    Daghan salamat doc. Gapaminaw ko perme sa imo.. I just had my blood chem 2days ago. It's perfect FBS at 94 and LDL, HDL etc values are perfect. I started LCIF August. But my HBAIC is still at 6.3%. perhaps by Feb it can go down less than 6.

      Our body only needs about 2 tsp of sugar in a day and it can actually come from the 20g/day net carbs from our daily meal (which we can get from the veggies).

    I think medyo confusing nga para sa inyo ang sinasabi ni Doc Jo dahil highly technical ang kinukwento niya. Im not a doctor, Engineer po ako, pero naiintindihan ko sinasabi niya at walang confusion. Ang sabi nya, although eating oatmeal and ftuits in particular cannot directly raised blood sugar kasi nga fructose ( fruit source) not sucrose ( table sugar), yet on the long run can enhance diabetic damage to our body just like what happened to her father who died of liver cancer. Paanong nangyari eh closely monitor naman ang blood sugar? Kahit daw mababa ang blood sugar pero with the presence of extra carbohydrates in the body, the body will react to raise the level of insulin para ma utilize ang carbo into fuel for energy usage. Ang punto ni Dok kasi eh base sa kanyang previous explanations, akyat-baba, akyat-baba ng "INSULIN" level sa dugo ang objectionable dahil ito ay isang anabolic hormone at kapag sumobra ito sa pangangailangan ng katawan ito ay nagiging lason at nagdudulot ng mga "INFLAMMATION" o pamamaga sa katawan tulad ng arthritis, liver damage, Alzheimer, allergic reactions at iba pa. Kaya kahit controlled o nakatali ang blood sugar sa normal level at nagkaroon pa ng pamamaga sa katawan, ibig sabihin ay palaging mataas ang level ng insulin hormone sa dugo dahil sa kakakain ng oatmeal at ng mga prutas.

    Confusing, kayo lng po nagsabi na nakakapagpalala ng diabetes. Ung husband ko may pre diabetic, since na diagnose sya, oatmeal,brown rice,ampalaya,etc kinakain nya. Ngaun normal blood sugar nya. Bawas na maintenance.

      Un nga din po eh.. I just watched a documentary on Netflix titled WHAT THE Health and yung mga doctors and experts dun na interview even says na ung sugar daw is not the reason why people have diabetes or pag eating ng carbs is bad but they say na eating meat is actually ung reason why people can't control their sugar or kung baket nagkakaroon ng diabetes ang isang tao... Kasi daw meat has a lot of fats that traps the sugar in blood imbes na dapat puma pasok eto sa mga receptors ng katawan.

      Tama, hindi lahat ng info sa internet accurate. Sometimes they are just promoting their own products... Ako mtagal ng kumakain ng oatmeal, banana, konting rice, wheat bread, less red meat pero normal pdin ang blood sugar, creatinine, trigliceride at my age of 67. My food supplements; malunggay, turmeric, Omega-3 and magnesium. 😁🥰 importante exercise (walking) and morning sunlight (vit D)

    Doc. I'm consuming oatmeal the instant oatmeal variety. Still my blood glucose level falls in the so-called prediabetis category... By the way I paired my instant oatmeal breakfast with 1pc. hard boiled egg.. it's almost one year now that oatmeal is my daily breakfast.

    If you love eating oatmeal, there are ways to enjoy it with less of a spike. Consider upgrading from rolled and instant oats to steel-cut oats or oat groats. Groats are whole oat kernels-only the inedible outer hull has been removed. They also take the longest to cook of any type of oats. Both groats and steel-cut oats are minimally processed and have an intact fiber-rich bran layer, which means your body digests them more slowly, and therefore your blood glucose will likely rise more slowly, too. But remember, glycemic response is highly individual, so while this simple swap may make a difference for some, steel-cut oats, despite their relatively higher fiber content and lower glycemic index compared to rolled or instant oats.

    Every morning ito ang breakfast nila bakit hinde sila nag kasakit umabot pa nang 103 yong iba 90 May Ron akong alaga dito kasi yong trabaho ko monday to Thursday lang at nag Tara baho ako Saturday at Sunday ang pag kain nila everyday outmel at lagyan pa nang mga frutas strawberries , banana at iba pa

    Ang kakainin na pwede sa OATS is yong STEEL CUT and ROLLED only... due to slow digesrion ... NOT YONG INSTANT OATMEAL... na magpa spuke ng blood gluxose due to quick digestion or HIGH G.I.

      True.. eh anong pagkain pwedeng pampalit sa kanin kung hindi pwede ang oatmeal para bumaba ang sugar.. si doc Ong pwede naman daw oatmeal.. sa kanya naman Hindi..
