for my diff after a bit of feedback from Matt Cole (a name I'm sure you'd be familiar with) He said it was a massive success in his Rx7 and hasn't had any issues torturing it with the 20b. Took away the under steer in entry to corners and punches out of corners well. 👌
That looks like a mini spool ? Isn’t an engineer on earth that would sign off on a car with a locked diff.
@@BroomysGarage They are more of an auto unlocker. Replaces the spider gears only.
@@BroomysGarage as mentioned above, they operate on pressure to lock during acceleration, but act like an open diff when cruising, no binding like a locker or spool
You really don't seem to have a lot of brakes for a fairly powerful car, even if it's light. That being said, with the moderate power for drag racing, this could be good for street tyre class
A VS commodore weighs approx 1450kg and had towing capacity of 2100kg. The hilux weighed 1560kg and had towing capacity of 1600kg. This car will weigh significantly less than both of these and runs a combination of brakes off both these cars which means the brake capacity will be more than sufficient. Have driven plenty of Mazdas over the years with hilux drums and even smaller front discs and they all stop perfectly fine.
@@BroomysGarage but can you go to VT front calipers? Increased braking ability is always good at high speed.
What about a manual locker for the diff being a hilux.
Like an arb air locker or something else, could be something different and probably cheaper
Would the engineer or licensing request the spare wheel well to stay ? I’ve heard of it being a sticking point on some builds over this side of the island
I need flat floor to fit the water to air heat exchanger and surge tank underneath. If the engineer requires a spare, it can just sit on the flat floor inside the boot anyway so don’t see it being a problem.
I'm at Heathcote,where the f$^k are you!!!
