thanks to Ryan too haha. explaining possible mistakes as a beginner and actually seeing it on the video and being corrected is really helpful and makes me feel better about my skill level :)
Amazing!! I’m 52 and been on the handstand journey for 2 years. Love your description of how at some point your legs magically lift effortlessly 😃- can’t wait!
Hey, Summer. I want to thank you, send my love to you!! One year ago, I wanted to learn how to do a pull up, so, I searched on youtube and found all kinds of programs, but non of them worked. I stopped trying and then got back. Even though I tried dozens of programs, I could not perform a pull up. Half a year later, I discovered your channel. You are so inspiring! I started working out again and a couple of months later I succeeded doing a pull up!! Now I can do three pullups. You helped me during my own journey, you are the reason that lead me to success. I am thanking you so much! It means a lot to me, thank you thank you thank you❤ I wish everybody knew about this channel.
Girl your content is exactly the kind I've been looking for. Extremely well explained with clear examples to copy. And above all, really well cut so that it doesn't get boring. Big thank you, I'll get started right away!
Out of a lot of Calisthenics YT channels...i think yours is very well thought out. I've seen so many YT calisthenics channels (mostly guys) give their tutorial but never like this
I absolutely LOVE stuff like this! I am so impressed that you taught yourself all of this. It gives me such motivation to know that. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for the training outline! Was about to make one myself, but this more than delivers! I haven't (yet) delved deep into your videos, but they seem on point and easily approachable. Greetings from snowy Finland 🇫🇮
Wonderful Demonstration of the handstand Summer!!! Being self taught without gymnastics experience also demonstrates that anything can be done!!! Great Job Summer!!! Keep up the good work!!! 🏋️♀️👍💚❤️💪🇦🇺
I dream of the day I could be flexible and strong enough to achieve the pancake fold and HS press as easily and elegant as you do. I just downloaded your sheet, andIm going to start trying out right away! Thank you!
I was an am skateboarder in a past life, i use a wall for some of you other videos. I am never sure I am doing your workouts correctly, but I feel my core all say. I threw out my own way of static stretching and have been using your way.
7:45 I think it's better to focus shifting where you have pressure in your hands. More pressure in your fingertips to come down w/ your legs and more the heel of your palms to go up. Improving the control in your fingertips will lead to more forward/back balance control when in the handstand.
Hi Summer, I was looking for handstand workouts and found your channel, it's amazing content, keep it up! Trying to get through all your workout/drills videos. What would really-really be next level is to do more of the follow-along videos - this one is so great but as a first time watcher each half minute or so I need to stop the video between exercises.
I'm very glad and happy that I have found your channel. I will follow all your videos. And by Lord help and your guide I will improve my gimnástica. I appreciate your time and free work and teaching you did for us all. Best wishes ❤ greetings
thank you for sharing everything in this video and that you say handstand (10sec hold) took u 13 months by practising 5 days a week. nowadays people think every move u can get in only 5 min or 2 weeks when u scroll social media. thats so sad bc at one point it will get harder and you might see no improvements, so people may give up quickly, because they dont realize some moves can take MONTHS and not only a short amount of time :/
3 exercises i could recommend for the press handstand that will give you indirectly it. Plache tuck planche progressions even if the full planche is not your goal due to the forward lean angle strength. L sit due to the compression strength flexibility it builds up too besides core compression hip flexor strength. Tuck handstand for the elevation strength
Such good info!!!❤ I’m so into your videos now that I was recommended!!! I’m close but need a little more work I’m so happy to find your channel. It’s hard to find a good teacher who knows how to do these things
who is summer? for the hungry, it is bread. for the sick, it is healing. for the lonely, it is the companion. for the sad, it is joy. for the reader, it is the word. for the prisoner, it is freedom. for the poor, it is the treasure. for the debtor, it is forgiveness.
My hip mobility is similar to Ryan's so I expect to have similar issues when trying some of these exercises. Do these moves help to improve that hip flexibility and mobility?
Wow! You really taught yourself that? With no gymnastics background? You girl, are truly amazing ;-) I've tried for so long but always failed to get my feet off of the ground even...How did you do it? P.S. instantly subscribed to your channel ;-D P.P.S. I can already hold a handstand for 10+ seconds - am i ready for the handstand press? Will it ever happen?
There is a workout sheet you can download in the description box :) But if that's not your thing, perform a few reps of each between, stopping before failure for 2-3 sets.
So nice videos, really inspiring, I would like you to Meet and take parronal training, I am from INDIA, would love to join if you conduct any sessione in future, love you so much ❤
Do you have any advice for someone who has trouble on increasing their external rotation of your arms when moving the angle from plank to pike & then to handstand. my arms Rotate inwards & start bending. Any ideas? Much appreciated! Great Video! Thanks, Karsten 🙏🏼
Hey! Nice video thanks! You said make sure you work both legs for kick ups but it's not working with my right leg. Is it possible to skip that and still work on press?
Awesome channel! Just found you through the interview on Fitness Faq's channel. By the way, I got a question. I know that we need to have an posterior pelvic tilt to raise our legs on the press, but when it comes to the top part of the press (6:30) it seems we need to have a little arch on the back to align the hips with the shoulders, which seems to require an anterior pelvic tilt. Am I right? Should we have an anterior pelvic tilt at the top? Thanks! 🤸♂️
Do you have any ideas what I can do to lift my legs up? I feel I'm on the strong side for a female with gut shoulder and arm strength. But no matter how often I praxis I am never able to lift me legs up :(
Have you practiced this workout routine? It has many drills designed to help you lift your legs. If you've been practicing these exercises multiple times a week for 6-8 weeks and haven't seen any progress, then book a video coaching call with me under "contact" on summerfunfitness.com so I can provide some individualized advice.
You have the most lovely body! My body goal Would you be able to create a video on this? Is it primarily body-weighted workouts that helped you to achieve this?
This tutorial looks like the best so far, but a minor thing i saw in pancake/dynamic pancake somewhere else were to add a small cushion on your ass, when you are inflexible as ‘that guy’
I'm an ex gymnast, used to have my press handstand and I'm trying to get it back. This is one of the best videos I've seen yet!
thanks to Ryan too haha. explaining possible mistakes as a beginner and actually seeing it on the video and being corrected is really helpful and makes me feel better about my skill level :)
Yeah, his participation adds a lot to the video. Keep bringing this guy 🤸♂️
Believe me, she is one of the Top handstand masters ever, after one of her tutorials magic happens!🤸🤗
Which tutorial? ❤
There are plenty handstand masters 😊

Thank you 3000 for this video ❤
I feel comforted by Ryan’s struggles but I cannot even kick up like he can!
Awwwn my heart melted by the way you speak and your stunning face 👀 just by clicking the video ❤️😊
I dream of the day I could be flexible and strong enough to achieve the pancake fold and HS press as easily and elegant as you do. I just downloaded your sheet, andIm going to start trying out right away! Thank you!
Thank you so muchhh for this !! So many exercises to work with💪👏🙌Could you make a follow along type video of the routine?
I was an am skateboarder in a past life, i use a wall for some of you other videos. I am never sure I am doing your workouts correctly, but I feel my core all say. I threw out my own way of static stretching and have been using your way.
Damn your dynamic kicks were so symmetrical, had to search at least 5 seconds before i could find the second leg. Hahaha, neat form!!! 👍 💪.
Sis, your mobility is amazing! Great video.
Makes me feel a lot better about my skill level, watching someone other than summer 😂

I did use the handstand press workout sheet so thank you!
Thanks for these and including Ryan! I'm working on it now but struggle with hip flexibility like I think he does as well. Will keep at it!
Super explanation 👌👌👌
This is my dream skill
Such great information thank you!😊
Love your workouts. You should have a follow along for different kinds of push ups workout with progression.
Check out my follow along playlist for push up workouts :)

The video I was looking for!!!! It's perfect! Thank you so much.
How many times a week do you recommend doing this practice? Thank you so much it is so hard and great 😊
Great content ! Weighted good mornings (seated) also help for reaching the pancake mobility.
Fantastic tutorial and amazing coach! I'm super excited to try it all out tomorrow at the gym 😍 thank you xx
Thank you 🪬 AWESOME tutorial
very cool!
The first step is wrist mobility to move and hold. Your wrist is stiff and needs like the ankle to move more over the hand in rotation skill
Great video! I saw your Reel at Instagram but everything was very fast, but here I can see all very well explained :) Thank you! I will try it
So great!!
