I very much appreciate all the extra work you do to make our enjoyment of the trip as close to yours as possible. Climbing hills and rocks, walking or paddling back to get the camera after getting a shot or buying and flying and portaging a drone to enhance your videos scenery often go unrecognized. Well, I’m here to tell ya, I recognize it 👍🏻 Thank you
Thanks soo much Alan! I appreciate you for watching everything and following along! You’re always there in the comments! I appreciate it! Thanks for the support!😁
Jolly good show, I can't wait to take my kayak out and camp. thanks for the Inspiration !! I'm ready to go. And I was born in HOLLAND !! My ancestors were Dutch Explorers !! and I've been camping for 35 years, I love it !!
I have to say that I think I would have run that class 3 as well, if for no other reason than to be able to say I did it, wet or dry. Fantastic episode this week and look forward to the next. Thanks for your hard work, we appreciate it✌
I'm loving this series! And it really seems like you're in one of those places on earth that are truly sacred, where the spirits of nature still reside. Thanks for sharing your reverence of it.
You are spot on with that comment! That is exactly how I feel. It is about as pure as it can get out there and it feels incredible to be travelling through and getting to experience that. Thank you!
Real nice video: music, drone story telling, enthusiasm , visually pleasing wide views, First Nation respect, I enjoyed very much. I think your best so far. Thank you for the time and effort.
Wow, thanks!! I do try to improve a bit every time I’m out and am learning a ton as I’m doing this. This goes for my outdoor skills as well as my videography. I appreciate it Bruce, thanks!
Great video yet again sir. This gets me so pumped as I'm flying into Donald Lake in WCPP next week 🤗 Your first WCPP trip series really got me to pull the trigger after about 15 years of dreaming about it. Thanks for all the inspiration!
That is great to hear! You are very welcome! Enjoy your time there! Donald has incredible Walleye fishing and don’t forget to go see the waterfalls at the north west side of Donald!
I just found your site from a recommendation from another UA-camr. I am really enjoying it, as many years ago my husband and I did many canoe trips in Northern Ontario. Killarney and Quetico were our favourites. I am in awe that you can do such a long trip solo. You must be very content and at peace with yourself as company!
Amazing! Quetico is one of the places I haven’t been to yet! I’m sure I will some day! The long solo travel for me is incredible. It is hard to even compare to traveling with someone. I do like traveling with others too but alone I feel soo much more in tune with my surroundings. It is like all your senses intensify. It is also nice to never even have to think about what someone else might want to do or feel like. I love every second of it! Thanks for tuning in!
Wow, the views are second to none. And as a solo canoer myself, I totally get what you're saying about running rapids. Even simple class one rapids are a thrill when you're solo in the middle of nowhere. Im not sure I would have ran that last one though. Bit big for me since im not really a whitewater guy and not much experience yet but like you said; when you weigh out the risk and know its not life threatening or chance of pinning, than why not. Can't wait for the next one.
Thats what I thought😁👍 everyone is going to have their own judgement and make their own choices. Thats one of the things I like about solo travel, every choice I make put there is 100% uninfluenced by anyone else, my own. Looking back and seeing myself run the rapids is also a huge learning curve! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼
@@The-Dutch-Explorer yup. When re-watching my own videos I'm telling myself; I should of went over here, or what's that over in the bay that I just paddled by? Or in minor rapids; I'd say I can totally see the line now, why didn't I see it then!? LOL! Hindsight is 20/20 they say. But you're right; if you never try stuff like that, you'll never learn. But the greatest feeling is being one with nature. I haven't done more than a week solo yet but hopefully next year I'm planning a two week trip. Seems to take about 3 or 4 days for it to start sinking in and your body naturally goes into that, "this is life now" stage. After that, life is suddenly better.
Really enjoy all your videos!! Reminds me of my younger days canoeing in northern Ontario. Question: Is that a Helinox chair?? I have one but should have bought the mesh version to prevent sweating.
Pretty close! This one is the Trekology version. I like it though I’m not sure if the newer models have adjustable legs like mine does. It really helps in rocky uneven terrain to have 3 different height settings for each individual leg! Thanks for watching Ralph!
From what I remember it was still mostly green. About campsites I cant say much I’m afraid. It was too early in the day for me to check out the sites. I don’t think it is burnt. Thanks!🙂
The first while I didn’t cause I rather eat whats in my barrel and lighten the load a bit. And also with a fireban on during the entire length of my trip the dehydrated meals are extremely fuel efficient as I only have to boil water for them. Prepared to be out for a month I gotta watch how quick I burn through my recourses. I do love eating fish and without fireban would have eaten more. And then the few times I did want to I couldnt catch them😅
Those pictographs are awesome.
Very good 👍🏻
They really are! Thanks Ray!

Thats amazing! Yeah I truly believe we Dutch people have that urge to explore and see new (to us) places! Thanks for watching!😁

Top yoga momentje 😂
Amazing buddy. How burned was Simeon? Any usable campsites?
From what I remember it was still mostly green. About campsites I cant say much I’m afraid. It was too early in the day for me to check out the sites. I don’t think it is burnt. Thanks!🙂
Enjoying the series, but can't understand why you don't keep and cook some pickerel for dinner?

That last boreal yoga position was the rock snake
Lol! I’ll remember that for next time!😂
