i dont have any loom. I am going to run LED lights as they barely consume 3 amps at full noise, so then i can just run 7 core trailer wiring so its nice and small and easy to hide.
6:09 if there are modern buses (coaches? don't know the Aussie word) in the breakers yards' you frequent take a look at the ones that have those insect headlights, like 4-4 round lights each side. Those are more than likely Hella LED projectors, perfectly legal to use on the road. And sealed. And they have those cheap weathertight connectors.
I’ll send them a message again, but I’ve already got PLENTY of items from that 929 you’re talking about and I seem to remember asking for this stuff previously and Vince didn’t have it.
I got a reply from the engineer this morning (this was filmed on the weekend) and looks like JTX lighting are prettt much the only ones making 5.75” round replacement adr approved lights and engineer is ok with them.
I bet you'll get so many ideas and solutions and apologies for giving you one. But does your local community library have car manuals? A decade or so ago I would borrow complete workshop manuals from the library which have wiring diagrams. Should save you pinning and probing.
I have wiring diagrams, but these were written in the 1970’s and aren’t exceptionally detailed and not always exactly the right wire colours either. I’ve used the manuals I have to help with the combination switch already but they were so so. They also do not have info as to what wire colour goes to what pin on the modules. There are 18 pin outs on the module, and I don’t have time to probe and test them all to work out what goes where. Also, if I make a mistake and blow up a module they are hard to find and expensive to replace.
I could activate the converter dumps at a certain rpm, however it generates a huge amount of heat in the converter, so sort of counter productive to keeping trans temps under control. Has been something that crossed my mind however. I’ve found the dumps don’t do a lot for me however because the engine makes 2/10ths f all torque anyway lol
@@BroomysGarage If you have trans temp you could set limits, most times you don't let them idle for large amounts anyway, just to make it more drivable.
@@BroomysGarage Actually, you can check online they are called 'imlachs' ... ALLMAZ is not far from there also, give them a buzz?? Also, i've got the wiring diagram/s in PDF if you want to make a new one, OR if you have no luck anywhere i'll ask Anthony (petrozRx4) he has factory ones i might be able to organise something for you.
Nice to see a modified early Mazda that's NOT rolling on yeah buds...
For the headlights, run the semi sealed lights with modern bulbs and build a sub loom with relays triggered off the original wiring

I'd say just stick a Barra in it like everyone else does, but...
LPG V-TECH FWD with double flux capacitors is more Broomy's style though, this Barra conversion is WAY out there man...
What it really needs is a K-swap...
There is one in QLD that was 75% through a conversion, not sure if it got completed.
I use that CAS setup it's worked on my old MicroSquirt and My current FT550
EBay or just rotaries wreckers has a 929 it will have all you need, they are located at Melbourne

@@BroomysGarage damn it…I’ll keep my eyes an ears open for you…I know how it is I’m currently chasing parts for my Rx3 👍🏼
I would look at trucklite or Kenworth lights as they sell them from the factory with led lights but no halo ring.
Headlights are available from Bangin Headlights. Located in Australia. Perth I think

I wish I could help but I sold my 929 12 years ago for $1000. It still hurts! Good luck Broomy.
I bought a complete running one for $50 about 20 years ago just for the radiator and sent the rest of the car to sims metal 😂😳
Speak to Jim at Sideshows Performance Wiring in QLD. He'd make that harness up for you with his eyes closed

Bugger. I wish I had one for you.
Maybe look at a fluid bypass, when in Park and at idling

If you only knew how smart you are!
Sorry if I missed it, are you running a nexus?
2500 tv iirc
Just the elite 2500t.
@@BroomysGarage no worries, I have an R3 and run all that crap off it
I feel like a Nexus would make this much easier however $$$$
Would have cost an extra 2k to do it, and then burn multiple inputs and outputs just to do it.
they had a whole car last time i went to Center road wreckers
This decade or recently ? Lol

I think rx5 is sort of similar and even rx2 a little bit, but rx7 is different
