- How to change your air filter and spark plugs. Also, around 120-150k miles, your coil packs (or coil on plug modules) will start to go out one by one. This will cause a rough idle. This shows how to get at those too!

Incredible what it takes just to take out 8 spark plugs I'm so glad I have my new Tesla but I still love my old LS
This was helpful. I just wanted to get some idea of which tools I need to take home to change my spark plugs so I hopefully won’t be needing anything that I left at work and I can just get the job done the first day. Thanks for the video!
Good video, we'll explain keep up the videos of the Lincoln ls.
Great video nice ls!
Thank you kindly for your AweSome video!!!!
Great video! Thanks for convincing me to do this job and save lots of money!!!
I am not a mechanic and I was able to do this job by doing the research first.
I took my sweet time. I changed each spark plug and coil before moving on to the next.
I bought a 6'' 7MM ratchet wrench to get to the hard to reach bolts on the covers.
Since my Thunderbird is 19 years old and in great condition I opted for Motorcraft Coils and Denso Iridium Spark Plugs. I hope to keep the car for at least two more years. Since I bought the parts @t the I was able to opt for the more expensive parts. Rock Auto was much cheaper than the big name brick and mortar stores even with 20% off.
P.S. I would opt for a longer ratchet wrench for more leverage, with a swivel if you plan on doing this job. 8'' ratchet wrench maybe?
Yay. I have a misfire on cylinder 6 on the new LS I just bought. Already ordered new could and new plugs. I'm assuming because it's got 98,000 miles, they are still original and have never been changed.
Thanks for the helpful video. I am stuck on removing the last bolt from the driver side spark plug/coil cover. It is the lower-back one that is tucked in by the #8 cylinder and the brake master cylinder. Any suggestions on how to get it out? My small socket is being blocked by the big round chamber of the master cylinder/brake assembly. Thank you!
James I am in your same boat currently trying to remove that bottom bolt, Did you end up getting it removed? Im stuck
I was finally able to get a small 7mm wrench on it. The wrench I used had a ratchet type of closed end so I was able to remove it only an inch or two with each swing, it took a while but I finally got it out. *Upon re-installation I omitted that 8th bolt, just tightened the seven that I could get to without much effort.
I have 3 sensors that are bad but the crazy thing is I don't know anything about cars but oil change and tune ups so if you can please !!!! I have a 2003 Lincoln Ls what could be the problems.
And another suggestion tell people what size tools you are using
I just bought 02 Lincoln LS SUPERCHARGED Beast. Think coils could be going bad
Supercharged?
Great video but a lot of work can't wait to buy my first electric vehicle as it reduces the hassle that's so many components but I know it will add some other issues later on down the road
Is there a way I can get in contact with you for more info On the Lincoln Ls 2002
I'm having so much trouble with my driver's side back bolt omfg any tips!???
I got 05 07 cylinder misfires
Is that expensive to fix just bought the car 117000 miles
No offense but this video is ten minutes too long
Why is it you ONLY SHOW the EAZY SIDE, but NEVER SHOW THE DIFFICULT SIDE? I can figure out the EAZY STUFF, I want to know the problems you faced doing the DIFFICULT SIDE. Waste of my time.
