What a good Christmas present…
Congrats on the 10K. Well deserved and so overdue!
We thank you for the content and lessons mate🤙🤙✊️
Nice wheels bro
Really enjoying your updates, happy with your format and giving an update on what you have done.
Bring it on!
thi is gonna be a beautiful car when it's done true street
I'm liking the finish result style of your videos broomy. Showing every last detail does get repetitive when you see it constantly.
Keep up the good work. Hope you and your family have a good Xmas and New Year's.
Going to be a interesting parts bin car.
Given the fact you do everything yourself, any content is great content. Merry Xmas to you all and can't wait to see this out on Drag N Drive events shortly 😋😋
Slightly disappointed you're not going with a log-style manifold and dumping the wastegate to atmosphere for that pure, beautiful Barra "BOOOOOOOOOOR" noise!
Can’t get it engineered like that! 1 massive reason right there! 🤷♂️
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 🎄🎅🧑🎄 From Finland 🇫🇮
Falcon ute ZF tailshaft with a custom slip yoke, centre bearing with mid mounts.
Yeah someone commented that the ZF ute still has solid axle. Yet to find one in the wild at a wrecker though. Will keep hunting !
@@BroomysGarage just scrapped one 6 months ago from a BF turbo ute. Didnt realise they were hard to find. Haha
Bloody ripper Broomy🍻👍 Get Festive !!! Have a great Xmas you and the family!!!
Congrats on the 10k mate 👍
This is going to be such a weapon of a car. Our Barra powered VC Commodore only has 430rwhp and it gets sketchy very quickly on the street lol .... Love the build :o)
Hey mate the Ute's have a solid diff on leaf springs and the tail shaft is a monster 5 or 6 inch alloy single piece you might be able to do something with
I’ve been looking for a ZF powered Ute at every wrecker for months and months and still yet to find one, so wasn’t sure what the shaft setup in them was.
@@BroomysGarage I'm getting under mine (FG ZF) today for some trans cooler plumbing, I'll take some pics that might help? That said, you're the next postcode over so if you want to eyeball in person that's a possibility too.
Don't the factory Ford tailshafts explode at 190klms/h though?
Great work Broomy. Coming together very well
Ha ha ha you pushed on the front end of the car and the suspension didn't move a millimetre because the car is on the hoist, but the panels flexed like WHOA...
You would have made me very cross if you had put Fr's on it.
Just wondering what is the easiest way to find diff gears for these hilux diffs as I can only find gears to suit ford 9in, chevy bolt10/12 or Dana diffs but i was told they are different to a hilux
Did the engineer tell you what dictates the tire size maximum? I would have thought that bigger tires would have been easier to engineer with as they are obviously a safety feature. I know QLD is different to VIC but I'd be interested in hearing what's said.
Yes, im not doing anything on the car without written approval or guidelines first.
“You cannot go smaller in width or diameter than the smallest OEM size
You can go 15mm bigger in diameter than OEM size on a light passenger vehicle
You can go 1.3x wider than OEM size on a light passenger vehicle
The front must be within 70% of the rear if running staggered.
The wheels must be marked with the appropriate ADR requirement, have stamped weight, PCD and offset - refer to attached info from VSB14 for acceptable markings, below.”
@Broomy's Garage awesome thanks for clearing that up. Interesting that you can do so much modification to everything else but can't go more than 15mm from stock wheels and tires. Really restricts the options. You might be able to engineer with bigger but that would include a lot more work and testing from the engineer in that department (I assume)
Also depends on the engineer and how picky he wants to be and how he wants to interpret the guidelines and they are open to interetation unfortunately, this one sounds picky as because there's cars down here engineered with 16" wide rears, full tubs and skinny front runners lol
It's kinda shit how there isn't a set standard set of clear guidelines tbh, I've read it and it's a giant head f ,confusing as hell...
P.s delete link please broomey
I guess its a cheaper to make 1000hp with a Barra .
