UPDATE No2 THE END TO END LAYOUT

Вставка
  • Опубліковано 8 лют 2024
  • The end to end layout where we are at end of Jan. 2024. Things I have bought or ordered. The track needs holding down how have I done this and then connected to the computer with Railmaster to run a train and see what needs sorting (a lot). I have used the Rapido 15XX loco (1501) 0-6-0 with sound to run the banana train into the "unloading bay" and other tracks with Kadee couplers to see were the uncoupler magnets should be its all good fun is it not.

    Hi Robert- This is coming along very nicely and seeing trains running makes it easier to see what you need to change but it is a big step forward.

      Hi Kev,
      Yes I do like to get trains running as soon as possible just because I like running trains but it is helping to see what needs to be different and in no 3 I go through these and show what they are along with a first look at the backscene for it so cheers for watching and your very nice comments keep safe and well.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Deano,
      Yes with all these card kits to build could be useful indeed so again cheers for watching and your very nice comments and another update to come where I show the backscene I have bought as well as a run along the rails. Keep well and buying.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Neil,
      Yes I think this one should stop me from getting bored so will do some more running to sort out the uncoupling problems as for the cutting out when fitted with the droppers should be good as it is up in the loft, cheers very much for watching and your very nice comments another update where I show the backscene for it to come.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Philip,
      Yes fun but a lot harder than iTrains but this is a manual layout and thats what I want except for the computer and Railmaster no electronics except for the chips in the locos that is, so cheers for watching and your very nice comments more updates to come. I hope you are well and why do you not do one like this if you have the space it is a nice way to fill the time and not to hard to do.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Andy,
      To knaw on the bone teeth are required so I will pass on that but cheers for watching and your very nice comments and yes coming along but on this build test, test and test again is the order of the day so watch the next update to see how we are doing then dry weather is required to get on with the woodwork. keep well and Ali Pally is getting closer looking forward to it.
      Cheers Robert.

    Hi Robert fantastic to hear from you and the end to end is going to be so mush fun. Must say shunting is fun in my plan three countries have one or two areas to do shunting while itrains runs the rest of the trains all except for Japan that is still just trains running there's no industry's just a station, there will be goods trains but just running. So looking forward to seeing the next video. Colin

      Hi Colin,
      I must say I am enjoying doing this build and it must be the same for you although on two different scales if you get my drift so yes I am trying to make sure the track plan and the track work are good before I glue and ballest it but some dry weather is needed so I can get on with the woodwork outside so thanks so much for watching and your very nice comments another update to follow and as I now have the backscene will show that. Keep well and building after all you have just a little bit more to build than me.
      Cheers Robert.

    Hi Robert
    I think the main problem you had there was the uncoupling magnets where on a slight curve which is why you had so many derailments, the wagons where riding up on the magnets as they went over them.
    All the best, Rob.

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi Rob,
      Yes bang on but when I fit the under rail ones it should work fine so I am still test running and a new update to come and then down to the weather to dry up so the woodwork can start. As always thanks for watching and your very nice and helpful comments keep well ands afe.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Roy,
      I am pleased to report that the foot is doing very well the walks are what it needed to start healing I think so will keep doing them. The layout is getting there so another update to come and I will show the backscene for it and then I need some dry weather so I can get on with the woodwork. Thanks very much for watching and your very nice comments and its great to see your railway and channel doing so well if only mine was the same but I am enjoying doing the new one and it gives a way do more YT videos as subject matter can be a problem for "finished " layouts, I hope you are both keeping well and enjoying running the trains.
      Cheers Robert.

      Yes a bit slow but I think when you are going to glue and ballast track its worth getting it right as well as getting some dry weather for the woodwork outside so thanks for watching and your very nice comments more updates to follow.

    I call it an Uncoupler Ramp. This sort of thing is most useful in a station loop. My theory is the Uncoupler Ramp works better with NEM couplings on straight and level track. Kadee couplings are not so good with Uncoupler Ramps, as the curved rod parts underneath tend to trip on the edge.

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  5 місяців тому

      Hi Kelly,
      Yes the ramps do not work very well so that is why I am putting the magnetic ones under the track for the Kadee's and the plastic up & down ones for the old hornby ones if I can get them to work so keep watching. As always thanks very much for watching and your very nice comments keep well and safe.
      Cheers Robert.

      So am I but I will give it a go as this layout needs away to keep the Hand of God at bay so cheers for watching and the very nice comments and its good using the shop the prices were ok a new update to come and as the new backscene has come will show that along with a track run to see if the track is good then nice weather so the wood work can get started. Hope you are ok and work is good.

    robert why dont you get a kadee gauge to make sure that the uncoupling hight is right.

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  5 місяців тому

      Hi Derek,
      Yes I may do that but at the moment just using the plierers to bend them enough to miss the uncouplers but when they are under the track may need to rethink will have to see but it is progressing in the testing department and getting near to the woodwork part but before that a new update will come with a run along the rails and a look at the new backscene so thank you for watching and your very informative comment all I need is some dry weather to get on with it. Hope you are ok.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Alan,
      Cheers for watching and the useful comments and yes I do know about these but with the way this is construted there is no room for electronics and I want to operate by hand with the wires and the under track ones should work well so in other words this layout is the complete opposite of the loft one wish me luck. Hope you are well and your layout is now running as you want.
      Cheers Robert.
