I lost my girlfriend of over a year due to suicide. We would talk every night around the same time every night. She had severe depression, and she told me that I was one of the only things that made her feel something. I remember there would be nights where I would hold her as she would break down from all the stress in her life. From the back seat of my car, to my couch. There would be times I would tell her yell and let out some of her stress because it was eating her up. She never could. Every night, I can't help but feel her gone. I stare at my last text messages from her. The last messages I ever got from her. I go through everything she ever gave me, from thank you cards, to birthday cards, to drawings she made for fun. I lose it everytime it plays "These wounds don't seem to heal. This pain is just too real" "There's just too much that time cannot erase" Rest In Peace.
Man, I am so sorry for your loss. I could feel the pain in your words, and it speaks to just how pure and true your love and your pain are. May she rest in peace, and may the two of you see eachother again in the next life.
*"She never touches the ground!"* I can't believe I didn't make that connection through all the years, having returned to it so many times, since *My Immortal* came out. This is one of those songs that still moves me. So incredibly beautiful, powerful yet frail all at the same time.

Wow. I'm touched that you appreciate and feel this song as much as I do. Sorry to hear about the wife's health scare, and happy that it sounds like you guys have weathered that storm. Best wishes, man.
I am gald to hear you are coming through that scare. My wife had a stroke at 35 and cancer at 40. Made it through both but everything is still different. I always interpreted this song as loving someone woth drug addiction that finally passed away. But alternatively my heart wants it to be about vampires and the theme of the Underworld series. So filled with emotional conflict everytime.
I love how you notice that she never touches the ground. She tells in an interview that she represents a spirit haunting a loved one. I respect your honest emotions about this song and how it touched you. I have loved this since it first came out and I still get teary eyed to this day. As bad as you felt going through the cancer issue with ur other half, I kno u are even more thankful to have made it through. Sending love to the family❤ If you want some ideas on the next Evanescence song, Everybody's Fool is a great one. It talks about social media.
I wouldn't mind seeing a reaction to every track on that album, it's an amazing album from start to finish and every song in its own way is incredibly powerful
Yes, I love how you picked up on how she never touches the solid ground at any point in the video. Meanwhile, the guy is in black and always grounded, clearly struggling to write a song while seemingly dealing with a deeper sadness. Its definitely a song that brings to mind the lingering pain after losing someone you love to death. And I always say, never apologize for emotions. Songs like this clearly are written to draw out that emotion, and by crying...you prove the writer's and singer's efforts were successful.
I lose it everytime I heat this song. Both my parents have passed on due to cancer. And it's heartbreaking. After my mom passed away this song was a vital part of my healing process. My mom passed in 2015. The song was so beautifully done.
Hey Knox, thanks for opening yourself up there at the end, brother. Your honest, beating heart is the reason why you have this devoted crew with you, watching your channel and listening to your music. Very glad to hear your wife is doing better!
this one hits on so many levels, lost relationships, lost loved ones, just all the bad stuff, i know it isnt that deep but its what i have always taken from it
@@GeorgeLucas_TaintedLegacy Most of that video, Amy's vocals especially, give me goose bumps. I like the version of the song without the slapped-on Rock instrumentals. The piano-only version was GORGEOUS and did not need the drums or guitars. Either way, goose-bump inducing in THE BEST way... :)
You're right. This song is timeless. Glad things are looking up for your family. If you want a couple of other fantastic Evanescence tracks to hear, check out "Call Me When You're Sober", "Going Under", "Everybody's Fool", or the more recent "Wasted On You" and "Use My Voice"
Call Me When You’re Sober was a wild one. I enjoyed a handful of Seether songs but the one that got me in to them was Broken featuring Amy Lee. Finding out that Call Me When Your Sober was written about Shaun Morgan and they’d been dating for years and he’d spiralled so far was shocking. It was kind of cool hearing that he supposedly checked in to rehab the day Call Me When You’re Sober came out.
There is something truly powerful in music - when it comes on your playlist, you pause, take a second and go ... "nah, not today". When the song is that hard hitting it can affect your mood for the day so you leave it for another day. That is a sign of a TIMELESS SONG.
This song does bring you to tears, and right at 3:01 when those guitsrs hit it just does something to you, like you feel all the pain and emotion on tha fret board. He played the hell out of that guitar.
9:00 This song made me cry when it came out and when I was like 10. I have no idea why, I had never lost anyone close to me, but Amy's emotion and talent brought a little boy to tears.
This came out around the time my husband died and it still gets me. It got me through a soul crushing time and I still cry every time I hear it. "You still have all of me" is so true. He still has all of my heart
"Even tho it's sad, there is also this beauty to it." Yeah, I know exactly that feeling. My immortal has this power of just putting us in front of a mirror and making us see how vulnerable we can be, and that this doesn't necessarily is a bad thing. Almost realizing, embracing and loving to be human. Great song, great reaction and I wish you and your wife well!
While I was never the biggest Evanesence fan despite hearing them from their first track, I've always maintained that Amy Lee is one of the most gifted vocalists I've ever heard. Her voice is GORGEOUS.
The moment Amy Lee begins to sing it's instant chills for me. Her voice can only be described as haunting. I'd love to hear what you think of "Speak to Me"!
This song will always be emotional for me. When I was a freshman in high school I met someone who was a few grades ahead of me and who I also learned had beat cancer when he was a kid. He later got another girl in his grade pregnant, convinced her to keep it, got a job, graduated and became an electrician. He also got engaged to the girl when sadly his cancer returned and sadly took him. They had agreed to play this song at his funeral. R.I.P Brett you are missed friend
Thanks for taking my suggestion! Here's another one by them: Hello. You want cold chills, if her voice in this song doesn't give you chills, check your pulse!
I lost my middle son to suicide two and a half years ago. You have no idea how many times I listened to this song and how many times it truly wrecked me. Absolutely gorgeous song. ❤
“Plan for the worst, hope for the best” I hear that brother and Hope is an amazing thing. I’m glad you picked up on the poetry in her lyricism. One of the most incredibly written songs I’ve heard. Stay strong Mr and Mrs Knox ❤
I love your comments because you are not visually affected like most of YT commentators. You feel lyrics, you can feel the message, vibration of the song and you experience it. Thx man. We love you.
The lyrics were written by the guitar player. It's about the pain he experienced after losing a close loved one. He actually quit the band right after making this video. Also, Amy is supposed to be a spirit in the video. Notice how she's never touching the ground at all throughout the video.
I've been an Evanescence super fan for 20 years, my absolute all time favourite band, yet I didn't know about the ghost thing... huh. I guess while I really really like My Immortal, I've never been as crazy about it as most other fans. I do however know from the bts that the dress is actually pastel pink, and that video is shot in the gothic part of Barcelona, and one day I'll go walk on that fountain!
I don’t usually comment on reaction videos. But your interpretation of the video is unique and something I hadn’t considered even though I’ve seen this video dozens of times. Appreciate your thoughts on it.
When this song came out, I was stuck making hour long commutes to a job that kept my kid in Insulin. During the commute, I was refining a novel series (approximately 10 books). I plan to one day start releasing it, now that life has given me the time (in the worst possible way). From the first moment I heard this song, I knew THIS was the song that played during the final scenes of the final book. It encapsulated EVERYTHING about that moment and the journey to there. It makes the moment even more impactful because it evokes events in the audience member's own life, creating a bond that enhancing the emotions. I have finally had time this last year to outline the story that I have been developing for over 30 years. After a 300+ page outline, this song is still perfect both in lyrics and performers. A cover would be unacceptable. It is sad that this song has disappeared from the mainstream consciousness, but maybe I can eventually bring it back.
I never comment, but I feel like I have to tell you how happy I am to know that the bad shit is behind you and your wife. This song's impact get through the ages like you said, 20 years and it still make me feel emotional !
Please please please keep doing more, this is just the first album that celebrates 20 years this year, she grows so much both her voice and the themes of her songs! (also p.s. fun fact the dress she wears is actually pink, but since it's in black and white everyone always thought it was white, I gasped audibly when I saw bts pics of the video!) (Amy actually has some songs about her younger sister who passed away at age 4, when she was 6, of unknown reasons, and it's something that always stayed with her a lot to the point that she doesn't perform live the songs that are specifically about her because she would get too emotional. It'd be cool if you looked up her story too, plenty of interesting trivia)(ok, not gonna say sorry about that, but can I say I'm glad all is fine with your wife? Cause I am. Love ya)
I saw Evanescence live in Leeds, England last year and when she sang this I was absolutely spellbound. The audience sang with her. It was beautiful. Love from Yorkshire, England
This has to be my favourite Evenescence song of all time. Beautiful lyrics, so moving, and a stunning vocal! We can all relate in a different way to the lyrics. We all take what we need from it. It’s timeless! Great review, of a great song! Wishing you and your wife many happy years together Knox!
This song is so relatable to many for many different reasons. Loss of a loved one by death or just the death of a relationship. When she sings, "But though you're still with me, I've been alone all the long" implies a relationship where one person is still holding on while the other is half way out the door.
What an amazing song. Her voice is so beautiful. The lyrics are heart wrenching, emotional. Love the black and white video. Amy is beautiful. Her eyes are piercing. Great reaction, Billy Boy
This is honestly one of my favorite songs. It is so hauntingly beautiful. Amy Lee's voice is just so ethereal and other worldly... And the fact that she can do these light whispery songs and still have such power and command with her tone and the strength of her voice... and then just belt it out when those guitars come in... She is amazing. There are very few albums that I love start to finish... even my all time favorite bands, I have some songs I don't like as much... I can honestly say that I love every single song on their album Fallen.
Their first album was SO good. Also, it’s not 13 years old, it’s 13 on UA-cam but the album was released in 2003. That’s super impressive to me, for a 20 year old song and album to still elicit the same kind of emotional response so long after it’s release. It’s just fantastic!
Amy has a way of pulling at your soul, and she really writes from her heart and I think that really connects with people. They are my favorite band. If it’s possible she’s better live
Going under, call me when you’re sober, all of evanescence music is a must listen to. Also Linsey Stirling and Amy Lee, love will go on and on is so good
That whole album man... classic, epic. I still listen to it. Amy Lee's writing is amazing. When I was younger, this was just an amazing song I listen to. After my mom passed away from cancer in 2015, this is one of the songs that brings me comfort whenever the feeling of great loss visits me sometimes. I'm glad you and your wife are in a better space now and she's doing good. More power to you both!
“Though you’re still with me, I’ve been alone, so alone”. So much understanding by anyone who’s been deeply in love, and the other side was not anymore.
Every. Single. Time….I listen to My Immortal…I cry profusely…tears rolling down my face…and nose running. I love all sorts of music and I am a musician. This is absolutely the saddest, most moving song ever written. The arrangement, the chords, the movements, the vocals, and yes, the explosion of the full band coming in on the climax. The pain of loss this invokes in incredible. This song is sheer perfection.
Thanks Knox for listening to your followers and reacting to this song. And what an amazing, emotion filled reaction it was. I'm sorry to hear about your wife's health scare, but so happy that she's doing much better now. I'm so happy to see the best reactor listening to one of the most amazing songs ever.
Lost my fiance to cancer last year, this song breaks me every time I hear it. I'm glad your wife was able to pull through. It's horrible having to watch the person you love suffer from this horrendous disease
Honestly, another emotional piece that's good for getting into your feels is "Hello." That one is beautiful (as is everything off of the album tbh; it's an amazing album) Other good ones are Good Enough, Call Me When You're Sober, Lithium, and Lose Control ♡ idk, their older stuff is amazing and I find myself going back to it a lot
This brings me back to my youth-a dark time-which is still ongoing mentally. Brings a lot of tears, but oddly also comforting and soothing. Evanescence was a fantastic group back then and their music is just as beautiful today. Timeless classic.
The first time I heard this song ,,I literally dropped to my knees and started crying,,it brought back a flood of memories of my grandmother that had passed away a few years prior. It still brings a tear to my eye if I listen to the whole thing.
Any relationship can trap you in its memory - like ‘who am I without this?’ “Lightning Crashes” by Live hit me similarly. Amy Lee kills with the clarity of her vocals.
I just listened to your reaction to this song. I HAD to subscribe! A man who can express appreciation and understanding of the poetry, and dive deep… I truly am excited to see what else you’ve had up your sleeve!
I mustve listened to this song thousands of times over the years, and it STILL gives me chills. and its always fantastic to see someone getting to experience it for the first time. Especially someone deeply into music like you.
Evanescence was my first concert I went to and she performed it live and it was amazing. I appreciate you being open vulnerable in your review and analysis is this song. Sending you tons of love and glad things are looking up. Stay positive!
I love her voice in this one. You nailed it. Very haunting. Another haunting tune that she wrote when she was young is the song 'Hello' it was written in response to her younger sisters death. Tragically she drown when she was very young. It's very sad and again, very haunting. Definitely worth a listen. She never sings it during concerts. Understandably.
My mum died when I was 13, she was only 44. She loved Evanescence, this is my song to her. Love you my kind hearted mum Debbie 30 july 1962 - 9 January 2007 ❤
Lithium, Hi-Lo ft. Lindsey Stirling, Good Enough, Tourniquet, Taking Over Me All of these are amazing. Amy Lee also did a duet with Lizzy Hale called Break In, and her duet with Seether called Broken are really good too.
This song really touches the soul, no other way to put it. Back in the days it was the song they released when a band member (the one walking around in the video, in black) left the band because they had an argument about how to continue the project. It was written by the same band member, I believe, to deal with some grief and they chose to release it as a single and with a music video as a goodbye gift, honouring his song and feelings that way.
I got to see them in concert in September of 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. This was her closing song. The rest of the band exited the stage. It was just Amy Lee and her piano she said, "You guys sing this with me one more time for old times' sake. It was just all our voices and the piano as we sang my immortal with her. I will never forget that. It was so beautiful ❤
I've always thought that. I think it's the wiping away the tears that has always made me think that. like the two parents are both mourning the death of a child but aren't necessarily able to speak to each other about it.
I lost my baby brother 22 years ago, 2 years before My Immortal was released, and my mum has never been able to listen to this song without crying. It encapsulates the pain and grief of losing a close family member very well. I still sometimes cry when listening to this song.
@gregwhitworth I'm so sorry Greg 😢 I'm more than sure your angel had a blessed time in her life with you as her father. No words can truly express the loss of a child. Much love to you and your family❤
Me too, 2 little stillborn ones I never got to know, except inside of me when they moved. My daughter will be 26 on the 8th August, my son was 24 on the 8th April. Thinking of you ❤
You're a man with a big heart. I felt really bad for you at the end and I hope that every family member of yours will never get such health complications again
I Love this song so much, it hits your soul in ways we can't always easily explain. Amy is such a wonderful spiritually gifted soul depsite the trauma she has gone through. It helps us all connect. Came across your post at Random. Glad I did and sending positive vibes to your family! Your explanation of this song made me think in different ways too. Thank you!
Man, I was already holding back tears the entire song because it’s one of those songs that makes you feel things directly in your soul but when you started sharing about what you, your wife and you’re family went through. That hit me. 🥺 I love what you said about how although the song itself is sad, it’s also beautiful because even though it makes you think about certain moments in your life that you had to endure and overcome, it also makes you appreciate everything that’s good in your life, and cherish the time you’ve had and that you continue to have with your loved ones. ❤️ This was one of my favorite reactions of yours, Knox. Just the fact you allowed us inside during a vulnerable moment like that makes you a real one. ✊🏻 Much love and respect my guy.
OMG her voice is so hauntingly beautiful.. this song always gives me goosebumps... The relationship she sings about.... So Sorry to hear about your wife's scare but glad she's doing better.. were here for you❤.. This song is listened to in rehab in 2004.. Helped me through alot, going on 21 years sober now

Thank you for this reaction. I think you're very brave to share the story of what you and your wife went through earlier this year, and I'm truly glad to hear you guys are through the worst ❤ I was one of the many who requested this song on your Bring Me To Life reaction, and you're bang on - the song is absolutely about death. Since your previous Evanescence video, I lost a friend who was quite close to me suddenly. It was out of nowhere - mid-thirties, no previous health scares, messaging only the day before and then suddenly she was gone - so I'm not ashamed to admit I was welling up too. It speaks to how powerful music can be, and it's like you said - songs like this are immortal. Rest in peace, Carla. Again, thank you Knox - I needed this video and I'm glad you found something meaningful within it too. You guys look after yourselves ❤
Thank you for all your reactions Knox.
Hearing her voice nearly makes my eyes leak every time. Some are happiness, others not so much
I lose it everytime I heat this song. Both my parents have passed on due to cancer. And it's heartbreaking. After my mom passed away this song was a vital part of my healing process. My mom passed in 2015. The song was so beautifully done.
Heat?
@@BrandonWestfallThey obviously meant hear 😂
Hey Knox, thanks for opening yourself up there at the end, brother. Your honest, beating heart is the reason why you have this devoted crew with you, watching your channel and listening to your music. Very glad to hear your wife is doing better!
All of these years and this song always gets me 😭 thank you for doing this Knox and for sharing your feelings about it too. ❤️🙏🏻
this one hits on so many levels, lost relationships, lost loved ones, just all the bad stuff, i know it isnt that deep but its what i have always taken from it
Timeless song, never out of style because it will always be relatable.
Gets me too. Over crying and I’ve heard it a million times over the years lol.
The opening always gives me goosebumps
Everybody's Fool is one of my favorites, I would love to see his reaction to it.
Lithium is haunting
Going under gets my vote 👍
Going Under for sure. That music video is epic too.
There is something truly powerful in music - when it comes on your playlist, you pause, take a second and go ... "nah, not today". When the song is that hard hitting it can affect your mood for the day so you leave it for another day. That is a sign of a TIMELESS SONG.
This is so true.
This song does bring you to tears, and right at 3:01 when those guitsrs hit it just does something to you, like you feel all the pain and emotion on tha fret board. He played the hell out of that guitar.
Their entire Fallen album is incredible. One of the very few flawless (entire) albums out there.
I loved Fallen, but to me, the Origin demos are far more haunting, though.
Fallen is an amazing album. Captures my inner adolescent self. Takes me back. The nostalgia hits deep.
Love that album
Fallen probably saved my life in my mid teens. Multiple times.
To this day fallen is the only album I like all the songs on.
this was the song that was played at my sister's funeral when I was a kid, still makes me tear up to this day when I hear it ❤
Rip to your sister 💔
Sorry for your loss.
Peace & Love from Florida ❤️
@shelleywilczewski2932 thank you ❤️❤️
i also want to share my condolences
I’m so sorry for your loss.
"Even tho it's sad, there is also this beauty to it."
Yeah, I know exactly that feeling. My immortal has this power of just putting us in front of a mirror and making us see how vulnerable we can be, and that this doesn't necessarily is a bad thing. Almost realizing, embracing and loving to be human. Great song, great reaction and I wish you and your wife well!
She was part of a movement of really emotional rock from the nineties. Man, I miss that music style so much.
I know right ?
She‘s the ghost, she never touches the ground….. so angelically sad and powerful at the same time, still after all these years.
That song hits me every time I listen to it. So emotional!
The emotion and pain Amy conveys in Hello is heart wrenching. It is one of the most beautiful and sad songs I have ever heard😮
I lost my middle son to suicide two and a half years ago. You have no idea how many times I listened to this song and how many times it truly wrecked me. Absolutely gorgeous song. ❤
Sorry for your loss
“Plan for the worst, hope for the best” I hear that brother and Hope is an amazing thing. I’m glad you picked up on the poetry in her lyricism. One of the most incredibly written songs I’ve heard. Stay strong Mr and Mrs Knox ❤
Evanescence and Good Charlotte were a critical part of my healing and dealing with depression in my teenage years. I still listen to both bands!
Same here except i would add simple plan and slipknot
I love your comments because you are not visually affected like most of YT commentators. You feel lyrics, you can feel the message, vibration of the song and you experience it. Thx man. We love you.
One of my favourite songs of all time. Has sat with me since my teens. Very special and emotional. Sending 💜 your way Knox!
I am so glad you chose the “Band Version” of this song. This band helped me so much in high school. Glad you’re visiting/reviewing them.
The lyrics were written by the guitar player. It's about the pain he experienced after losing a close loved one. He actually quit the band right after making this video.
Also, Amy is supposed to be a spirit in the video. Notice how she's never touching the ground at all throughout the video.
Knox is the only one realized that detail thats why his the best reactor
I've been an Evanescence super fan for 20 years, my absolute all time favourite band, yet I didn't know about the ghost thing... huh. I guess while I really really like My Immortal, I've never been as crazy about it as most other fans. I do however know from the bts that the dress is actually pastel pink, and that video is shot in the gothic part of Barcelona, and one day I'll go walk on that fountain!
@@numbdark5894I know that was amazing! ❤
@@numbdark5894he is a good reactor , but don't be fool , he read the information before making a react video
@@armandovarela7782 Maybe. He could just be really intelligent and have a very broad spectrum of knowledge.
@@jimini1976 yeah my bad ^^
Cause I am. Love ya)
Can't go wrong with Amy Lee. Her voice is otherworldly
Hey Knox! She’s also bound by constraints(feet & hands).
Amy Lee's voice is nothing short of iconic and her lyrics have such poetry it's still giving people chills
Also Linsey Stirling and Amy Lee, love will go on and on is so good
Yes! All of these, especially call me when you’re sober 😊
Adding Hello and Everybody's Fool to the list
That whole album man... classic, epic. I still listen to it. Amy Lee's writing is amazing. When I was younger, this was just an amazing song I listen to. After my mom passed away from cancer in 2015, this is one of the songs that brings me comfort whenever the feeling of great loss visits me sometimes. I'm glad you and your wife are in a better space now and she's doing good. More power to you both!
“Though you’re still with me, I’ve been alone, so alone”. So much understanding by anyone who’s been deeply in love, and the other side was not anymore.
"Going Under" is one of my favorite songs from Evanescence.
This song is as beautiful and powerful today as it was 20 years ago. All the love to you and your family 🖤
Man I still cry when I hear this and I don't even know why I'm crying. It's just the emotion on her voice.
Every.
You are RIGHT .....
THIS song touches your heart ...
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL..!!!
She is so talented
Wish we could hear from her more. ..
Thanks Knox for listening to your followers and reacting to this song. And what an amazing, emotion filled reaction it was. I'm sorry to hear about your wife's health scare, but so happy that she's doing much better now. I'm so happy to see the best reactor listening to one of the most amazing songs ever.
My most fave song from Evanescence. It's hauntingly beautiful. Never gets old. 😌😌😌❤️❤️❤️
Lost my fiance to cancer last year, this song breaks me every time I hear it. I'm glad your wife was able to pull through. It's horrible having to watch the person you love suffer from this horrendous disease
Honestly, another emotional piece that's good for getting into your feels is "Hello." That one is beautiful (as is everything off of the album tbh; it's an amazing album)
Other good ones are Good Enough, Call Me When You're Sober, Lithium, and Lose Control ♡ idk, their older stuff is amazing and I find myself going back to it a lot
This brings me back to my youth-a dark time-which is still ongoing mentally. Brings a lot of tears, but oddly also comforting and soothing. Evanescence was a fantastic group back then and their music is just as beautiful today. Timeless classic.
KNOX!!!!! Creeping up on 1million!!!! Love your content and music. Excited for that next step for you
The first time I heard this song ,,I literally dropped to my knees and started crying,,it brought back a flood of memories of my grandmother that had passed away a few years prior. It still brings a tear to my eye if I listen to the whole thing.
Any relationship can trap you in its memory - like ‘who am I without this?’
“Lightning Crashes” by Live hit me similarly.
Amy Lee kills with the clarity of her vocals.
Would like to see Knox react to some Live
coming back to this timeless song, one can tell how good is by the times you've said "wow"
hoping for the best also your wife❤😢
More Evanescence! If you want to cry, Hello is heartbreaking. I would love to see Tourniquet and Whisper both are my favourite on this album!
Yes, yes, and yes to all three. Though there are elements of Tourniquet that I still prefer from the Soul Embraced version.
Lindsey Stirling, Good Enough, Tourniquet, Taking Over Me
All of these are amazing. Amy Lee also did a duet with Lizzy Hale called Break In, and her duet with Seether called Broken are really good too.
"You cant feel me, anymore.."
I literally can never listen to this song without crying... once you experience loosing someone important, this song just brings you back to it.
Now you gotta check out their song Goin Under! That track is full of intensity all throughout, and another of their most iconic songs
Now imagine listening to this song from the perspective of someone who has lost a child. Hits different, hits hard! 😥
Lost my 13 year old daughter to brain cancer, and this song crushes me as it's so true.
Thinking of you ❤
Keep going down the evanescence rabbit hole man! You won't be disappointed!
I agree wholeheartedly.
You're a man with a big heart. I felt really bad for you at the end and I hope that every family member of yours will never get such health complications again
The most beautiful rock ballad 💔 One of my favorite songs..when the drums drop....
I love what you said about how although the song itself is sad, it’s also beautiful because even though it makes you think about certain moments in your life that you had to endure and overcome, it also makes you appreciate everything that’s good in your life, and cherish the time you’ve had and that you continue to have with your loved ones.
Helped me through alot, going on 21 years sober now
Damn Knox, Listening to your reactions to songs like Daddy and this one, you have showed us a new side of you that we never saw before, which is you getting emotional, and I really appreciate it. This song hits so hard, thinking of someone close you may not have with you anymore but will be immortal in your mind and your heart.
Thank you for your videos dude, do know that I got mad respect for you!
I forgot about this song and I just lost my husband a couple years ago. I'm still crying 2 hours later, my guy. 💛 Good stuff.
Saw them in concert for the Fallen tour when it came out (2003). Hearing that song live, when the band comes in, is still engraved in my memories 20+ years later. That moment gave me CHILLS and still does every.single.time I hear it - a truly haunting and amazing song.
This song, Amy's voice, its all perfect. 20 years of listening and I love it just the same
Amy Lee is my favorite singer ever! Such an angelic voice. Great reaction!
Same, one of my favourite voices ever. If not the favourite.
Thank you for this reaction. I think you're very brave to share the story of what you and your wife went through earlier this year, and I'm truly glad to hear you guys are through the worst ❤
I was one of the many who requested this song on your Bring Me To Life reaction, and you're bang on - the song is absolutely about death.
You are the first reactor I’ve seen that’s picked up on the ghost thing and noticed her feet never touch the ground. Wonderful reaction!! ❤
I lost a brother at 6 and still miss and remember him today.. still hurts , but I also smile remembering the good times!
I got the ability to see them in concert with Korn, they were astonishing. I cried😂
I would suggest you watch the live version of this song, the one with millions of views, one of the best performances I've heard, especially the crowd
It is such a breathtaking song and I can't help but cry every time I listen to it... So glad you reacted to this my man
This is a master piece, and sung with amazing connection and talent, all outstanding. Which is why Amy Lee is always kept as a role model.
Thank you for all your reactions Knox. Your love and passion for music really shines through and I gain a new appreciation for these tracks, not just from a technical level, but also from an emotional one. I find the depth and breadth of your knowledge when it comes to music staggering and truly inspirational. My thoughts and well wishes are with you and your family, I can't imagine how tough it must have been this year. Here's to your soon-to-be 1Mil subscribers! 🎉🥳🎉
