Where would you insert HABIT into that equation? Plain old, unthinking habit.

I see. But if we create habits automatically from what we love, then from where do our bad habits come? Address where to fit our habits beneficial/detrimental/neither into your original equation of the relative power of the ideas.

@@jm7thlevel237 To be honest I don't believe in habits. Actually we are free to change everything in our life. Habit is how our brain functions and forces us to do whatever it wants us to do (whatever it "loves" to do). The same goes for bad habits. We all love sugar, don't we? Though we all know it won't make us healthy but "brain" loves it. This is all nature.
I would personally put "habit" around "discipline", maybe even part of it. But because we are not slaves of our mind, that is why habit as an idea is too weak to even have a place in my relation of powers.

So true, reminds me of a quote "Ideas are changed not by willpower as so commonly believed, but by other ideas". Also, I appreciate the sleight at people on instagram posting 2 plate benches haha.

I am confused by publicizing ones own mediocrity. I'm confused with publicizing ones private life in general, really. It is akin to relating ones dreams to someone else...in painful detail!

Mr. Blakely. I have set a goal to run a marathon next year and an ultramarathon the next year. I'm not hardcore but I am driven and stubborn and I will complete my goals. My question is I'm not sure I love the process of running, during the run sometimes HATE it but at the end of the run I love that I did it and I love how it feels. Is this the same love you are talking about or should I love it during the run.

That's a good observation. You are in love with the product. No so much the process. But that's a powerful love all the same. It's just transactional. You are paying, fair and square, for what you really, really want. Go one further step...identify WHY you want to travel 26 or 100 likes bu foot. What's so important about being 26.2 Mike's down the road? It isn't really the distance you want to cover, it's about SOMETHING ELSE you want. What will running the marathon actually "pay for" in your situation? That's what you really want and what you love.
