Patricia is just as much at fault.... Those girls were about to be free and she dragged them back. She served them to that monster on a silver platter. Reprehensible. She needs jail time too.
Agreed! It bothered me watching her stand up to him during her testimony. She didn’t stand up for them when they were alive!
Absolutely insane. No accountability on her part. Her big show and dance about brainwashing their son? Hey, domestic violence is messy and absolutely destroys families, obviously... But the daughter wrote it best-- "My mother, sister and I have been RUNNING for our LIVES from our father. I'm worried my mom is just going to bring us back AGAIN. And he'll kill us.." Then that's exactly what happens. And she wants to say "You know what? I should have *never* brought those girls back to The Devil.."
Uh, yea. That's what both your daughters were pleading w/ you not to do over and over until The Devil finally killed them like he promised he would.. I don't care about her motivations. Whether she was complicit in understanding she'd bring her daughters back *to be abused.* Or whether it was because she's so desperate because she's always looked like a pig. At the very least it was *extreme* negligence. Criminal negligence.
I could not agree more. I believe she was an active accessory.
Not trying to defend her but maybe she was so twisted and broken by him that she didn't even fully understand what she might have been doing. Like almost acting on a survival mode/instinct
Totally agree with you. Her little speech in court was infuriating! You LET HIM do that to your daughters, you delivered them to him 😤
How ironic for a child rapist to deem someone else to be dishonorable
Something about a Prophet... something about a child bride....

The thought never crossed her mind to save her girls and get a job to support them and herself. she should be in jail as well terrible horrible trifling broad and I'm very sure she continued to see her killer hubby while he was on the run

@@jayjohn9680 Exactly
Amina's boyfriend's mother was more of a mother to Amina than her own mother. Her own mother did not protect her daughters and wept more about Yaser's infidelity than the daughters being executed.
Trauma bond
Ok internet detective
I kept on crying to see Josephs mom feeling overwhelmed at the case. I think that is a real moms love. And it is heartbreaking to see that she is weeping for her sons loss. Like a real mom would. You are right.
Exactly, I'm thankful that there was at least one person close to those girls who actually cared about them.
Yaser thinking Americans are "bad people" is pretty hypocritical, especially with what he did to his family and murdering his own daughters.
yet they all still wanna move here
And he still thinks he did the right thing that psycho
He married and had kids with an American and then murdered his kids for dating an American? Hypocritical
5,000 women are killed each year in honor killing by the religion of peace. That's not counting countries that don't report it like Syria, Iraq, Iran, Central Asia, Chechnya, African nations.
Don’t forget he murdered a man back in Egypt
I think Patricia should be criminally charged, if she's not. Complacency, idly standing by while your daughters are abused makes her a coward and no better than her husband.
It wasn't even just that she was idly standing by, but she actively prevented these girls from getting help and is directly responsible for driving them to their deaths. I don't care that she was abused- Patricia is a monster.
I'd also call her an accomplice for bringing her back to that monster, knowing fully well that he threatened to kill those girls numerous times.
Yeah it’s amazing she’s now calling him out and saying the son was brainwashed. What about you mom?!
This is not even standing idly by, this is cooperation. If she did nothing then they WOULD be free, but she actively brought them back in. Genuinely such a sick case.
I get that people are disgusted by her behavior. But you have to understand. He met the mom when she was 14. You could see how tyrannical and obsessive he was to control women. He had brainwashed and instilled fear in that woman since she was a child.
I have worked with kids of abuse (physically and sexually) and the emotions they feel are incredibly complex. Plenty develop a strange fear yet attachment to the abuser.
You also have to understand that due to his extreme abuse and the age he met her, developmentally she was screwed. Trauma and brainwashing like that causes people to remain essentially young minded and immature with poor insight and judgment.
Meaning she was never allowed to be an independent adult. So although she had “chances to run away” this woman did not know how to live without her husband.
Typically an abused woman leaves their spouse 8 times on average before doing so permanently. Meaning they go back to 7 times.
So this woman was a victim of child abuse and domestic abuse by the SAME person. This cemented himself within her mind as a powerful tyrant she could not escape.
Is this an excuse for her behavior? Absolutely not. But there is a difference between a reason and an excuse. We can acknowledge that the mom was both a victim and an unwilling accomplice who likely still deserves consequences. The world is full of grey - you can be both. This man was a monster who instilled an irrational fear to everyone in his family.
I think it was bc the girls could not be as isolated as the mom was when she was a kid that they were able to see a life without the dad. Unlike the mom, they had boyfriends who showed them what love was. And that likely made a huge difference.
If you didn't want your daughters to date Americans, then WHY DID YOU MOVE THEM TO AMERICA. I'm angry at so many people involved in this.
They were born in America, to an American mother. They were American. Dad was Egyptian.
He was clearly in to his daughters and was jealous
Why did he marry an American woman? Was he shamed by his own "betrayal" of Islam and thought he could regain his honour this way? Was it about selling his way back into Egypt after feeling disillusioned by America?
@@einienj3281 The mother was just a breedig machine, nothing more. Happens a lot in some cultures.
He also married an American
So many adults in Sara and Aminas lives failed these girls.
Patricia failed her because she had the chance to leave and the mad would have been arrested and probably deported
There was something about her telling the operator, "I'm dying, that's what's up'
There was a hint of sarcasm, and its as if she had accepted and known her fate already.
I had to rewind that part, like she knew this was coming and there wasn't anything she could do about it.
Well said !
that's what I was thinking as well, she definitely knew what her fate was
This man makes me mad we have similar skin complexions he’s not even human.
@@eashanahluwalia9599 the cold comfort is that he will rot in prison
I stopped feeling sorry for the mother very quickly and my mind will not change. She gets to live while the two people she was supposed to protect are dead. Dispicable. And THEN she moves in with a man who said her daughters deserved it. Wtaf.
And that speech she had the gall to give at the end. SHE deserves everything HE got. They would be alive if not for her.
Same! Made them feel safe while hiding .yet betraying them at the same time by keeping in contact. I think she delivered them up just so he wouldn't kill her 🤬
Then ..to beat it all ..kept in contact *after* he murdered their daughters ..
It's all so unbelievably disgusting!
I think this is a case where she is both a victim (getting married to a middle aged man at 14), as well as a monster
It’s crazy to me that they can’t press charges on her for aiding a criminal, because that’s what she did when she handed her daughters to their abusive father
Tbh i feel like it's not that easy either. She got married way to young too, i think she didn't know any better than being a victim thats why she always came back to him. Her parents failed her just as much as she would later fail her own children.
While the wife was groomed and had reason to be afraid, but she was complicit through and through . She constantly put her husband first before her children.
Something inherently messed up about her behaviour, to marry a man like this. She seemed to think herself an honourable muslim woman, was that why was she so determined to please him?

I'm so glad too. I was waiting all these years for the news. He should not get away with it.
The more I hear about this story, the angrier I feel.
Not just because of how horrible Yasser Abdel Said was to his daughters but also with his son, Islam, who was so sp brainwashed by his father that he did nothing to save his sisters and enabled his awful actions and thus, stabbed his sisters in the back and like his dad, is now rotting in jail for beimg a horrible brother.
I hope the girls' half-sister is doing okay as I'm glad she survived despite having a horrible man as her father.
I've seen a lot of these honor killing stories, and this is the one that makes me the angriest omg. That 9/11 call is one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever heard
Patricia is also to blame, as Dire said it seemed that she cared more about Yaser than her daughters, which inevitably costed their lives.
I have a feeling that thanks to how she was a useless puppet for Yasser's actions, her family disowned her@@jonathanpenado5342

Aside from Sarah and Amina, I feel a lot of sympathy for Joseph (Amina's boyfriend. ) I've seen this case covered on other shows, and whenever Joseph talks about Amina, you can tell that he still loves her and was planning a whole life with her. His mother even called Amina the love of his life.He even blamed himself for her death and not being there to protect her. I really hope he's found peace since then ❤ RIP to Amina and Sarah ❤

Yeah, Joseph sounds like a good person. He was so young, but he showed a lot of bravery and maturity while dealing with the situation. You can tell that he really loved her :(
This arranged marriage bullcrap makes me sick, well over 20 years ago there was an arranged marriage panic in my country. The teen daughter's of arab refugee's was so afraid of the arranged martiage that a mere vacation trip to the old country was enough to cause a panic attack!

It sure is rich for Patricia to be up on the stand and pretend to give a shit, while being a monster to those children for years and being completely complicit in all of the crimes.

This is my opinion and experience, so not in general!
Me and my sisters were adopted in the 70s. My youngest sister's mother 'had an accident in the kitchen' (read: she was murdered) because she couldn't get sons, only daughters. My second sister was saved from drowning because her dad wanted only sons. Believe me, these honor murders are 100% real. In the extremist belief, the males are the real values of a family. The women have nothing to say. If they go against the rules, they die.
Yes extremism is real and honor murders. So sad
In high school I knew a very pretty Egyptian girl and her and I would flirt a ton. Unfortunately her dad was the same way in some regard. One time I saw her at a local store and she was with her father. I tried saying hi but she immediately gave me a look that said "no! Pretend like you dont know me!" She had true fear in her eyes. Later at school she told me that her dad could NEVER find out that shes talking to a white american boy. Absolutely sad, for her safety I gave up any advancement with her 😕
Those poor girls. It’s so unfair how they were failed by the adults in their lives and didn’t get to experience freedom from such awful abuse.
That Patricia, at age 14-15, dated not only Yaser, but his brother before him... her family utterly failed her. That said, she had a duty to protect her daughters, and she brought them back to him knowing that he would likely seriously harm them. I get that the cycle of abuse can really warp a person's mind, but if there was any time for her motherly instincts to kick in and for her to be brave for her daughters' sake, this was it.

This case was a real mind F and tragedy, and it's stuck with me ever since I first heard about it. The 911 call by one of the daughters as she's in her final moments is beyond heartbreaking. Thanks, Mr. Trip!
This is truly disheartening. Every child deserves a parent, but not everyone deserves a child.
This case will always hurt me. The brutality of their killing, their ignored pleads, that disgusting POS of a "mother," and the monster called "dad.' I'm not a mother, but I will always care and think about those girls. They are more loved by the public than their family ever did 😪
That woman is an awful mother. She should be in prison as well
I am so glad that this POS has been captured. As a Texas resident, the news stations covered this tragedy for months as reported details of this tragedy as details emerged. Yasars felt betrayed as he realized he could not FORCE his daughters into marrying Egyptian men, aged late ‘50s to early ‘80’s, which he deemed that death was the only solution for the betrayal of Sarah and Amina. EVERY adult that had knowledge, proof and interaction as to the years of pure hell that Sarah and Amina suffered, ALL have BLOOD on their hands!!! And I agree with everyone that Patricia and their Mother, and brother were ALL complicit which lead to the deaths of poor Amina and Sarah!!
There's something about this case that makes my blood boil from the father being the second coming of the devil to the betrayal from the brother, to how dense the mother was
The mother is not shuffling a full deck.
I get no family is perfect, but damn they make mines feel perfect.
I get that the mother was groomed and abused too but what I can never understand is that she knowingly brought them back to their "father". She knew what would happen and did exactly what the girls begged her NOT to do.
It made me feel sick to hear her speaking about the girls.. She could and should have done something to prevent their death. If she wanted so bad to go back to that pos she should have gone on her own and leave the girls live their lives.
I'm glad they found that demon of a man. Hope he rots in jail and gets what he deserves.
You should watch the movie "Brimstone" with Dakota Fanning. It's very similar to this story.
H*tes America but moved to America, lived in America and married an American. Odd
I was so young when I first heard about this case. I was so happy when I found out he was finally arrested that I almost cried, that joy was taken when I learned Patricia is not also being held accountable. Abused or not, a mother should protect her kids. She failed. As far as I’m concerned, she may well have pulled the trigger herself. She has no right to say her husband ‘took’ her daughter’s away from her, she GAVE them to him.
Unfortunately for a lot of Egyptian Arab Muslims, this scenario is all too common. At least the way he killed his daughters is far less savage vs how they do honor killings over there. Absolutely infuriating

This is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard, I followed it for a while and still hurts to see the hate someone could inflict.
Their mother essentially sealed their death sentence
What's the point of moving to America if you don't want your children to interact with the culture or people???
That so called mother needs to rot in jail for all she did to help him kill those girls 💯👍🇬🇧🤬😞
Imagine having a creep for a father and a failure of a mother as parents! How disgusting do you have to be to prey on your daughters and hate the people they date? How lowdown do you have to be to not stop your husband from hurting your daughters!! Make it make sense!
he probably took the photos to show to those men in egypt who seemes interested... Basically trying to sell of his daughter, who was quiet pretty for a good price... my god 10:01
Oh jfc this case was so much more messed up than "he killed his daughters". My god.. great work as always Trip, thx for putting this vid together and doing it such justice.
Patricia is such an odd figure in this case. I try to have empathy for her, considering Yaser started abusing her at 14. Abuse was basically all she ever knew. Of course a person in that scenario would so brainwashed that defying him would be like disobeying God. At the same time, this is such a vile crime. It's hard to fathom how even a parent could be SO complicit in their daughter's murder... Highly doubt she had zero clue as to where Yaser was all these years, or if she'd be chastising him so hard if he'd been found not-guilty somehow.
Patricia NEEDS TO BE JAIL! SHE IS JUST AS GULITY.
Patricia is Neglected and FAILED TO PROTECT HER DAUGHTERS FROM THE EVIL MONSTER. Definitely Not a Mother! 🤢🤮😡
Prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 FOR PATRICIA TO GO TO JAIL.
This woman murdered her daughters just as surely as their father did...😢
This so called mother deserved to be arrested too , she known the rape and everything and still communicate with him and dragged them back to him such nasty as women
Incredible that one officer delayed their retirement to stay on this case... My father was a police Sergent as well and I have respect for that officer. My Dad couldn't WAIT to retire...lol and had 30 yrs of it before he passed away.
Im so sorry to hear to hear that about your father
Patricia is one of the worst mothers i have seen so far. Not only did she take the stand and act like she gave a shit about her kids, she called yaseer ‘a devil’ when she also willingly took her girls back even after KNOWING he abused them.
Let's not forget the brother. Though as American as his sisters, he had not a modicum of compassion nor respect for them, and probably his mother as well.
This story is completely messed up from the beginning to the end. Those girls had no one. Even their brother was against them.
This man is a monster. A pe#o in my eyes 🤬 I remember the original story and it angered me so much 🤨 I was frustrated at their mother too 😕
I'm very happy that they have now caught him.
Yeah, all of this is actually super common in this religion.
how would you know? are you from a muslim background?
@@helloisitmeurlookingfor5898
You don't really need to be from this background.
To acknowledge, this religion has some deeply upsetting expectations from the men.
@@thereseemstobeenanerror1219 lol "expectations" do you mean what a country or nation expects? Because islam is just a text, people are the ones who create and impose these unnecessary expectations.
@@helloisitmeurlookingfor5898 i think it is known widely..ISIS
True 😳🤦🏿♂️
You’re becoming one of my favourite channels…. Thanks!
Letting your 16-year old daughter marry a 30 year old Islamist is the worst decision you can make as a parent.
That woman is not a mother. She's an accomplice to murder.
Their mother on the stand infuriates me more than anything because she was the reason her daughters were murdered. How hypocritical of her to act like a grieving mother after putting all her children at the mercy of a lunatic.
SHE CHOSE A MONSTER instead of being a mother and protecting her children she is a breeder
How they lit these sort of people into the country's beyond me
"Don't even smile too much--not only at men, but in general: it can be taken as flirtation and, therefore, you are a loose woman."
The ones who think she's flirting are outing themselves for the sociopaths they are... though if you still use terms like "loose woman" i'm guessing you're a sociopath-for-religion.
Why did the 911 operator transfer her to the fire department? No questions, just transferred.... What the hell?
I was wondering the same thing!
Thanks for the upload, Kyle!
when authorities fail to help abused children, they learn very quickly that authorities will not or cannot help them with abuse, so they stop trying. if your reports to police/CPS come to nothing but you have good reason to think a child is being abused you need to be persistent as hell. gather as much evidence as you can, take pictures and videos of injuries
Patricia is just as complicit in this as his relatives. She drove them back to be murdered, and she knew it.
this case has HAUNTED me since i first learned about it around the time it was all going down. the case being so horrific on its own was enough, but it was the fact this monster was able to get away. just disappeared. i remember people theorizing he took his own life afterwards but it wasn't justice to me. that's the coward way out in this context. seeing the girls' faces in the thumbnail and the ... after "And Now He's", i was initially afraid it would be the same information as last, but clicking it and seeing "And Now He's Caught", i couldn't help but cry in joy.
He ran over his coworker and they decided, "This man belongs in the United States."
he moved his family to America then got when when they dated and talked to Americans??
The girls were American born, to an American mother.
@@einienj3281 yeah but the father thought that if they lived in America they wouldn’t meet American men? Even the first time I seen this case I still find it really difficult to wrap my head around it
@@einienj3281 I know. Iv seen the case.
Had no idea he was caught, so happy to hear
Hated Americans but chose to live there? What kind of logic is that? Here in Australia we have a slogan that’s often used by racists: love it or leave.
Used by racists?! 😮
Motherly instincts are developed, not innate. Patricia clearly wasn’t fit to be a mother but was forced into the role. With cycles of repeated abuse, waking up fearing for your life everyday, it’s not wonder she’d be a terrible mother, she doesn’t know better. She needs mental help, not prison. I swear it’s like people forget what fear is. People can be manipulated into doing horrible things when they’re afraid enough. Patricia and her daughters shouldn’t have been in that situation in the first place.
I learned about this case as a teenager. I never thought I’d see the sisters get justice. Their 911 call was heartbreaking. I hope they are at peace.
The mother deserves jail time and no protection while in jail
