I am a truckers wife and a empty nester. Both are lonely...i came across one of your videos and decided to try it. And thank God and you, that i did... i have never had a hobby. I am in love and now i am not miserable. This is the best life. I have even turned one one the spare rooms into my DP room.
I am all the above! Truckers wife, autoimmune compromised and an empty nester. I have crossed stitched for 34 years. I have bifocals now and a very difficult time seeing my stitches. I thought I’d try DP. I love it, so far. I’m on my first. I’m so glad I found Mrs. Crochet and Coffee.
Lmao dp room, sorry I had to. I love your channel, so many tips that I needed, also realised there's a.whole bunch of stuff that I didn't know that I needed to know!!! So thanks a lot!! 😊
Well said Ms Coffee. I just gave a diamond painting to a friend who is close to end of cancer and I was so overwhelmed with how much she loved it and appreciated all the time I took. It’s so enjoyable. I got this bug from my mom who I didn’t discover how much she diamond painted until she passed and I found several finished paintings. She’s with me every time I diamond paint. Love your channel. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I find diamond painting can really help me get other stuff done around the house that I don’t want to do. I’ll set my timer for 30-45 min and DP. When the timer goes off, I do one thing on my ‘to do’ list. When I’m done I set my timer again and DP. Sometimes that one thing might just be unloading the dishwasher and another it’s pay the bills. This is especially helpful if you’re feeling low and can’t seem to get yourself to do anything…using this trick I can feel like I actually accomplished something…extremely helpful in the self esteem arena. I’ve experienced the burnout and it freaked me out. What I do is to not go near my DP for 2 or 3 days, then I go back and sigh with happiness and relief. DP makes me so happy it’s just goofy…I’ll take goofy over depressed any day of the week! Much love to you Mrs. C. 💕💕💕
Thank you for explaining the benefits of both round and square drills. I was disappointed because the kit I ordered had round drills until you mentioned that round has more sparkle 😊
I haven’t DP in months! I also haven’t done any of the other crafts I was doing in months! When the warm weather hit, I spent so much more time out on my patio colouring and enjoying it and NOBODY has given me a hard time for it! If someone does then I will gladly tell them where to go and give them short cuts on how to get there that their head would spin! You get 1 life to live so enjoy as much of it as you can in the small amount of time you get! After you retire you can enjoy a little more time doing what you like! Who cares what the other guy thinks! Not me! Opinions are like assholes! Everybody’s got one! You stay outta mine and I’ll stay outta yours! Thank you for posting this! Stay beautiful and blessed and always friggin awesome! You rock lady! 💖🇨🇦🤗
I have been diamond painting for about 4 years. Lately I have been watching UA-cam videos from Ladies who are giving all kinds of tips and information about things I did not know. Great. I have learned so much. Your videos are among the best.
All your info was so helpful & a good refresher for me. The most helpful thing was when you talked about speed. For me I feel I'm kinda slow. It's takes me about 2 weeks to do a 30x40 but I do just when I want to. You made me feel better about myself altogether. I do it because I enjoy it & it definitely helps my depression. So not being as fast as some that DP... it's ok. Thank you so much for your time, info & channel. God Bless you ❤️
Ps... Mental health… You have touched a very important topic here that none of the other “I wish I knew” DP videos i have seen so far have covered! This is definitely a craft that can help with relieving mental stress for some. But, you are absolutely 100% right that we need to pay attention to not fall into a hole of burn out with DP. Having ADHD, I have a tendency to go all out and hyperfocus on something before I move on to the next thing. This encourages me to take a step back and know that I don’t have to complete it all NOW or get all the things NOW... It is meant to be enjoyed. It is a tool to help me relax. Not something to further add to my stress pile. 😘
I began Diamond painting after my husband died suddenly. I have always read, gardened, and done many different crafts, but the stress and grief has my brain jumping around like a deranged squirrel, and none of my normal mind calming activities work right now. In order to sleep my brain has to be exhausted. I have an entire farm to make decisions on alone, as well as non-stop financial decisions. I needed some way to calm my mind. I tried Diamond painting and it works. I handle outside chores, then Diamond paint a while. Doing the chores my husband did, going into the barns, and many other tasks overwhelm me. I can get them done, if I can calm my brain afterwards. If I go to bed and images of that traumatic morning flood my mind, I get up and Diamond paint for a while. It works.
Mrs. Coffee I started diamond painting about three years ago but didn’t discover you until about a year ago. I’ve learned SO MUCH from you!! I make much wiser decisions now because I know much more of what I need as opposed to want. THANK YOU!! 💕💕💕
I have all Painting originals which I'm so glad because I have a real stash of Painting!!! Thanks for telling us about originals! Plus everything else we need. Take care plus stay safe!
This was probably my favorite video of yours. So many points hit home. Especially burnout. We all know I stopped diamond painting for over a year. The bottom line is we all need to give ourselves grace with our crafts.
I am very new to DP. I absolutely loved this video. Mental health is so important in everything we do in live and it is nice to hear someone discuss it. 👍
Thanks for the video. I just started. The whole thing about the mental health - that's applies to every craft. I am a quilter and a cross stitcher, but thought I'd try a few of these.
About your last comment re: helping people new to diamond painting. When I started over a year ago I was completely lost so I turned to youtube and found your channel. Everything I know about DP I learned from Mrs Coffee! Your videos are so informative and they gave me a lot of confidence. Thank you! 🤩
I have to leave you a message to let ya know that this video helped me so much. I have only been diamond painting for about 2 months and I did not know any of this and I am so grateful that you made this video. Keep up the good work and I'm gonna keep watching your videos. I'm not really fast when I'm diamond painting but I love this craft so much.
I wish I'd known about dp burnout before it happened to me. It took me 4 years before i was able to start working on a dp again. Im so happy my burnout is gone ❤ i love this craft a lot!
Just came back to you. Thank you so much wisdom. I had burn out. Couldn't even look at my picture. Now with just getting to sit down and listening to you I feel so much more in tune with my hobby. Thank you for being you.
I love this. I love your message-“YOU DO YOU BOO!” I just started DP about a month ago and am obsessed! But I work two jobs and have other hobbies, so burnout I should be ok with. But I Love how you’re you just have to follow you! Thank you for this!
I love this video so much, thank you. I just purchased my first kit and I'm very excited to get it done. You made a great point on burnout because I make candles and I can say I have not made one in 2 years now because I burned myself out and don't feel it still.
Girl talking about having a comfy workspace…unfortunately I don’t have space to have one I have to do it on my couch with a board on my lap. And the time goes by so fast when you’re doing this.
My Psychiatrist is virtual also. We have CoVID over hear with no longer a mask. I homemade over 300 masks for the pandemic! If you are in need I will send some because I have a lot left.
I love your no 🐂💩approach and your integrity! Great video as always. I have DP playlists as well as a collection of WIP AND CHATS. thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge!
Awwwww! Came around to this video again in Patreon. This is the very first video of yours I ever saw. So glad I found you and thankful to consider you my friend. Thanks for all that you do! I can’t wait to see what’s next! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
It is so funny that even though I don't diamond paint..... I had never heard of it before until I started coloring last year and then I looked into it but I had already invested quite a bit of money and coloring but I sure do enjoy videos like yours Mrs Coffee! One of my favorite color tubers was in the process of life and wasn't making videos at the time and I stumbled upon your channel and I have never laughed so hard! True story!❤️🦋❤️💜🦋💜🦋
I have been diamond painting since last Fall. I get so much information from all of the UA-cam stations. You do a great job explaining everything about this craft. Thanks!
I'm about to start a HAED, 4.5 feet by 6 feet I love that you tell everyone they shouldn't feel bad for not being able to afford it. I felt burnt out too. So I'm trying to sell kits too. But now I'm back and trying a big one xD
Thanks for tackling 2 of the biggest problems with diamond painting or any other hobby really. Overbuying and burnout. When I first started a year ago I joined so many dp groups and found that the more I joined, the more $ I spent. It was like a race to the finish and whoever had the most toys won. I wanted everything but ended up with a bunch of paintings I didn't like or want. The destash groups are great and I "rehomed" several paintings Also burnout. Last winter I was going through a hard time and just had no desire to dp. So I basically stopped for several months and only started up again a month ago. I found the joy again. Like you said, sometime you have to just relax and trust the process. If the joy returns you have plenty of projects waiting, or else you can try something new. The great thing with hobbies is that the choices are endless!
Good stuff! I noticed that a lot of tubers lose their crafty mojo during the summer months. One thing I wish I learned when I started DP'ing was to washi tape around the drill area to prevent cat hair (and maybe some lint) from sticking onto the excess adhesive. 🐈
Hi Mrs Coffee. As a newbie, I feel like I'm painting at a snail's pace. It can take me an hour to finish a 2 inch by 2 inch square. It's taken me a month to get 75% of a 30cm X 40cm canvas done. However, I've been caring for my disabled husband for the past 12 years - as well as working part time and dealing with domestic duties. So what you said about diamond painting speed resonated with me. I have to remind myself that I have a lot on my plate and that I shouldn't worry about how fast or slow I'm going - as long as I'm enjoying it. I appreciate you pointing that out. 😃
I agree with a lot of what you said. Especially about the burn out. I’ve been struggling with this myself. I think part of the problem is the fact that I’m working on a 70 X 100 cm kit. I was getting the urge to crochet and knit. Finally I gave in and so far I’ve finished a scarf and knitted two hats in just two days. And I’m still taking brakes from diamond painting. But I do a little diamond painting every day. Just so I won’t get way behind. But today my arm hurts. From knitting. So I’m trying to take it easy.
Perfect timing for this video. I have done very little diamond painting in the last 2-3 months. I sit down maybe once a week and work on my current DP for an hr or so. Glad to know burn out didn’t just happen to me. I know I will go back to it like I used to, but don’t know when. I will just let it come to me. I have been feeling very bad because I am not doing it and trust me, I have the time, I am retired. I just got a new back pillow for my chair as well as a seat from Amazon. When I got both last week, I sat down to try them and worked on my DP for hrs. So hoping I will get my grove back soon. Thanks again for this video. I needed it. 💕
I really needed this today! I love your wisdom. You made me feel so much better . I took some time off because my job in healthcare has been so stressful and then felt bad taking time off diamond painting because I was slow on working on a canvas . Thank you love your channel! ❤
I actually write all my paintings in a log book once I get it in and record my opening. I counted how many I currently have and I knew it was a lot but dang! I have 64! Lol.
I decided to start dp because I have stage 3 incurable ovarian cancer, and am terminal. I need something desperately to keep my mind occupied and find some peace
This is awesome Mrs Coffee...even helpful to me, who has been DP since Nov 2019. You put things in such a kind way, and i think you’re a wonderful person. Sending you love and hugs. 🥰❤️🥰
Thank you for this content. Your down-to-earth speaking was lovely and sooooo not judgemental. Thank you. I will be referring back to this video, I'm sure.
Love your videos. I'm from Canada and I watch you all the time. One thing I found interesting is the fact that you can have burn out from a hobby. This happened to me last year when doing cross stitch. Had to put it down for almost a year. But eventually I got back at it. Now I had just got my first DP as a gift. It's a picture of a red truck and very anxious to get it started. Thank you for the tips on how to get it started.
Hi Mrs. Coffee! I really enjoyed this video - thank you for posting! I liked all the points you made, but the one that hit home for me vvas about stolen artvvork. I'm not nevv to dp and I knovv I made the rookie mistake of buying stolen images in my early days. I feel guilty about that, but your point made me realize I'm not alone - vve've all done it before vve knevv better. I'm much better at avoiding that mistake novv and I'm going to try to let go of that guilt. Thank you for posting!! You're avvesome!
Thanks so much alot of information i didn't know I am just now starting I've done purchased five painting I definitely agree it is addictive and I refuse the purchase anymore until I get one Finished🤣🤣
Mrs coffee I've loved watching this video and your amazing I love your channel and seeing all the reviews you do I've only started dp for 6 months now and I've learned so many tips.
Yes one day I will diamond paint again. For a long time I felt bad that i haven’t done in it in a long time. I know one of these days I loss my stitching bug. Then I will have my diamond paintings. 😍 thank you for saying this.
You're so right miss coffee I love this video and the way that you express your feelings about mental health that is a big deal around our area because it does not get talked about and I do this for the same thing to distress thank you People think it's not real but it is Because I used to paint I used to do Drury I don't do that anymore
I am late watching this one. But I have to say great video and great points! These are facts and points that I haven't seen anyone else mention. I have gotten the burn out. Glad I never sold my stuff. Also, I learned not to work on them too long. At one point I sat for hours and hours and caused a minor hand injury and had to reluctantly stay away from this hobby until I recovered. Now, I just do small sections in a sitting and walk away for the day.

I just started Diamond painting with no background or doing any research. Just was walking the aisles of Michael’s and saw a little mermaid and gave it a go. Well, now I’m obsessed and have completed 4 so far.
I am a truckers wife and a empty nester. Both are lonely...i came across one of your videos and decided to try it. And thank God and you, that i did... i have never had a hobby. That's awesome to hear!
I’m disabled and auto immune compromised. Been much isolated from Covid times. So Hi Cheryl!!!! Waving to ya!!!!!!!!! So you know you’re not alone 👋👋👋

Much love to you Mrs. C. 💕💕💕
Thank you for explaining the benefits of both round and square drills. I was disappointed because the kit I ordered had round drills until you mentioned that round has more sparkle 😊
Diamond painting has been my therapy too. It's been helping me through a loss and heavy, ongoing hits. I really appreciate all of these insights.
I haven’t DP in months! I also haven’t done any of the other crafts I was doing in months! I'm glad i found your channel. New to diamond painting. Im in the information phase.
So sorry for your loss ♥️
Mrs. Coffee I started diamond painting about three years ago but didn’t discover you until about a year ago. I’ve learned SO MUCH from you!! I make much wiser decisions now because I know much more of what I need as opposed to want. THANK YOU!! 💕💕💕
So happy to hear that.
I agree!
Same! Ella Leitzel is great too but no longer making videos. These channels help allot for sure!
Thank you so very much for this pep talk, I really needed to hear this.
I have all Painting originals which I'm so glad because I have a real stash of Painting!!! Thanks for telling us about originals! Plus everything else we need. Take care plus stay safe!
You are comforting to listen to. I appreciate how real you are & your heart. Thank you for being generous with your time ❤
This was probably my favorite video of yours. So many points hit home. Especially burnout. We all know I stopped diamond painting for over a year. The bottom line is we all need to give ourselves grace with our crafts.
That's exactly where I am now. Ppl don't often talk about the burnout side of crafting too much on 1 thing.
Thank you I have finished 4 diamond paintings and I still found this helpful
I love your take on this. I'm giggling over your commentary!😍
I am very new to DP. I absolutely loved this video. Mental health is so important in everything we do in live and it is nice to hear someone discuss it. 👍

I had burn out.
Couldn't even look at my picture.
Now with just getting to sit down and listening to you I feel so much more in tune with my hobby.
Thank you for being you.
Thanks for the tips - I've seen other channels tips, but especially the mental-health tips and destashing sites are great. Take care dear!
I love this. I love your message-“YOU DO YOU BOO!” I just started DP about a month ago and am obsessed! But I work two jobs and have other hobbies, so burnout I should be ok with. But I Love how you’re you just have to follow you! Thank you for this!
Good evening Mrs. Coffee Thank you so much for the video. Watched it agine
To give me some reminders and some tips. Have a good evening.💐❤️😊☕️

Thanks for the tip. I will now use my puzzle board on the couch. Didn't even think of that option. 😅
Wish I had this back a yr ago. Bought too many paintings. Thanks for all the help and support Mrs Coffee. You're the Best!!!

Thank you for the honest discussion of burnout. Well said.
"Life is too short to work on a boring project". Love this. #noguilt
I really appreciate you doing this video. I just received my first purchase, and now I feel like I have an advantage. Thank you so much!

I love that you tell everyone they shouldn't feel bad for not being able to afford it.
I felt burnt out too. So I'm trying to sell kits too. But now I'm back and trying a big one xD
This is a lovely list of tips and It includes several that I have not heard already so high five for you!

Random tip that's helped me is adjusting my chair height every once in a while so I'm not looking down at the same angle all the time.
Great tip
A very good video for people that diamond paint...enjoyed this so much...!❤
I agree with a lot of what you said. Especially about the burn out. I’ve been struggling with this myself. I think part of the problem is the fact that I’m working on a 70 X 100 cm kit. You're very welcome
Thank you! I was gifted a kit and wanted to watch a video before I started. I love your energy and delivery. :)
Aw Thanks 😊 Welcome to the Craft
@@MrsCoffee1 Thank you! I also knit and paint miniature figures- anything detailed, lol. I'm already planning the next one, of course.
Thank you! As a new diamond painter I appreciate your videos. Relevant content even two years later...🤗
That's some really good advice. I take my time because I don't want to burn out.
I have 64! Lol.
Love you and your videos… thank you for all of your videos
Your right and it’s so confusing at times… thank you for this
I decided to start dp because I have stage 3 incurable ovarian cancer, and am terminal. I need something desperately to keep my mind occupied and find some peace
Your in my prayers 🙏🏾 ❤️
And also this is the best video on this subject matter I have watched. Thank you for making it
This is awesome Mrs Coffee...even helpful to me, who has been DP since Nov 2019. You put things in such a kind way, and i think you’re a wonderful person. Sending you love and hugs. 🥰❤️🥰
Thank you for this content. Your down-to-earth speaking was lovely and sooooo not judgemental. Thank you. I will be referring back to this video, I'm sure.

Thank you. I take my time because I enjoy it.
Thank you for the tips. You inspired me to try square after watching one of your Wips. So great big thanks for that, as I loveee doing squares now.
Yay!
YES 100% agree with licensed artwork. I only ever buy from DAC - the quality is superb and their artwork is licensed.
im hooked it just took one time it was over i got over 100 paintings and storage containers
I love Ur honesty thank you for the support 💖
Thank you so much for the helpful info! I am newer to diamond painting and enjoy your videos🥰
Welcome to the craft. Glad this was helpful to you 😌
Hi Mrs.
Great video! Just started DP in December. All good to know.

You're Welcome
Great video! Truth in everything you said! Thanks for advise!🙂🙃😉
Thanks for doing this

I just started Diamond painting with no background or doing any research. Just was walking the aisles of Michael’s and saw a little mermaid and gave it a go. Well, now I’m obsessed and have completed 4 so far.
