The enemy fights you in your mind. No matter how heavy it gets, no matter how hard it may seem, no matter what life puts on your shoulders, look down and dig your feet in and stand up against the odds, because you can. You’re still breathing, you’re still lifting the weight of life, because you’re stronger than anyone can fathom. Stand up because you’re not done and fight from the inside and remember she’s your spotter now. I’ll see you on the Rock N Roll Road my brother.
I feel you man. My father was diagnosed with malign cancer on his intestines a week ago. That very same cancer killed his father and mother too. Fuck cancer.
@Boston is my race track That's because there are MORE negative emotions than POSITIVE. All the more reason to react like this. The struggle is REAL. I’ve been listening to Evanescence for 17 years. My brain can never comprehend that there are people out there that haven’t listened to them. Edit: can confirm this is my favorite one that I’ve heard live. The whole audience singing it somehow makes it more emotional.
Been listening to them since I first heard their songs on the Daredevil soundtrack back in the day. It boggles my mind too that people are unfamiliar with them.

@@yuklz247 that is a close second for me. I do have a video I took of the performance they did of Lost In Paradise last year when I saw them. Only full song I took a video of. Although everyone was singing along to that one, too. Never uploaded it here, though.
@@MrRockNRollLive Crying a safety valve, not a leak. Keep things bottled-up and they eventually explode. The worst advice any man ever gave to another was "Man-up".

Its a fucking masterpeice, isnt it? Absolute fucking masterpiece. This was one hell of a debut album. You wait til you hear it being performed live with all the crowd singing it back at her. Blows. Your.. F*cking. Mind. I promise you that. Its such a huge song that has taken on a life of its own and means so much to so many people for so many reasons... Its a classic.

Her voice goes straight to your core. She just described sorrow, lost, pain, disclosure really well. Yeah this song is old but it's timeless. Hell this beat recent songs
This song is almost 20 years old now and came out when I was in my early 20's. It's a song that defiantly hits harder now. Back then, it was just a great song, now it's a powerful song. I can now relate to the lyrics, but not towards a specific relationship, but towards my memories, moments, and my mind. The older we get, the more memories hurt, not just the sad and/or bad ones like losing a loved one, but the good ones also, like life never being as great as it once was, as certain moments will never be experienced again like they were when we lived them. My memories are slowly killing me as I can't let go.
@@Defensive_Wounds and after that 'Seether - Rise above this'. Shaun (the vocalist from Seether) was having a hard time, and yes drunk too much. His brother commited suicide and he couldn't handle it. When you put everything in perspective, it is a very sad story.
This always reminds me of "Aragorn and Arwen". The Two Towers came out about the same time as this song. I always imagine Arwen to wander around, being immortal while Aragorn died ages ago. The lyrics fit to that perfectly.
I never put that specific comparison together with this song, but I did compare Amy to Arwen. They both look somewhat similar. But you’re so right about this song paralleling Aragorn and Arwen in LOTR! I’m glad you pointed that out.
I still remember when the band came to my town in spain to film this. The parts were she's on the tree and all interior shots, were filmed in l'Artesà a really popular bar in it. Wait... min 5:01 in the background, is that?... it is! REX!!! RiP you were such a good doggo
The best part of the video is when that drum hits...u feel happy and sad at the same time...thus u cant hold back that tear..after all these years this song is so powerful 🖤❤️
I was gonna say, you weren't really able to even watch the video. It got you on that first note and you were done. Thanks for sharing this video and your acting story! That piano melody gets me every time.
I love Evanescence! Don’t worry about crying sweetheart! Her voice is the sound your heart makes when it breaks into a million pieces! Watch the official video to MY HEART IS BROKEN b6 EVANESCENCE! It is so beautiful! ❤️🤘🏻
No need to be ashamed of your tears when they are in your heart. True men are never ashamed of their feelings. Thank you for showing your feelings, man!
Thank you for your reaction. Thank you for not being too tough to feel the emotion. My mother passed away from cancer, in my arms, staring straight into my face when I was 23 years old. She used her last breath to say "I love you" This song brings me back to that moment, and to the months of struggles leading up to that. . We all need to cry. And when you feel the need, Amy Lee will bring it out of you.
During the period of time when this song was released, I was in one of those relationships where I tried to “rescue” a very damaged girl. It ended the way you would expect (although she does credit me with keeping her alive at one of the worst times in her life). This song takes me back to that, and the wounds that have never healed.
That frustrated yell in the back was TRUTH. We felt that as much as her high notes. We all know that feeling in connection to this song. It was validating to see someone else go through it, seriously. Also... "I just wanna like hug her!" That is such a mood.
I can't believe no has explained the concept of the video. She is a spirit and is tormented and trapped there because his love for her keeps her there. Notice how her feet never touch the ground and the kids around her ignore her.
I've not long lost my mum. The hole still hasn't healed. I'm not really an outwardly emotional person but this song opens the flood gates. Miss her so much and can't tell anyone.
@@slap_A_flamingo Yea, doing well overall. They passed in Jan and May 2020, so I'm being reminded all over again on the anniversaries. I know what you mean about not being able to tell anyone...it's like there is so much noise in the world, no one hears you. Hang in there.
@@UltraReefReseller man that's hard like. Will still be really fresh for you. I'm so sorry. I know what you mean. Dis you live with them? I made the mistake of trying to ignore the grief. That never panned out well. Better now though.
@@slap_A_flamingo good to hear. My brother was in his 50's and so am I. Mom was in her 70's but seemed mostly healthy until my brother went, then she never got better. Your heart has to be broken to the core to really understand/feel the lyrics. That first pain never ever really goes away. Even if you know it is for the best. This song/depth of lyrics is priceless/ timeless. True masterpiece.
Amy's been destroying people (even GUYS) since this album came out. Don't feel bad Heath! One thing though - the one comment you didn't make I was expecting - "O M G those EYEEESSSS" Agreed??? LOL
This song is about loving someone for a long time & realizing that all the time you were loving them they were not loving you back just acting like it , they were never there for you , I was in a relationship for 7 & 1/2 years we even had a child together , she split up with me because she was messing around with her boss , it took me 3 years to get over her & I still hold on to this song in my heart . Just recently she married the guy she was cheating on me with & I had thoughts of now she’s living the life I wanted for both of us & old feelings came back but now I realize that the person I loved is now dead & gone & now I have to morn her death .
I'm glad you found your own meaning in the song, and of course the beauty of music is drawing from it what you will, the meaning and who it's dedicated to, has been reiterated by the band. The deep love between a boy and his grandpa - and one of them passes away.
This song always hits me hard. The whole album is extremely emotional and powerful. A lot of grief and loss. It came out at a time when I was still dealing with a lost relationship and both parents diagnosed with tumors and cancer. It allowed me to release a lot of anger and sadness and confusion. Beautiful stuff! Thanks for the showcase and reaction!
If you want to make your eyes leak this song does it every time. Driving home on I4 in Florida and having people stare at me crying my eyes out listening to her angelic voice and working out my tear ducts. Another song is Queens, Who Wants To Live Forever.
WHEN YOU SAID "I HATE SEEING THAT", CURLED UP DEPRESSED LOOK FROM WOMEN. MAN, WHEN WOMEN DO THAT IT MAKES ME WANT TO HUG THEM AND LET THEM NOW EVERYTHING WILL BE O.K. YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR TRUE EMOTIONS, YOUR EMPATHY. THIS IS WHAT A REAL MAN DOES. MAN BEING A HUMAN.
Yes. This song is fkn amazeballs. No other voice like hers out there. If u REALLY want to feel some emotion, listen to Hello. She wrote it about her little sister. She won’t sing it in concert. It’s haunting. Such a beautiful inside and out talent.
When she said “but you’ll still have all of me” choked me up, I thought of my ex, who I loved so much and who I thought loved me the same. She had no idea the true feelings I’ve had for her 😢🥺😔
I'm 73 years old and I have never had a problem showing my emotions. This song absolutely slays me. The words, Amy's heartfelt vocals, the black and white video, all together touch my heart. I have tears streaming down my face. This song does it to me every time. I loved your reaction. You made me feel like I'm not alone. its okay bro, i grew up listening to this song for years and years, and it still makes me tear up.
i heard this when it came out and it still gets me. It's the way she holds certain words or parts of the song to bring out the emotion, just an awesome vocalist all around.
Her voice, the tempo and the lyrics came together just perfectly.
Damnit.
My fav live song is lost in Paradise.. I think there's a video on UA-cam of her singing in Germany.. There's a live audience and there's pin drop silence through the song
@@tjhorne82 it happens nearly every time I see a "first time hearing" reaction to them. Particularly to this song and "Bring Me To Life".
@@yuklz247 that is a close second for me. I do have a video I took of the performance they did of Lost In Paradise last year when I saw them. Only full song I took a video of. Although everyone was singing along to that one, too. Never uploaded it here, though.
@@imcherylynn no way, I'm so jealous! You should upload it, why not 😊
Her voice gives me chills every time I hear it; album or live. She’s incredible.
30 seconds before you said you wanted to hug Amy, when you were crying I was like awww I just wanna give him a hug! Hugs are the BEST!
Dudes need it too 😂
@@MrRockNRollLive amy lee has an octave 3 sopra voice
@@MrRockNRollLive Crying a safety valve, not a leak. Keep things bottled-up and they eventually explode. The worst advice any man ever gave to another was "Man-up".
@@ChrisPage68 We need to change what "Man-up" implies into something positive for sure. From "don't be a p**sy" to more like "step up and face your responsablities" or something. I feel since i was young that it's more "okay" amongst men to show feelings.
I would hug you anytime 😊
Amy Lee's voice is so Angelic it pierces your soul.
If you haven't reacted to Evenesences "Going Under" yet, please do
*inhales* Oh YEEESSS
Amy Lee's voice is the most incredible female voice on earth. I love every song she has ever sang.
This song is just a masterpiece. This give me chills everytime. And Amy voice is amazing
Had I not heard this song, had I not heard her voice.
I'd be dead right now, Evanescence and their music saved my life.
I know I'm a year late, but I'm glad you here bud.
@@Keff11ispired11 1 year and 8 evanescence tattoo's later. I appreciate it
I'm late as well, but I'm so glad you're still with us. God bless you ❤️ You being here brings warmth to my heart. Even if you are a stranger, I hope you outlive me and live the best life.
Glad you’re still with us brother. Stay strong king
Me too. I woke up in the hospital with this song playing at 18 from an attempted suicide. My life changed that day.
Her voice goes straight to your core. She just described sorrow, lost, pain, disclosure really well.
Yeah this song is old but it's timeless. Hell this beat recent songs
I love it when grown men get goosebumps and cry at the sound of Amy Lee’s voice.
Good music does it go me in general lol. When Maria Brink sings in fighter it does it to me too 😅😭
😂😂
Omg this throws me back. I feel so old. Evanescence FALLEN album is a masterpiece
Their fallen album was everything to me in my teen years. 😭😭😭
The video version of this song is better than the record version. The band joining in towards the end adds so much to the song.
You are 110% correct
No thanks, that part ruins the song
This song is almost 20 years old now and came out when I was in my early 20's. It's a song that defiantly hits harder now. Back then, it was just a great song, now it's a powerful song.
I can now relate to the lyrics, but not towards a specific relationship, but towards my memories, moments, and my mind. The older we get, the more memories hurt, not just the sad and/or bad ones like losing a loved one, but the good ones also, like life never being as great as it once was, as certain moments will never be experienced again like they were when we lived them. My memories are slowly killing me as I can't let go.
The fact that you felt bad for that actress crying because you couldn't make her feel better is just so so sweet ❤️
Please react to Broken by seether ft. Amy lee absolutely amazing and very emotional song
Then do the sequel after she and the vocalist of Seether broke up - *Call Me When You're Sober*
@@Defensive_Wounds totally
@@Defensive_Wounds and after that 'Seether - Rise above this'. Shaun (the vocalist from Seether) was having a hard time, and yes drunk too much. His brother commited suicide and he couldn't handle it. When you put everything in perspective, it is a very sad story.
This always reminds me of "Aragorn and Arwen". The Two Towers came out about the same time as this song. I always imagine Arwen to wander around, being immortal while Aragorn died ages ago. The lyrics fit to that perfectly.
Is recorded in Barcelona...
I understand, wonderful perception ... Already goose bumps
@@elessartelcontar9415 l
I never put that specific comparison together with this song, but I did compare Amy to Arwen. They both look somewhat similar. But you’re so right about this song paralleling Aragorn and Arwen in LOTR! I’m glad you pointed that out.
Woah 😔 This made me sad
That piano melody gets me every time.
this was one of the best reactions that i have seen in my entire life in this song, congratulations on your sensitivity.
I love Evanescence! Don’t worry about crying sweetheart! Her voice is the sound your heart makes when it breaks into a million pieces! Watch the official video to MY HEART IS BROKEN b6 EVANESCENCE! It is so beautiful! ❤️🤘🏻
I’m so proud that this was recorded in Barcelona. I know all the places in the video.
Sant Felip Neri!!
Yo soy español y es la primera vez que me entero de esto, como 20 años después xD
Unbelievable I was thinking ohh I know this song from the beginning but where the video was shoot at ? And then here comes Barcelona
I didn’t know where the video was filmed! I thought it was somewhere in Europe though. Barcelona seems like a good place to film the My Immortal video
I still cry every time I hear this. Amy Lee has a hauntingly beautiful voice as well as beautiful. 😢😢
My mum has told me for years now that when she dies she wants this song played at her funeral
No need to be ashamed of your tears when they are in your heart. True men are never ashamed of their feelings. Thank you for showing your feelings, man!
I leak everytime i hear this one too brother. Its so sad and hopeless... shows how fragile we are.
Not fragile. If songs like this leave you cold, you simply have no soul. There is no shame in being touched by music. None whatsoever.
It hits most with those who have lost too much
Thank you for your reaction.
Hey dude she always puts a 'knife to the emotional heart" effect on me and this song in particular! And, let it be known, REAL men DO cry!
During the period of time when this song was released, I was in one of those relationships where I tried to “rescue” a very damaged girl. It ended the way you would expect (although she does credit me with keeping her alive at one of the worst times in her life). This song takes me back to that, and the wounds that have never healed.
You did good bro you did good
That frustrated yell in the back was TRUTH. We felt that as much as her high notes. We all know that feeling in connection to this song. It was validating to see someone else go through it, seriously. Also... "I just wanna like hug her!" That is such a mood.
Sabaton - Swedish Pagans live Wacken 2019.
Evanesence - Call me when you're sober..
Yasss!
Call me when you´re sober is such an awesome song!
And that clip is so, so cool. xD
I think it´d make Mr. Rock N Roll very happy indeed. ^^
I can't believe no has explained the concept of the video. She is a spirit and is tormented and trapped there because his love for her keeps her there. Notice how her feet never touch the ground and the kids around her ignore her.
OH
That Makes sense lol
Her opera training really shines here. Then her eyes. Enough said.
Why im every hear that song my tears begun to fall..and i dont know what to me
Now I wanna hug you 🥺

I've not long lost my mum. The hole still hasn't healed. I'm not really an outwardly emotional person but this song opens the flood gates. Miss her so much and can't tell anyone.
Same here...and my brother, still trying to heal. Stay tough.
@@UltraReefReseller man that's tough. U ok? Yes I just try not to think about it. End up just turning into a baby.
Evanescence is such an incredible band. Amy has that powerful voice and really knows how to mix classic and Rock music. Just amazing.
One thing though - the one comment you didn't make I was expecting -
"O M G those EYEEESSSS" Agreed???
LOL
I love how open and honest you are, not just with showing your emotions through the song, but with putting into words how the song hits you.
Every time I listen to this song it brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful song. Love your reaction.
Her voice is mesmerizing and just…..phenomenal.
I love the majority of his dialogue was “DUDE!” and “AHHH!!!”... lol!
The Lindsay Sterling/4 tenors version of that one is gorgeous too
WHEN YOU SAID "I HATE SEEING THAT", CURLED UP DEPRESSED LOOK FROM WOMEN.
Lacrymosa, Lithium or Snow white Queen
"Call me when you're sober" she sounds powerful and pissed off too🤘
Their song ‘Hello’ is the one that made me bawl.
When she said “but you’ll still have all of me” choked me up, I thought of my ex, who I loved so much and who I thought loved me the same. She had no idea the true feelings I’ve had for her 😢🥺😔
I think this the song she wrote after she lost her sister....she put all of her thoughts & feelings into it for sure!!! 😭
I think that was "Hello"!, correct me if i'm wrong :)
The song she wrote for her sister was Hello. This was written by Ben (the one on the piano) about his grandmother.
Next BRING ME TO LIFE please!!!
YES "BRING ME TO LIFE"
Yes!!!!! Please!,,,
you poor man got wrecked! this is definitely a powerful one.
The album version gets me, Amy’s voice is so powerful, makes me cry all the time
Real men cry. Especially to this song because it's a damn heartbreaker 😅
I don’t know why, but when I see a man getting emotional and protective, my heart just melts. Definitely a new sub from me 🥰
When Amy is in her wheel house like in this one she can rip your heart out.
“I just want to hug her”. Aww you big softie☺️
"That's why we guys die at the age of 50". Dude dropping truth bombs in a reaction video.
Billy Boy (this song is a total departure from the normal Evanescence).
Amy’s Voice is Hauntingly Angelic. After Reacting to “My Immortal” , React to a Song from the Same Album ,

Let me say, as a woman, it hurts me to see men cry. Makes me want to comfort them and make them feel better. 🥺
Hmm I've never thought of it from a women's perspective. Very interesting
