Hey Chris, thanks for being a teacher. I recently had my car totaled and insurance payed about half the vehicle worth. (no I wasn't at fault) I ended up buying a 2001 civic ex that looked roughed up but drove smooth. Got home to realize the guy cleared the codes on the car and hid a lot of the issues. Ive spent days working on it with rented hand tools from Auto-zone and borrowing some from my brother in law. Ive had to take it to a mechanic for some stuff that was out of my depth but your videos are the best. I was always anxious about messing things up but seeing you do it with such clear instructions, amazing tips most people would forget to mention, and using hand tools has changed my perspective. The car has potential, nobody else can see it and they keep pushing me to sell it. I'm going to prove everyone wrong thanks to you though, even if i end up replacing every single inch of that car over the coming years. Right now I'm stuck just trying to afford to keep it in running condition, but I plan on making it my own. I haven't had any mechanical experience before a week ago but i replaced my entire suspension system already, replaced a fuel pump that went out on me while driving. The power steering pump is next and I'm sure you have a video covering that lol. I also have an interview for a service tech apprentice at my local Honda dealership tomorrow. Wish me luck! P.S.
I have an 05 Civic EX and I’m going through sort of the same thing. These days i rarely see 7th gen civics; I only see 6th gen or 8th gen and up. So just wanted to say good luck with the build it’ll be worth it

You are wise to share living space with family members as a way to manage costs. Sacrifices like these allow you the opportunity to run a self-employed business, and really make a contribution to the world. This is a lot more mature than most people your age. Hey guys, it's chrisfix here and I'm going to show you how to wash dishes with common hand tools. First your gunna need your soapy water, make sure you soak the dishes and scrub with a microfiber cloth, scrub in small circular motions and don't be afraid to get in there to the hard to reach spots. Next Make sure to thoroughly rinse off the dishes with your pressure washer. After you are done rinsing put all of the dishes on a car jack and sun dry for a couple hours. And would you look at that, your dishes are nice and clean! and all it took was a little soapy water, microfiber cloth, a pressure washer and a simple car jack (that you can find at most stores). With a little bit of elbow grease you too can have nice clean dishes.
I'm seeing this video after 5 years. I'm so sorry I didn't see it sooner always thought it was some big expensive job for the mechanics but I see that this can easily be done with any cars exhaust. Thank you Is this guy freaking Incredible or what?

I was never into cars but wanted to and couldnt get into it because the learning curve was too much. A few months ago i saw the flipping tutorial and i beeen hooked and becoming a car guy ever since. Bought my first car, a 2004 audi a3 and i have been working on it and learning more according to your tips. Thanks bro
Hay Chris, even tho this is 3 year old video it helped me, I bought a new stainless exhaust with a high flow cat and installed it with the tips you had in the video! Thanks :)
I'm a 47 year old female high school teacher that knows very little about cars. I watched this video because I was interested in getting this done to my 2013 convertible mustang. After watching Chris install this, I can't wait to get this done to my old lady mustang. ❤😅
Hey Chris since you have a 4.6 from 96-98 i would suggest doing a pi head and intake plenum swap you gain around 50-60 hp i believe plus you can change out the cams at the same time and get close to 75-90 i think.
Chanston Cochran im not really good at this stuff but wouldn't a ecu flash add a whole load of horsepower without modding anything? i have a volkswagen touareg v6 tdi 2005 amd its supposed to have around 245hp but i see loads of places saying that after an ecu it should get to around 290 ish but since the car is probably not at 245 and rather more along the like of max 170 it should get around 260 if i change the exhaust also.
ChrisFix: Cuts off exhaust and listens to the sound straight from the engine. Also ChrisFix: Only films that clip from the INSIDE of the car. Perfect outside ambience moment wasted. Lol That's okay though, the rest of the video is top notch. ... I'll forgive you this one time. Lol
:o sorry for ruining it the replies are like ChrisFix: :o 3 months ago The another person: :o 1 week ago Another person: :o 1 week ago then somebody else: :o 1 day ago then me 1 second ago
My Mustang friends tell me that if you put on new exhaust headers like those from the Cobra engine you'll gain 10s of horsepower instead of just 10. I hear swapping out the actual intake manifold to the Cobra version can add a lot as well. Look forward to seeing the performance intake install.
Ah, well that's a bummer! In that case my friend says to get the PI heads, PI intake, new headers, and he can make 300+ easy. That's still a lot of work and money though! :'(

dude, the straight pipe sounded amazing, so unforunate we have to mess up that sound with cat's and mufflers, but still sounded amazing with the preformance exhaust

Sir,you desesrve a million dollars,i mean look at the quality of these videos.I learned so much from just watching them.
I’ve been a mechanic for 15 years and this is my first time seeing an extending ratchet. I like it.
My mechanic said not to watch Chrisfix.
I fired him.
Lol :v
Promoted to customer.
F..k your mechanic
Mechanics don’t like crisfix because he teaches people how to do things themselves and they want to charge people $1,000s for things that take acouple hours
Lol

+Jonathan warren hahahahaha
ChrisFix I love your videos man! Your more reliable than the mechanics in my area!! Plus you give me hope that I'm mechanically capable.
Haha.....too funny...
Goooood!!
HILARIOUS!
I'm seeing this video after 5 years. I'm so sorry I didn't see it sooner always thought it was some big expensive job for the mechanics but I see that this can easily be done with any cars exhaust.
Thank you
Is this guy freaking Incredible or what?
These older mustangs are for sure my favorite

This is honestly a lot easier than I expected. It’s literally chopping the old exaust and fitting the new one in like a puzzle. Neat. @ChrisFix
You can do that to most of the car too. It’s just more puzzle peaces
Well after five years, I did it. My tuck sounds amazing! Thanks Chris!
Lmao. Chris revs engine with open headers mom comes out "ok that's enough"😂 seems like someone is scarier then the neighbors.

Thanks! I have the PI intake going in soon!
DOPE! You won't regret doing it bro. My 94 Tbird evolved with the PI heads and intake.
That's a hella big jump in power for a modest modification.
Chanston Cochran I might just get a Tbird for that reason
Chanston Cochran im not really good at this stuff but wouldn't a ecu flash add a whole load of horsepower without modding anything? i have a volkswagen touareg v6 tdi 2005 amd its supposed to have around 245hp but i see loads of places saying that after an ecu it should get to around 290 ish but since the car is probably not at 245 and rather more along the like of max 170 it should get around 260 if i change the exhaust also.
We need Chris Fix bloopers!!! You're videos are awesome, but they're too perfect! You have to mess up sometimes!
haha, the bloopers would be longer than the video!
Edit them too
Andrew nothing wrong with perfection.
ChrisFix: Cuts off exhaust and listens to the sound straight from the engine.
Also ChrisFix: Only films that clip from the INSIDE of the car.
Perfect outside ambience moment wasted. Lol That's okay though, the rest of the video is top notch.

Just got my dual exhaust for my 98’ stang. Hearing yours makes me so excited to put it on!
My Mustang friends tell me that if you put on new exhaust headers like those from the Cobra engine you'll gain 10s of horsepower instead of just 10. I hear swapping out the actual intake manifold to the Cobra version can add a lot as well. Look forward to seeing the performance intake install.
802 Garage Good suggestions, but he doesn't have a 302.
RU1NER Oh. What engine is it?
4.6 sohc modular. Pretty much a crown vic engine, not an insult just a fact.
Ah, well that's a bummer! In that case my friend says to get the PI heads, PI intake, new headers, and he can make 300+ easy. That's still a lot of work and money though! :'(
gt40 intake from a 1996 explorer will be the same plus u can get the gt40 heads too, almos tthe same as the pi stuff
