I've known Gary since I was a kid. Growing up, we went to the same school-La Salle Greenhills -, were batchmates and lived in the same village where our school was located. Though I haven't spoken to Gary in years it is clear that fame has not changed him. He is still the same down to earth and humble (and hyper!) person I've known. Gary continues to inspire us with his music and perhaps more importantly, with his faith. More power to Gary V. and to you as well, Ogie, for this wonderful interview. May you both be blessed for all the good things you do!

When your blood sugar goes below 70, you will not feel good, feel weak. I cried as I watched this interview when he felt his blood sugar was going low. I know how it is to have a low blood sugar, sana pinapahinga muna siya dahil nakapanghihina talaga. But that is him. Gary is very humble and Angeli is a very supportive and loving wife. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo idol.

I beg to disagree. If you keep listening and watching REAL artists perform, you will know na mayroon nang nakapantay at humigit sa mga bagay na nagawa niya. (I will not say the name of the group/person who did pero MAYROON NA. You can't deny it.) However, his legacy as an OPM artist will always remain in the hearts of Pinoys who idolized him.

I am part of a Type 1 diabetic group. Gary V made time to meet the kids, sang with them and share his journey with diabetes. As a type 1 diabetic, I completely understand where he is coming from. Nakakatakot talaga pag atakihin ka ng low blood sugar sa tulog mo. Naranasan ko nang mawalan ng malay dahil doon. Even when you do your best with your diabetes, minsan talaga you randomly get low or high blood sugar. Minsan nawawalan ako ng motivation para gawin ang tama, kasi nagdadialysis din ako pero thanks to my family, friend, dogs and with Gary V as my inspiration not just as a fellow diabetic but also as a human being. Thank you so much for reminding me to never give up and God loves us. Thank you po talaga

First time ko nakita si Gary V ay noong early 80’s sa Villa Escudero kasama si Ms Angelie. Kinantahan pa nya kami noon. Since then ay naging number 1 fan na nya ako. I am 55 now and still kilig kapag kumakanta sya. 3 times ko na rin napanood ang concert nya dito sa Toronto. He is the best ! I am praying for his good health and long life. ❤

The first concert I’ve ever watched was a Gary V concert back in 1985 or 86... I was 5 or 6? Sa Araullo gym in Cabanatuan City (Nueva Ecija)... i’m not sure kung nagkataon o sadyang alam ng mga tito at tita ko where they will have dinner after the show... we went to this restaurant at katabing table namin sila and he was nice to say hi... sobrang bait. Pwede naman na deadmahin niya kami... specially my cousin and I, dahil mga bata kami. Tumatak sa akin yun, kaya this man is so blessed dahil sobrang bait... more power to you Mr. Pure Energy, Gary V! Then , college years still watched your concert. Save my allowance so I can watch your concert. Now, that I’m on my 50’s and live here in the United States for more than three decades still watched your concert . I even saw you in ASAP and make sure to have a photo with you , even hug you . Siguro nga sa bawat episode may mga guest po kayong nakaka pukaw sa realization ng isang tao. Sa sinabi po ni Sir Gary na gusto niya pa pong makita yung apo niya from his youngest, napa isip ako. I’ve been pushing away to start working out and my other bad habits that cause my health to degenerate. I think this is the time. My first live concert that I have attended was when Gary V had a concert in General Santos at the Bernabe Coliseum during his "Shout For Joy" years. I was so happy because during the closing segment he gave shirts from sponsors and he threw one at me. I was so happy and lucky. Now, if you will ask me, I will still watch Gary V's concert if he only sings ballad, OPM and movie theme songs. And also sing songs from other artists with his rendition. Kahit naman nakatayo o nakaupo lang si Sir Gary sa concert may pure energy parin sa venue.

I cried watching this interview kasi sobrang mahal ko si Gary V, nang nalaman ko na magcoconcert sya sa UPLB, I cross-stitched a throw pillow for him with a letter G which later on I learned from my bestfriend na si Gab ang gumagamit sa Community of Learners! August 6, birthday nya and sa kagustuhan kong makabirthday nya anak ko, August 1 pa lang lakad na ako ng lakad! Kaya lang August 19 ako nanganak! I have watched his concerts in Music Museum, sayang I can’t watch this concert in April, I will pray mag concert sya dito sa US! God will bless you more Mr Pure Energy!

Una una kung nakita si Gary V nung nasa Channel 7 pa sya in the 80s pa yun...sa palabas ni kuya Germs ..pero bago ko sya nakita in person na nag pe perform sa TV...hangang hanga na ako talaga sa kanyang boses at sa mga awit nya....
