I have found the best deal for the size is off of AliExpress. They have a great selection to choose from. Now to show the rate of inflation... I purchased a 70x50cm painting for $16.50 back in 2020. But I just looked it up again and now that same size is $35.62. 😳🤨 I guess they had better deals during the pandemic to keep business up and have now figured out the rest of the world will keep paying to get their crafting fixes.😆
I am new and what I did not know is if you are working on a project for too long, you get neck pain. Because I’m looking down for a long time. But I just space it out. It’s helpful when I’m stressed out too. And I’m weird 😂 but I like the clicking noise on your video. Its soothing. No drama, just peaceful.
Good tips especially for a newbie like me that didn't even know this form of art/hobby existed until 10 days ago..I haven't placed a single diamond on a canvas and yet i already have 6 kits plus trays, storage cabinets etc sitting on my desk 😂 But i sure know i will love this venture. Thank you much.
Hi Daphne, cool video. I think the sweetest part was where your husband was asking for a recording of the clicking noises :-) he can take it with him when he’s working away from home and fall asleep with your ASMR. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
I too love the clicking noise (from this video, I’ve never done a Diamond painting…yet!), not sure my husband would but then I’d not be working on one by him (my craft area is upstairs)…so as long as it didn’t bother the cats or my betta fish. 🐠 😂
Wow! You apparently put a lot of time & effort in making your list. It helped me stop & think about each point. We can all get caught up in the things we want, but if we hit pause, sometimes it will stop impulsive spending. When watching various videos & reading comments about diamond painting, it’s staggering the amount of money people have invested in the craft. Diamond painting can be addictive for those of us that love it. Then I’m reminded that gambling is also addictive. An addiction means balance has been lost. I don’t mean to be a downer, but keeping balance with anything that brings us joy is important. Ugh! Now I’ve depressed myself! Anyway, this was a valuable & thought provoking video so good on you! 🥰
It is easy to get caught up in the addiction, which is one of the reasons I wanted to do this video. Everyone’s situation is not the same, but being aware of potential issues goes a long way. Balance is definitely important! Thanks for watching!!
I just started doing this hobby and love it. First thing….I hate the pink wax and so 2 weeks ago i bought the micro glue dots. Then, I dislike the little green tray so ordered some new trays. What a game changer it has been. Loved this video as you gave me some really good things to consider. Thank you so much!
Hi Daphne, this is the first video I watched about diamond painting and I’m starting my first one today with a movie as a treat. I appreciate your tips and emphasis on doing what feels the most enjoyable. I’ve been a knit/crochet/embroidery crafter for a while, and its nice to start a new craft knowing how nice it is to ignore the trends/jnfluences and just do what is fun and feels inspired.
Excellent tips! I've been DP'ing since before the virus hit and I've learned pretty much the same things you have. I think I'm the only one on the DP planet that still uses baking paper sheets (aka parchment paper) instead of relief paper tho, lol! I buy it by the box on Amazon and they are just little 5.5 x 5.5 inch squares of baking sheets. They stick well to the canvas glue no matter which side you put down and they are highly reusuable (I also use them with my resin crafting). I bought a box of 500 sheets in 2019 for $15 - and I still have a lot! It's thinner than relief paper and you can kind of see through it.
@@amydavis4945 I used parchment paper when I first started - still have all the squares I cut up! I do like that you can see through it for taking pics, but my brain works better if I can’t see how much I have left to do! Thanks for watching!!
Thankfully, my eclectic taste in diamond paintings has kept me safe from FOMO. Also, i love huge paintings, so i only keep about two in my stash. I dont have a lot to spend, so i save up for my purchases.
Great tips. Thankfully my budget has always kept me out of the FOMO, I just don’t have the money to afford all the kits I want. I’ve had to be mindful about buying kits that I love.
This is an excellent episode!! I have been diamond painting for two years now and have bought all the things, have a stash, started with small unlicensed works, etc. I agree with ALL of 1-10!! This year I told myself I was going to complete my larger kits, even if I only complete 12 for the whole year. I am presently in 2 events and working on two separate large DAC paintings. I am enjoying the process so much. I certainly have enough of everything to keep going for several years! Thank you for all you do, I really enjoy your channel.
I wonder how different people would think about their stashes if they were totaled by hours to complete instead of number of kits? Thanks for watching!!
@ I made most of the mistakes buying things that do not work for me and drills going flying. My jumper sleeve/ dressing gown getting stuck to the edge but now I put washi tape around lol Xx
I agree with everything you said but would add one of my own. I just had no idea when I started how addicted I would become. I started DPing on the advice of my pain doc who suggested a hobby I could get lost in to help with pain management. I used to be an avid knitter/crocheter, but my arthritis made doing that much too painful. I stumbled upon diamond painting and soon found I was lost in "diamond meditation" for hours on end. So, while that is a good thing pain-wise for me, I find that it keeps me from other things that I should be doing or want to be doing. Had I known about the addictive nature of this craft would I have begun? Probably, but it would have been good to have that understanding before I began. I try to never miss one of your videos. I have enjoyed and learned from every single one I've watched. Thank you for adding to my DP experience!
I found your channel a few weeks ago and I have been binge watching videos! Even ones from 2022 and 2023 lol Your voice is very soothing and I just like your channel! ❤ Thank you for another video!
Thanks for making this video. I just started diamond painting in April 2023, and quickly became addicted to this hobby. The amount of time it takes for me to do a painting took me by surprise, so I started buying paintings without thinking about the time factor. FOMO also contributed to my buying a lot of paintings, so by the end of 2023 I had bought 74 paintings, but only completed 2 partials and one small painting. Last year was a big learning curve for me so now I am more careful about what I buy for accessories and paintings. 😃😃
I have never done a diamond painting but I wanted to try them so I am going to look into the two companies u listed cause I do want a good experience to see if I like it.
Hi Daphne, I'm 80 and have no Idea what FOMO means but there are many. things I wish I had know when I started Diamond Painting in March 2023. Check and double check how big the painting is, I have paintings that are so big it would take me years to complete but I love the image. It's so easy to buy things when the money is just a click of a button. Loved this video thanks for sharing your thought on this with us.
It is super easy to just buy without thinking. FOMO stands for fear of missing out. Those darn companies want you think that if you don’t get it now, it’s gone forever, which isn’t true for 90% of kits. Thanks for watching!!
You make some really good points, Daphne. Your comments about FOMO were spot on. Thank goodness I’ve only had FOMO once-About six years ago I had my eyes on a DP that I just had to have but I waited way too long to order it and by the time I wanted to actually buy it, it was sold out. I waited months for it to be restocked and it never was. I definitely had FOMO over this one! So I took the leap and reached out the company that made it and asked if it would be restocked. They let me know that even when an item is sold out and looks like it might not come back in stock again, they usually have a few on hand, put aside in their warehouse. They were nice enough to check into it for me and it turned out they actually had several of them still on hand and I was able to purchase it from them. I don’t know if all companies do this but if you have that special unicorn, like I did, I guess it can’t hurt to actually reach out to the company and ask if they have any on hand that you could purchase. My unicorn was called The Sorrowful Angel, and it’s now and always will be, my favorite dp.
Great video! A lot applies to me as well. I now put things on my wish list, and not very often do I purchase the minute it's released. I have had paintings restocked, and when I went to look at it again, i realized that I really didn't want it. Time works well for me to see if i really like it or not. As for perfect drills, I don't worry about it because people who do not diamond paint think my paintings are amazing! That, to me, is what matters!
I agree on steel tips, let’s not forget their steel straightener, which is always with me during DPing. I do a lot of rounds so I uses it for every section I finish. Great video!
OMG - the FOMO!!! Can’t agree more…and impressed you’ve managed yours. I’m better than I was but still have my “must be online at x time and refresh until the new arrival I need pops up” moments.
Honestly, there are weeks where I don’t even look to see what the new releases are anymore. I forget about them until the email pops up! Thanks for watching!!
This is the first video I’ve watched of yours, I have to admit I grinned from ear to ear when I heard your name. My granddaughter Daphne is 19 months old and the light of my life. My son and his wife kept her name a guarded secret until we met her in the hospital, I loved the name from the second they introduced us to her. ❤ I have one Diamond painting set I got for Christmas two years ago…haven’t had the courage to attempt it quite yet, maybe your videos will help my courage. 👍🏻
Great video. All of your points were perfect and I agree with all of them. FOMO is very difficult to overcome and I’m just now learning how to do that. I’ve been diamond painting for almost a year and still have to just walk away sometimes…lol!
I've been Diamond Paiting since December and I have to say, this was SO helpful! Quite a few of these are things I'd learned too from trial and error, like metal multiplacers, putty instead of wax, etc. But it was really good to hear others had the same experiences and to learn new things too. The hardest thing for me is going to be not buying too many more kits than I currently already have. My stash is probably around 30 kits and if I'm being honest, if I didn't buy another kit for the rest of the year I probably wouldn't run out. 😅
@@deborahanne9793 I buy most of my multiplacers from either Everlasting Tips on Etsy or from Diamond Art Club. I prefer the Everlasting ones for rounds and the DAC ones for square drills. They should fit on most pens, though the DAC tips I’ve had to add washi tape or plumber’s tape to make them fit securely.
You helped me, I'm going to order the Everlasting Metal Placers and the museum putty dots. I don't have much money, so I've been getting them on Amazon and TEMU. Thank you for giving two names of premium companies, the diamonds on yours are so perfect. Thanks again.
I have carpal tunnel and seriously bad back thanks to fibro but I love the bigger designs. I have to think I can only buy one large piece because I don't have to worry about time instead I have to consider how many breaks I need. I learned that the hard way
A great vid!!! And so helpful.. I wanted to do this yrs ago yet I wanted something to be able to sell so I went into dot art and I make and sell blanks. But this winter I am so getting into this😁😁💞 and all your tips has helped .Thank you.!!!
I wish I had known how addictive it is!! I've only been doing this for about a month and I've already ordered over 50 kits! Several have already been completed. I do prefer partial drills and off canvas kits. I'm the type of person who likes to see results... I don't want to wait weeks while finishing a kit. I liked that you said do what you like.
When you’re doing smaller kits, it doesn’t take long for the numbers to add up. If you are enjoying it and not stressing yourself financially, go for it! Thanks for watching!!
I just started diamond painting after getting some for my bday. My first "real" kits from DAC came today. Thank you for this video. I'm sure your advice will come in very handy. 😊❤
I barely started this. I came across an image on Diamond Art Club while browsing out of curiosity and fell in love. It's a dragon (and one you wouldn't like, lots of dark colours, but I'd hang that on my wall in diamond art. Love dragons). I decided then and there I'd only get images I'd hang up as wall art as I probably won't be able to do this for long with both joint issues and the meriad of other hobbies I have. The only exception I made was getting two smaller kits to practice with (the mandala coasters, which turned out beautifully, and the Dias de los Muertos so I could practice squares with images I liked). Best decision ever. I now know I like doing it enough to at least do several big kits for wall art and also that I probably won't be able to do more than like 4 a year considering I prefer the single placer, square drills, and massive canvasses. I think doing it this way just comes with having multiple creative hobbies as well as liking books, video games, and jigsaw puzzles. You just have to choose wisely what you spend your money on. It adds up fast and I don't have time for stuff I don't love enough. So I quit reading books I don't enjoy enough, I have stopped with a couple of games and puzzles because it wasn't the place or time (or just boring). Sometimes not finishing is just better, but I don't want that with diamond painting because I have expensive taste. AI and art is also a much wider discussion. It comes up in the wider art community as well as gaming and even writing quite a bit. AI art also has the issue it's often training using copyrighted pieces without the original creator's permission. Sometimes even when the artist expressly stated their art should not be used for it. This is why I decided to only buy properly licenced kit before even starting the hobby.
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous kinda. I've definitely gotten in tune with myself over the years. I even used to make videos myself. Mostly about books, but some about art and writing too.
Very informational video. Been doing Diamond Art for a few years. I had to take a break for all most a year now. I got burned out on it. Just getting back into it. Soon I hope. LOL I learned about the events that I did not know was a thing.
So good to know all this. I’ve never done it or heard of it before but found one I loved. I thought it was a regular painting but it was a diamond painting! I got it anyway because I could not find it in a regular painting. It’s 140x50cm! After watching this, I’m thinking it’s going to take me forever. I got the painting to go above our new couch. Guess it’ll be awhile before that happens. Thank you for all the tips.
This “list” is spot on! Number 7 really had me! lol “eye watering amount of money” 100%. Thank you so much for being honest and real! ❤. Love your videos!
I am newly back to diamond painting. Took a couple of years off as I didn't have time to work on any projects when my kids were younger. I started back in December and so much has changed. I am also a hard placer and really was excited about the metal placers and glue dots. I got a metal placer pen and glue dots and every time I go to use it, the drill stick on the glue dot and won't come off on the canvas. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any tips? I purchased my first DAC kit, I had to. It is called Cleo the colorful long hair cat. I have a long haired cat named Cleo. It came today and it is massive. I didn't realize how large it would be. UGH. I have been doing some off canvas projects recently and I am enjoying them. I missed why you're moving to Canada. Work? Exciting.
For the glue dots, you have to ‘dirty’ them up a bit to decrease the stick. Try dabbing the tip on your clothing lightly a few times. The glue dot will pick up some lint, but it makes the glue less sticky so the drills will release from the pen. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!!
I hate the square kits. Just got my first one. Detest it. I've never done washi tape. I don't like multiple placers either. I have TONS of finished works and plenty to do. I started doing them after I was in a coma. It was good for my hands.
Great tips. So far, I'm doing kits I find on Amazon & can afford. I just started around this past August. I had no idea there were high end diamond painting kits. I just saw a video tonight on one for the painting 'The Kiss'. I think she paid like $150 USD for it. Its pretty amazing with everything organized for you in a nice box with 2 different size drills & beautiful gems, plus 2 different size pens. Looks like it'll be gorgeous when its done. I'm looking for a nice one of the Angel guiding 2 kids over a bridge. Its a well known painting that my mom cross-stiched years ago & I'd like to diamond paint it in her memory. I'm not crazy about the budget one on Amazon. If anyone has ideas, I'm open to them. ❤❤
I like how it sounds when you play the diamonds onto the canvas it just I don’t know for some reason inside me it kinda like per firms to me that they’re actually sticking and that they will stay
I feel you should take all your Diamond painting assortments with you to Canada. If you can afford to travel with your DP equipment, take it with. It will more expensive to import it compared to moving with it. When you’re all settled in, then sell what you don’t want. Everything in your list is 💯 % spot on. I wish I had know it as well. Thank you ☺️
Love your vids ❤I learned so much from watching and knowing makes it much more fun 😊 where did you get that adorable round case for the drills? I would really like to get one for snack size kits 💎👍🏼
Thank you for this fantastic video. I am new to this craft and I love it! FOMO definitely hit me hard. And #10 just reminded me to just do what makes me happy! Thanks again for all you do and share!
Good tips. Where do you buy your steel tip pens ? I am in Canada and trying to begin things out to begin this craft. Also, do you just stick the pen tip in the glue dot?
Question for you so you say that you like to use the glue dots how do you load them into your pen? I’m kinda new at this, so I’m just trying to figure out some tricks and tips to help me along the way.
What do you do with leftover gems from a finished piece? How many storage container bins do you recommend? New to this and just finished my first one! I love it! Trying to figure out which new pen I want to buy- so many options but i think ill try out a metal one. Thanks for the videos and sharing your experience 😊
@@MindfulnessMama If the drills are good quality, I save them in case I run out on other projects. But some people just toss them. Thanks for watching!!
I’m very new to DP and some of these things you are highlighting, thankfully I have figured out quickly through other creators videos and coming upon some of yours as well. As far as the DP’s themselves. I know it’ll take me a loonngg time to complete a large canvas as I have a full time job and busy with taking care of my husband and my cats. So having just one large canvas is fine for me to focus on before I buy another. But also, I don’t have the space to store a bunch a paintings. I am preparing to start my large canvas of 22x33. It’s Gem Under the Sakura from DAC if you’d like to see which one. Thanks for all of your helpful tips to this newbie.
Size matters is definitely one that resonates with me. I also started with budget kits from Amazon (30 x 40) and I was getting a bit discouraged with how pixelated the images appeared. Then I started seeing ads for larger ones and decided to try one. My current WIP is 30 x 80 and there is a noticeable difference. I just ordered a kit from Diamond Art Club and I can't wait to try it (first time ordering from them). I need to look into the steel tips you mention! I have bent the tips on the pink pens so many times, it gets frustrating.
The steel tips definitely made a huge difference for me. It was a good thing the pink pens were free, because I went through a ton of them! Thanks for watching!!
The fomo tip was most important for me. I don’t have a huge stash but it is more than I need. I had started setting a reminder for DAC’s new releases on Saturdays. Now I take a look but I’m not buying unless it’s an absolutely must have image that I love
Thank you so much. FOMO for me. In my first year and definitely need to stop trying to order so much. Can be very expensive. You are always so helpful. I've learned so much from you. 😊
Great video 😊 you talked about the events, but not where to find the events. Didn't know about them. I am a pretty new diamond painter and for sure have fomo. I do wait with the paintings I don't love and buy the ones I do love first. There are so many DAC paintings I love though.
There are lots of different places to find events, but there are 2 I use regularly. There's a Diamond Painting Events group on FB with a pretty comprehensive list, and on IG mrandmrsdubediamondpaints maintains a Google spreadsheet for people to look at. Thanks for watching!!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous thank you! 😊 Have never heard or seen any events so didn't know where to find them. That would be fun. Thank you for informing me, gonna check them out 👌
I've only recently started, but have only one I"m working on, plus three in my stash. I also have a private Amazon Wish List with about 100 more on there... But I think I'm going to stick with the 12x16, both because in your comparison video the small doesn't look as bad as I expected, and I don't know where I can put bigger ones! I have some variety, but I'm going to get an A3 Portfolio book for a TON of them. I don't have that much wall space.
Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/O9mdQgVP8XI/v-deo.html. However, everyone works differently, so don't be afraid to try something!! Thanks for watching!!
A newbie tip keep a small tray for dropped and stray drills separate when time permits or at the end. You don’t want to be caught with a outlet of drills short that you tossed earlier
I use glue dots instead of the pink wax. They last much longer for me and I don’t have to keep reloading my pen like I did with the pink wax. Thanks for watching!!
One of the most important things I learned was that size matters. Images that are bigger (yes take longer) but are worth the the extra time and effort. I still suffer from FOMO, but not nearly at the level I did when I first started diamond painting. I love new pens, but after accumulating approximately a dozen, feel that it's an added expense that isn't necessary because I love the ones I have already. I did get a few fancy trays, but figured out that I have a few favorites and always ended up using them.. so don't really get trays anymore except if there is one made for a specific event that I would like to have. Overall, I am thrilled to have found this hobby and although my stash is excessive (see, I won't actually admit to the possibility of it being TOO excessive), I feel like I have found a balance of ones that I really love and ones that I like and think about more before purchasing. I average about 30-35 kits/yr, with only 3-5 of them being the large ones of 80x100 cm or so, the rest of them being a bit more manageable in size. I did "waste" a lot of money at the very beginning getting lots and lots of "budget" ones before I understood about the licensing, size, and quality. I still have many of them in bins. I hate to throw them out.. and thinking of contacting schools or nursing homes to see if they could use as donation. Thanks for a great video!
I also have accessories that I tend to use every time. Same for me with pens and trays. I’ll buy some to try occasionally, but I generally go right back to my favs. As for your budget kits, I’m sure schools or nursing homes would love to have them to occupy kids/residents! Thanks for watching!!
A lot of these tips I learned along the way like you did! FOMO tip really resonated with me. Once I started setting alarms for new releases and purchasing new paintings before even paying the last ones off, I had a reality check. There's maybe three in my stash that I think I wouldn't buy if I went back. But definitely would have paced myself better!
You have presented a very insightful video, thank you. Btw, I 🩷 the painting you are working on. I am new to diamond painting and have now purchased four canvases. Last night I did my first kit up and started with my round white ABs. Instead of using a drill tray, I made the mistake of using a silicone/rubber funnel which came from a storage container purchased from the big A. The AB drills adhered to the inside of the funnel, the rest fell on the floor. I managed to salvage the ones that did not fall, thank goodness, but now I am wondering where to purchase the correct replacement ABs. Are they universal or specific to the kit I am wondering. As I am unsure, do you have any recommendations as to where the best place is to purchase replacement round white AB drills? They are tiny, some are full of static, and I am finding them on the floor, table, and in various other places. The canvas is 32.8cm x 32.8cm. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance.
There are several drills companies where you can purchase ABs. I’ve used both DP with Sparklers and Diamond Drills USA and had good luck with both. Thanks for watching!!
Great list and I related to them! I would have loved some advice on where to find events when you discussed that point. The only one I have heard of is summer with the masters
There are a ton of events! There is a FB group called Diamond Painting Events where Kay keeps a fabulous list of various events that I refer to often. There is also a spreadsheet of events maintained by @mrandmrsdubediamondpaints on IG that I check regularly as well. There may be others, but those are the two places I check. Thanks for watching!!
I just started diamond art, I'm using the pink pin and pink wax so far, not sure how I feel the pink pen yet, I've only done 1 diamond art, it was a 30 by 30 American eagle with red white and blue colors colors, plus some more colors, have you tried temu to get some diamond art, that where I buy mine from, I got 3 more right now to do, hopefully I can start one this weekend, I only can work on them on weekends due to being busy all weekdays
I am a new diamond painting....I have a lot of questions. I am questioning what type of glue do you use, I heard you say glue dots but when I looked it up there were a lot of forms of the glue dot, I came in a liquid it came in a roll I don't know which one you were meaning?
@@usAnnMarie1212 Glue dots is the brand name, but they are just little dots of glue on a sheet or roll. There should be a link to them in the description box below the video. Thanks for watching!!
Everything resonated work me ESPECIALLY the fear of missing out. I’m very new to diamond art but not new to creative hobbies. I have big stashes for all of them. I don’t want that for this hobby, your tips were amazing.
@@MindfulnessMama It depends on the tip. I use the micro dots and 3-5, depending on the size of the well of the tip. If I have too much, I just trim it off.
Glue dots for the win always but have you tried Glue dots lines? I hate the dots in multi placings but try the glue dots lines I put it in cut the excess an its exactly the same as my single placer.
You can use a pen tip that is a straightener or you can buy plastic straighteners that are made to run in between the rows of drills to push them into place.
Great tips! I am thinking about trying diamond painting and this list is very helpful ❤

Thanks for your comment! I have lots of parchment paper.
I'm a single placer and fully enjoy the process!

Thankfully, my eclectic taste in diamond paintings has kept me safe from FOMO. Also, i love huge paintings, so i only keep about two in my stash. I dont have a lot to spend, so i save up for my purchases.
I cannot be more agree to point 10! I'm doing this for my relaxation and don't care how much time it costs me.
It’s so easy to get caught up with everything else, we forget that it should be relaxing/fun! Thanks for watching!!
Great tips. Thankfully my budget has always kept me out of the FOMO, I just don’t have the money to afford all the kits I want. I’ve had to be mindful about buying kits that I love.
Everybody’s situation is different. After getting caught up in FOMO, I wish I’d been more mindful. Thanks for sharing!!
eBay or Temu has many many kits at minimal prices
I agree.
I need to buy groceries and also pay rent just so I can have a place to keep my DPs!!
Temu has some amazing ones for under $10 which helped me decide if I was into it or not
This is an excellent episode!!
Very thoughtful. The size and time factors resonated with me the most. Thank you. ☺️
I’m wondering how it would affect people’s decisions if they looked at time to complete vs price. Thanks for watching!!

I can understand getting lost in that zen if it allows you to ignore chronic pain. Thanks so much for watching!!
#6 and #7 go hand in hand when you move to Canada. DAC doubles in price because of the exchange rate. Some stores do have Amazon stores though.
I found your channel a few weeks ago and I have been binge watching videos! Even ones from 2022 and 2023 lol Your voice is very soothing and I just like your channel! ❤ Thank you for another video!
Aww, thank you so much!!! 💖
There is a definite learning curve! Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for this video. Your tips are helpful
I'm new to diamond painting, and I love it.
I’m glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for watching!!
well that makes sense . thanks @@DiamondPaintingAnonymous
I’m so glad you were able to find your unicorn!! What a great story! Thanks for watching!!
I’ve begun doing the same thing with my wish lists - and rarely is something a ‘must-have.’ Thanks for watching!!
I am the same, I am really bad with writing too, I go through the paper and constantly got told off when I was a child at school😂❤
I agree on steel tips, let’s not forget their steel straightener, which is always with me during DPing. I do a lot of rounds so I uses it for every section I finish. Great video!
I always have a steel straightener on hand too! Thanks for watching!!
What is a steel straightener? Where do you buy steel, tip pens? Thanks.
OMG - the FOMO!!! Can’t agree more…and impressed you’ve managed yours. I’m better than I was but still have my “must be online at x time and refresh until the new arrival I need pops up” moments.

It definitely is very easy to build up a stash with new kits coming out all the time. Thanks for watching!!
Where do you by multi tip attachments and can they on any pen? Thanks.

I just started diamond painting after getting some for my bday. My first "real" kits from DAC came today. Thank you for this video. I'm sure your advice will come in very handy. 😊❤
Welcome to the hobby! Thanks for watching!!
@@ammalyrical5646 AI is definitely a slippery slope in many ways. Sounds like you know what works for you. Thanks for watching!!

❤❤❤😂 Been there, and done that! 👍🏾✌🏾
It’s definitely easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all. Thanks for watching!!
How do you load the steel tip with glue dots?
@@lynnripley4748 I use tweezers or a toothpick to shove the glue dots into the tip.
I've never purchased from Temu or AliExpress, though I did buy a few from Amazon when I first started. Thanks for watching!!
Great video ..gives a person lots to think about...you can get caught up in it quicker rhen you realize...
You definitely can! Thanks for watching!!
I’ve done the same with several hobbies as well, and I’m slowly getting rid of things that I bought but never/rarely use. Thanks for watching!!
Have you ever tried the lighted stylus pens?
@@deborahanne9793 I have, but the ones I’ve tried are plastic and don’t hold up like resin pens and steel tips. Thanks for watching!!
Do you buy a special pen for the glue dots?
@@MindfulnessMama I don’t. I use the glue dots in my steel single placer tips for all of my pens. Thanks for watching!!
Do like the angled tips or the straight ones better?
@@MindfulnessMama It depends on the tip. I use the micro dots and 3-5, depending on the size of the well of the tip. If I have too much, I just trim it off.
@@MindfulnessMama I prefer the straight ones.
Glue dots for the win always but have you tried Glue dots lines? I hate the dots in multi placings but try the glue dots lines I put it in cut the excess an its exactly the same as my single placer.
I’ve never heard of glue dots lines. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing!!
What tool is used to straighten drills already placed on the canvas
You can use a pen tip that is a straightener or you can buy plastic straighteners that are made to run in between the rows of drills to push them into place.
