Gone through a lot of mental health stuff over the past several years, one of the things I've learned is the power of a mindset. So often I hated who I was because I was that person, i felt and believed I couldn't change. What I've learned and now trying to apply is the idea that I can become and so at the core I can change but it doesn't have to be immediate. So I can be present without being chained to the past and future, not stuck in that fantasy or fear of what was or what could be. Learning to live my life and experiencing every emotion and feeling that comes with it. Really enjoyed the video

I like the phrase "not chained to the past or future". It has resonance with me. Becoming who we want to be is a far better use of our energy than 'finding' or 'discovering' ourselves.

I blew through 20 years of my adult life constantly thinking ahead or replaying the past. I missed a whole lot of things that I will never have the opportunity to live again by not living in the present. It took the most traumatic event of my life (so far) to shake me hard enough to begin to open my eyes. I too, wish someone would have let me in on this information much sooner, although in honesty, I doubt I would've been able to hear the message. I love your content, please keep putting it out there. Thanks!

As with any true inspired wisdom; this applies to all aspects of life. Truly worth listening to. Thank you.

I'm so glad I remembered that you have a UA-cam channel. I found this video to very useful, since I'm prone to performing tasks with my mind in the background like a robot so I will practice staying in the moment which I also suspect will make many experiences more enjoyable. Thank you sir

Thank you for this message. Really helped me a lot honestly to realize I have to be present instead of looking too far into future goals in my lifting career. I find myself obsessed with being the best bencher ever instead of “becoming” the best bencher. Very good way of thinking.

Good stuff JM. I will be giving the The Miracle of Mindfulness book recommendation a go when I next get some Audible credits. I really enjoyed the Power of Now. If you enjoyed that too, I can highly recommend the book "The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer" honestly I think it is just as good or maybe even better than The Power of Now. You'd probably really enjoy it.

Random question. I’ve heard you say you ate 3lbs of broccoli per day to cut weight, was the broccoli all you had each day or did you eat anything else? Thanks

The broccoli fit my < 150 calories per pound rule. So even on bery liw calorie days it was only a part of the total.
