Using that different glue to glue the rails down how well is it glued and is it worth using? Talking of heads what is wrong with mine!!! You will be pleased to know there is not a mouse or mice in this at all just a man me.

Layout coming on well and note you are sorting the bridge problem out well. There is a road bridge on the skew near where I live so I think I might take a look next time I am near there and see how they have done things. Great fun looking at the real thing! Cheers Malcolm

    Hello Robert,
Another grand video, but first, we want to wish you luck with the medical procedure and hope it is benign. The end-to-end is a great effort and, from theory to execution, bumps are going to happen. I like what you are doing and the adjustment and curve to the tunnels/overpass will actually be a better look because it is less angular and rigid, but flowing and evocative. So, I think it is a happy discovery and the change seemed easy enough on this side of the video. lol All the best to you! Cheers!

      Hi Anthony & Joyce,
I do not yet have an appointment for the hospital its just a case of waiting over here but hope its not to long after all get me in remove the problem and another hopefully succesful case sorted for the stats!!! I hope Joyce is recovering well ready for that super trip to Aus its a super place with loads to see. Cheers as always for watching and your very nice comments and see how the build went next Friday. I hope we get a follow up to the building work you have done as it will be nice to see you both enjoying a drink on the finished job but I am super impressed on what you have done.
      Cheers Robert.

When making a layout, even with a drawing you will end up moving things around to fit in buildings, houses, roads along with other items. I tried to make a curved viaduct using a Metcalfe Kit and a pack of sheeting to match. I ended up with four squares to which I was unable to fit any track to it. I have had some Perspeck ones made. I will try and cover them using the kits. Good luck with the End to End. Martin. (Thailand)

I'm sure it will all look good when you get it finished. I would try skewing the entrances myself but I know you said you don't want to do that.
Hope all goes well with your appointment and look forward to your next update.

Interesting video Robert, and an fascinating challenge. I think the model kit could have been modified to skew, but it would be a fiddly job and require a fair bit of working out.
I agree removing the siding section gives more space and having two bridge sections would make the build easier. Maybe you could put a girder bridge between the two brick sections. I did similar with my viaduct recently, making the girder bridge to connect the two sections together. Please say if I can help, you know where am...

Hi Robert- First up good luck with the head and I hope everything goes well.
As I was behind on your videos I thought I would jump to this one so at least I am up to date. I have found that plans keep having to be amended even though they seemed to be well planned !! My next video will prove that point big time 🤣
    Cheers Kev

      Hi Kev,
Yes will look forward to seeing your next video in that case but if you don't like sorting out problems then model railways may not be for you possibly. Thanks as always for watching and your very nice comments the conclusion to the bridge on Friday so keep well all of you down there and your railshow is getting ever nearer.
      Cheers Robert.

Can I suggest you check the clearance with a 2nd coach running alongside the coach in the far siding (instead of that dock shunter). You might notice that a coach will stick its ends out on a curve because of how far away the bogie is from the coach end. It gets worse as the bogies are placed further away from the coach end.
Good luck with that skin issue. Doctors have been doing those kind of procedures to my dad for years and he's 90 this year.

      Hi,
Yes when I was waiting to see the consultant an 80 year old was there and he had had many of these taken away so there's hope for me just need that appointment date. Thanks very much for watching and your very nice comments and yes I take your point on the coach but this bit of track is more so I can exit loco's off scene and remove them and the one next to it is just for very small trains so will just have to choose what goes there. The next is on Friday so please watch to see how the bridge turned out.
      Cheers Robert.

Try out what you wanna do. Otherwise you won't know whether it'll go well or not. I've got my camera back, and videos are being uploaded on my channel once more. There's a new one, showing off a new creative talent of mine. I bought a hardback A4-sized sketchbook from ebay, around the £16 mark. I've turned it into a Sam's Trains Storybook. The video is ready to be uploaded, but there's another one I need to finish off first and that is to do with Thomas the Tank Engine stories and playing trains. I have a hospital check-up appointment next week, so it's nothing to worry about. I really miss watching your steamies running up in the loft.

    • @robertstrainset6556

      Hi Kelly,
Yes I know the loft is being ignored somewhat so I am sorry but I will get up there at some stage its great you have your camera back will wait to see what you film. Cheers for watching and your very nice comments and I hope your visit to the hospital goes well and hopefully I will get my appointment soon so I can go also. Another video on Friday showing how the bridge build went hope you will watch.
      Cheers Robert.

Hi Robert enjoying your new build, Im about to extend my layout and guess I will encounter some issues. Recently you purchased a Dremel which model did you get and are you happy with it. A further question I'm toying going down the iTrain track my layout is smaller than yours, are you still happy you went down that route? Hope the medical things work out. Dallas.

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  2 місяці тому

      Hi Dallas,
Thanks very much for watching and your very nice comments and in answer to your questions yes I am happy I went the iTrains route but don't underestimate the amount of work needed to get it to work and my layout is not ideal to get this to work as well as it could but when it does its magic and I bought the model 3000 Dremel which is mains operated but if you get it also buy more bits to go with it as not many supplyed with it if you buy the battery one then more supplyed but when I looked it was £120 as opposed to about £50 but I am happy with it and hope this helps and good luck with your layout extend. The next update tonight (Friday 10th) at 7pm.
      Cheers Robert.
