2000-02 Lincoln LS (& 00-02 Jaguar S-type) 3.0L V6 Spark Plug & Ignition Coil Replacement W/Details

- This will also work for the 2003-2005 Lincoln LS models, and 2000-2008 Jaguar S-type models, but KEEP IN MIND, that there were some changes made for the 2003 and newer models, so it will be similar, but not exactly the same. The Jaguar S-type is a similar job as it shares the same engine, but not exactly the same as the Lincoln LS, so keep this in mind.
Another thing to keep in mind: The cylinder numbers at 0:42 may not be the same on the newer 2003+ models.
Ignition Coil part numbers:
-2W4Z-12029-AC
-DG528
For this job, you will have to remove the intake manifold/plenum.
Tools needed:
-Several extensions
-8mm normal & deep socket
10mm normal & deep socket
-11mm normal & deep socket
-13mm normal socket
Needle nose pliers would help
Flat head screw driver (or whatever you need to remove the hose clamps)

Your video has been very helpful to me! I thank you for this !:-)!! I am at the point now where I am ready to disconnect the EGR. You don't show this very well. But, you Do make a big deal about the fragile pipe? I have done everything just the way it was in your video so far. Do I Just take the 2 bolts out & support it to the side? Or do I undo the pipe from the EGR first & then remove it? Please confirm. You make no mention of the 18mm or so nut on the pipe itself?
that is a lot of work to change them, I guess if you have to do 1, just do them all.

Can you put a Lincoln ls transmission in a jaguar s type?
To my knowledge, yes the 2000-2001 Transmission in the Lincoln LS 3.0L is exactly the same as the transmission in the 1999-2001 Jaguar S type 3.0L (Transmission code is 5R55N). I believe the only difference is the transmission shift lever which can be swapped over.
The 2002 models have 5R55S transmission, and I am unsure if that will work with the 99-01 models.

That's correct. It doesn't have to be removed. I forgot to mention that in the video. It just allows for more working room and definitely more room for camera footage.
