Thanks for the great exercises. I learned to handstand against a wall at age 60 and built up strength by increasing the time I was up. Its a fabulous upper body exercise and I love doing it. I start each day first thing by going up.

Hearing that you've learned handstands at the age of 60 is inspiring. I'm now learning handstand and I'm 59.
To get extra help and inspiration, I have started training gymnastics for adults. It's good for the whole body, maintaining strength, balance and mobility.

Wow, this is the most comprehensive clip on steps to progress to handstand I think I’ve seen. Also well and succinctly explained.
Now, this is exactly what I needed! Most tutorials I've seen just tell you to practice with a wall or your feet on a chair but I just can't. I obviously have to work much more on my strength. So happy I came across this video 😊

I related to your instruction on this movement better than ANY previously - really great presentation style.
Been going at my own pace developing strength & flexibility. Took me 6 weeks to get both legs straight with wall handstand at 50 with extra weight. Working on improving my form, still going at own pace.
I have no strong desire to do a handstand but the shoulder strength, flexibility, and balance developed with your exercises will benefit me in my climbing. And, who knows? Maybe I’ll be moved to do a handstand!

Also, thank you for leaving out the wall assisted handstands! This is such a crutch and practicing balance from the center of the floor makes it so much more comfortable to achieve handstands.

FINALLY I found someone who actually knows how to do a full handstand tutorial. My main problem was strength which I don't have and I was looking for exercises which would help. All other tutorials that I saw where explaining only balance which is kinda annoying. So glad I found this channel

Great instructions! thank you! After a few decades of being a physical performer (aerialist) and never being injured, I went to a handstand training session and….got injured! I was encouraged to push through and just be gun-ho! First injury. Your instructions seem logical and educated. Much appreciated!

- wall balance - 1 leg up - 10 reps 3:31
- kick ups - focus on bottom leg - 3-5 hops, 5 reps 4:14
