Chicken vs egg, which came first. Most loney single men started life as caring empathetic gentlemen with a positive attitude. It's only after years of isolation, social atomization, and brutal rejections that men lose hope and start slowly becoming the villains of their own story. The child that's rejected by the tribe will burn it down to feel it's warmth.

I still watch all of your videos and am glad to see you in the podcasts as well (I am a huge fan of Broogli too ^^). I said I wanted to support your patreon soon but unfortunately things didn’t go the way I hoped and I felt “ashamed” to even comment anything because I felt I was breaking a promise I made to myself, to support my favorite creators and use this as motivation to rebuild myself.
It’s been a few months and I finally made progress! I got approved to get a disability card and won’t have to bear with any more medical expenses and, most importantly, am now eligible for jobs designated for disabled people so I can finally work in an environment that’s safe and stable!
The official disability book is estimated to come out in 3 months but they gave me a temporary one and the people at Hello Work (public employment agency) said that I am already eligible to apply for those jobs :)
This week I will be going to the agency and hopefully will land a job soon. Still takes some time to get a full paycheck, but once I do, I will happily become a patron, not because you need my (initially) very tiny contribution, but because your wonderful content deserves it, your kind and unproblematic personality deserves it and because you were one of the people who helped me rebuild myself.

It was supposed to be a fourm site where people like that could realized theyre not alone in their struggles and possibly change their perspective on the issues they face getting to a relationship like that. Honestly, I relate to this guy somewhat. Not the whole insane obsession with inceldom, but the nihilistic depression, the loneliness, there's more then just the sexual aspect. It's an aimless thing. A way of seeing what is sold to you as the idealized life that you're supposed to go through, and feeling like you're missing out on it, like you were not only too late, but can't rewind time to go back on the path. Hell, I'm 18, still young, literally entering life, but a mixture of covid and slacking off has functionally left me with no friends to note, stuck online. It's a horrible feeling. Obviously empathy can only extend so far, and you can empathize with the person in the moment before they truly fall off the deep-end, (like a criminal who was assaulted during their youth), but once they reach a certain period, where they have full agency over their actions, and they choose evil, then they deserve whatever comes to them. Life in prison, etc.

I think a lot of people don't realize (or maybe they're too far in it) that these are normal feelings everyone has to some degree. I'm not saying this to lessen or devalue what you and others feel, just saying it so you know you're not alone. Everyone feels lonely or regretful or wishes they'd done things differently. Everyone wonders what their purpose in life is and feels like they're doing it wrong or not doing enough. Most people feel like they were promised that if they did x y and z, they'd have life figured out and get all they want. And they don't realize that most of us are figuring it out as we go along. And yeah, a lot of that sucks, but it does get better. Ultimately, we all choose what to do with those feelings and how to react. Sometimes it gets better with time, sometimes it gets better with your own actions, sometimes both. But like most things in life, if you put in a little bit of effort, are kind, and your heart's in the right place, things have a way of working out (and you can only really see that with time and perspective).
You're young and you can and will make more friends, I promise. :) You can make friends through the internet and through work, school, religion, volunteering, hobbies, vacation, etc. Just figure out what you like doing, and you'll make friends that way. Or you can reach out to old friends or acquaintances and try to hang out and get to know them better. Most people are actually really happy to hear from other folks who seem interested in them and their lives as long as there wasn't some catastrophic falling out. Best wishes!

I'm really surprised on some levels to read this, since I just from some comments from you above, and they were eloquent, intelligent, sensitive, and displayed a great deal of maturity and potential. You clearly have a bright mind! So I was really surprised to read that you're only 18.
Which is a really, really good thing! As someone now in her early 40s, I'd like to share a classic song from my era: 'Baz Luhrman's Sunscreen'. Was a big hit when I was a little younger than you, and over the decades, the wiseness of the words only resonate with truth even more so. It's so normal for many people in your age range of every generation to go through these periods, especially when first entering adulthood. A lot of pressure to "choose your best subjects, choose your career path, maximise you potential, NOW NOW NOW!" and that was even the case long before social media or covid were considerations. Which are going to be a huge impact on the generations like yours that have been hit the hardest by the world locking down during crucial years in your life.
But that time is not lost, it's not too late, and never is! Find and do things that interest you, and find the people you feel safe and comfortable with -build human connections slowly and with shared interests, without isolating yourself to a specific 'tribe', especially not on a curated and automated Internet that creates echo chambers. Travel and education both broaden the mind, and neither have to be formal nor expensive. If you're willing to learn new things, and extend your comfort zones, and show genuine connection to and interest in other people (as people, and not as goals or with a purpose for them in mind), and you'll always find some good things in life, even when you go through the inevitable bad things too.

I don't think that's entirely fair the entire assessment, though you're right. Many of them are man children. They've spent much of their lives online, not going through the experiences that would typically signal and teach maturity, milestones, responsibilities, etcetera. They live at home, don't have jobs, and are chronically online. Not all Incels are necessarily misogynists, though the stereotype exists for a reason, and many have their general loneliness and desperation turn to outright bitterness and disdain for the opposite sex they see as having 'rejected' them. The lack of empathy could come from a lack of experience. Many don't have any interaction with women, despite obsessing over them. They only see rage bait of 'bad women', or hyper-sexualization of them, and the echo chambers they create solely render complaints on a shared male perspective, where they are the 'down-trodden, oppressed sex that is ignored and ostracized'. Though this isn't all Incels necessarily. Some are more self aware then others. Some just really hate themselves more then they would hate women. A lot of these people, if they actually were able to (and many can), get on the track of life, assume responsibilities of a job, hobby, schedule, grooming (hygiene), and a strong support group of (platonic) friends, that are healthy and arent spouting harmful rhetoric, a lot of that immaturity could likely be fixed in some way.
A lot of Inceldom doesn't necessarily stem from virginity, but from loneliness. These people don't always have friends outside of the online spaces. Meaning their only observation of reality, is the false reality they see online, where everything is tribalistic, toxic, and extreme. Rarely do they have an actual, realistic view of women, or even other men, instead a more delusional, internet-fused and nihilistic outlook that paints the world in an ultimately harsher light then it really is.

I see that a lot in normal people as well. But it's a lot different with them because they have things to do besides that. Family and responsibilities etc. It's a lot different when all you gotta do is work and come home. Hang out with people sometimes. Lather rinse repeat. It gets lonely and boring after awhile. Because honestly the basement dweller stereotype is largely a myth. Not entirely. Those types do exist. But a lot of these incel dudes, the majority probably, are regular people with regular jobs living regular lives. They got friends and family. I think a lot of people have this subconscious notion that they're some weird separate society of CHUD's that lives among us in secret like the wizards in Harry Potter. It's just nowadays with the onset of social media, we not only have greater access to these stories, but those people in horrible mindsets do to, *and* it builds an echo chamber that encourages radicalization, and hatred against the others. It's a really dangerous form of tribalism that didn't really exist in the 70s and 80s, where if you were a loser, you were likely to nbe friends with other losers who were, mostly, more normal, had some sort of hobby, and interacted with the outside world. Nowadays, many of these people are chronically online, with no real friends outside of toxic internet circles.

What boggles my mind is that most of the incels feel like they are owed a woman! Plus the women they think they’re owed look like swimsuit models. I’m sure there are women out there that feel the same way. You have to attract someone with a good personality, looks, money, a car, your juggling skills OR WHATEVER the other person is attracted to. I myself am a personality person. I don’t care what you look like, or own. If you have a great personality and are funny that hits the spot! In this day and age there are so many shallow people and I get what a lot of the guys complain about. How nothing is good enough for these women, so on and so on. But going on to a site and complaining to chicks about how they suck, isn’t going to get you anywhere. I had to go hug my kid after.. I always thought it was sad when a child had something like this happen to them but now it uterly rips me apart. The innocence of a child walking with her dad and a teddy bear and the thought of what probably went thru her dad’s mind when he tried to shield her… no wonder parents have become so overprotective in the last 20 years.. it’s so scary to imagine something so random happening to you and your child… 😢

@@lenas6246doesn't matter your age-people can get caught up in echo chambers and negative beliefs and get radicalized, because they isolate themselves from others and don't have anyone around to bring them back to reality. It's an internet/social media problem, this happens to people of all ages who have something going on in their lives and turn to the internet, spiraling deeper until something snaps. I mean, this obviously doesn't happen to most people, but the pattern of behavior is something that shows up again and again in these cases. As far as I know, there is no real and effective intervention or rehab as he suggested to help people de-radicalize, so it's still a problem that needs addressing.
Additionally, even if his mom supported him the best she could, the right kind of support is needed for progress to be made. If he had support that got through to him, things may have been different. We will never know.
Context and understanding the contributing factors that led to this always matter. It's not an excuse by any means, but a way to hopeful find a way to combat this in the future, when people start down that path, before it gets too late.

If you don’t reside in the UK, you won’t ever understand how absolutely abhorrent our mental health services are. It’s the most underfunded sector on the NHS. I have no doubt in my mind his mother was terrified of him, & likely terrified of his father too, so couldn’t ask for help from him either when he got into adult years, especially when he launched attacks on his Dad any time he visited (& I highly doubt that terribly awful last fatal attack on his mum for was his first attack on her). I can’t begin to imagine how much help she’d tried to get him over the years, it’s like repeatedly banging your head against a brick wall, but on the flip side she knew if she’d kicked him out.. she couldn’t keep an eye on him (not that she should’ve, but I’m presuming that was her thought process). As for the accusation of her taking his PIP benefit - I HIGHLY doubt he paid rent, paid for his food, contributed to household bills etc, so his benefit went towards his keep! That’s exactly how he could afford all of that gym equipment, steroids, supplements, new computer and everything else.
As for giving him a gun licence .. that should tell you how woefully ignorant and scarily under trained police officers can be to allow something like that to even pass. Those poor victims..& his poor mum, who must’ve been terrified in those final moments.

I don't understand this, still. I'm autistic as well, and I have a physical disorder where I can't grow muscle, and yet I've never called myself an incel nor wanted to go on a rampage. I've been insulted a lot; called a parasite and unequal for being a guy on disability income, and I know I don't deserve that, but those are just bad individuals. Not everyone has to like everyone, and just because I got dealt a bad hand doesn't mean that people have to accept it. I'm not entitled to anyone. I hope some day I can find someone who accepts me for me, but at the end of the day, that means making myself out to be the best I can be. I have things I want in a partner (and don't want) as well, and that's just how we as humans are. If you want a partner with x y and z traits, then you've gotta be able to make yourself someone said partner would consider being with. I get that being disabled, it can be hard to, but being an incel doesn't help anyone, including yourself. At the end of the day, while I do wonder if I'll ever find someone special, if not, at least I have my wonderful friends and family I'm grateful for. Remember to get outside, get some sunshine and sunlight on your skin. It does wonders.
I will say that the world is unfair to disabled guys and there's a lot of stereotypes that still exist... But the world isn't fair to begin with. You work with what you've got and make the best of it that you can.

Y’know as a person with depression I can actually relate to a lot of his views about life, about feeling beaten down, defeated, hopeless, that stuff is too hard. To me that is the most relatable aspect to this guy.
Where I completely diverge from his point of view is his extreme bitterness towards others whom he feels are far more successful than he is. I think it’s very important to remember that there’s a lot of people in the world and some have it better, some have it worse and we can’t hold it against others that their lives are better than our own. I would see no reason to take out my disappointments with my own life on others, which means my main challenge is a sense of self worth and self esteem, something I can relate to struggling with, not hating others and feeling so bitter towards them, which I think is irrational and very short sighted. Also obviously if you become filled with hate due to blaming the world for your problems, you are a lot more likely to be liked even less by others and become even more lonely.
Edit - oh yeah and also that it looks like he was a pedo

I'm actually putting together this exact story to upload on my page as I write this. Well, it's good to see others shed light on this twisted tragedy. RIP to the victims and their family. 🕊️

What makes this entire saga especially sad is everyone seems content to simply demonize 'incels' instead of asking why such a thing exists in the first place.
Very few people want to address root causes because it doesn't fit their preconceptions. They'd rather use this as a catalyst to further their agenda.

Alot of people are offering incels solutions but they don't want to be helped ,,the only one who can help yourself is you,,other people have their own issues to solve

@@tfkdandsvkcExactly. I see ppl offering them solutions but then they complain about why things will still never change for them. Despite offering solutions.
