Yessss I love that scene. Flash is one of my favorite characters and when he has actual depth he's always a super interesting character, and that scene was the best Flash scene we've had in a Spider-Man movie

I’m SO overjoyed that someone else liked that Peter isn’t a do-gooder dweeb that immediately and unrealistically learns his lesson in responsibility. He’s a teenager. Teenagers are selfish and make mistakes before learning from them. Andrew was absolutely exceptional. His characterisation develops beautifully. The bridge scene is just perfect Spider-Man depiction and the perfect time to THEN learn responsibility. Not straight away, but after he does something for the sake of someone else out of lack of choice to do so, morally.
The thing that’s funny about this, is that Early Lee/Ditko Pete was a sullen, loner teen. He did a lot of stuff for the wrong reasons, and had quite the temper. The fun thing about early ASM, is that you can see him grow up and change.
Exactly! Agree with all he points. The shots were Peter is sat in his bedroom, the only light is coming from outside and he's is just looking down at his mask, the symbol of spiderman: He's just realising he can do so much more then using his powers for a personal reason like revenge - he can utilize his gifts and image to do and become something greater. I love this film so much. The grounded takes works well, for th first half of the film anyway, because the moment of realisation, is when the film becomes s superhero movie, all about taking down the "villain"
*xokireiキレイ* That’s literally exactly what Tobey’s Spider-Man was doing as well, using his powers to make money and impress MJ. And it’s the same with a lot of other heroes but the thing is that they all have some tragedy the they’re responsible for or some other personal reason for using their powers to help people. Batman doesn’t actually have powers but he still suffered the tragedy of having his parents killed in front of him, Peter indirectly caused the death of his own uncle and most other heroes are also trying to keep some promise to their loved ones or something along those lines. The fact that you’d just use your powers for self gain is just because you have no motivation not to because you don’t have anything to feel guilty about.
I definitely agree but the main criticism i have of how they did this was that they played it off as heroic and a big grand moment when he was becoming spiderman for revenge purposes rather than when he learned what it meant to be responsible He shouldnt make the new suit and have the big heroic musical queue right as hes becoming spiderman for the sole purpose of killing uncle bens killer, that stuff should happen right after the bridge scene when he finally tries to be a hero

I actually think the movie would be great with your tiny changes. They aren’t even big changes it’s just the fact that there’s no skateboards and the third act is so much better without the rest of the lizards. Plus Kurt’s family is an awesome inclusion as well.
Two things: Pete doesn’t make the suit until after the bridge scene, because that’s when his character has earned the mantle, and Jack is the one who first calls him Spider-Man (the makeshift suit would be more spider-themed in this REwrite)
The cranes were dumb in the first movie, but it would be even more contrived if in a city of about 10 million, the one crane driver who owes Spidey a favour just so happens to be there - a movie has to earn that kind of magic and I don’t think this one does
8:53 that was me with Tom Holland in civil war. I was waiting for him to say the line but when he said the other thing the words just clicked it made sense to me. He’s Spider-Man because of how guilty he feels for not doing anything
Not only did this make me excited for future spider man movies to hopefully do something like this, but it also turned my view of the first film around. Outstanding work troyo
Y'know, Peter in the 60s was pretty selfish and even kinda unlikable at first. He constantly belittled his not-as-smart classmates in his mind, and he tried to join the Fantastic Four because he wants money and thinks they pay. He was a hero, but he was still a moody, loner teenager. So this version of Peter wasn't so far off after all.
I love how they design The Lizard, because when I first saw the Movie, He looked so F**king Terrifying, and I honestly love it, although, I wish that they gave him his lab coat and clothes, but whatever.
I like your inclusion of doc ock before he would even start to become the villain. It reminds me of the spectacular spiderman where pretty much all of the villains were characters from the first few episodes before their origin story even happened
Minute 7:32 Billy is there and Connors tries to lift him in his excitement, and he obviously can't, so he just hugs him, making it clear the decisions he is making is for his family not for himself
The only small change I’d make is that Peter doesn’t get the suit until the bridge scene. He’s making it but it’s only finished by the time he has dinner with the Stacy’s so he packs it in his bag or something and puts it on for the first time on the bridge. Just to give that extra visual cue of "okay, now he’s really Spider-Man" Anyway, great video ! Loved it.
in these movies Peter Parker orders Web pellets from Oscorp to use in his Web Shooters, but I guess that means anyone can just orders a bunch of them. I wonder what happens when they go out of stalk.
Tbh, I think Sony should continue off the Amazing Movies (like they were going to do) and say Venom is in that universe, instead of rebooting him a 4th time because we don't need a reboot, Sony proved that they have got better at making Spidey movies (Into the Spider-verse), so I believe they can fix the Amazing series, but hey that's just my Opinion
A beaten up old spider-man years after the death of Gwen(and possibly in a very dysfunctional relationship with Felicia Hardy(aka black cat)) fighting a similar aged Eddie Brock who is in the middle of trying to restore his own relationship. SM would be overly aggressive and hostile towards Venom until Peter starts to see himself in Eddie and realizes that maybe the symbiote isn't the enemy similar to the original lethal protector story. That is the movie I have wanted for years.
Sony animation ain’t the same as Sony live action. Actually usually both suck hard, Spiderverse being a VERY lucky shot. I guarantee whatever Spider-Man movies come out in the next few years are bound to suck under Sony (Not that Disney has proven to do any better). Also, Andrew got bad blood with the studio after they fired him before even cancelling the franchise, doubt he’ll accept to go back through all the bullshit Sony put him up to.
The point was of Jack's father being the only person to help, instead of all the operators. Just like the rest of the scene, he kept the core of it but simplified it
i liked the film too and I agree with basically everything except his revenge, it should have been framed as more he stops bad guys but doesn't help those in need until we get to the dinner scene and the bridge scene, he realises he can't help people until he actually helps them, but all in all a great rewrite to film that I already liked
The more I look at the suit of this spider man, the more I love it... Like the texture, the spider that goes all the way down to his legs, the eyes looking like a more Modern version of Spiderman (Modern as in, most newer spiderman games have smaller eyes)
I think having him turn everyone into lizards is great cause its a good thing from his view when hE became a lizard he realized how much better it was than being human it shows that hes tryna help people in his own wierd way
These older videos are always fun to come back to. Also talk about whatever you want to. I subscribed for the style and to hear your thoughts not just for the superhero related stuff.
Can't wait for the tasm 2 rewrite!! One thing that i really want to see is that one kid with glasses be replaced with Miles, i feel like that kid didn't add that much to the story and i think that replacing him with Miles would make more sense and be comic accurate. I would like to see a scene completely different from what we got in the tasm 2 final scene. Maybe Miles going to save someone caught in the rhino battle and getting in danger by doing the right thing. And it's at that moment where Peter arrives and saves Miles and the others from whatever attack rhino did. And Peter would take a look at Miles and say "good to see you again, Miles ! Let me tell you that you'll be a good spiderman" and then swings away to battle the rhino.
I think in that scene where the kid with the glasses being bullied because of the wing turbine should be miles doing a spiderman cosplay but since the city hates spiderman for not being able to save that person or something, miles ends up being bullied for cosplaying but spider-man goes there and saves him, an idea I saw in Lewis films
Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Does whatever a spider can! His new reboot was real fly! To bad because of Sony and Disney it had to die! Oh well we still got Spider-Verse! And we can enjoy a what if were Spidey won't be at his worse!
the bridge scene was the first time peter actually said that he was spiderman. he previously didnt call himself that until he became a hero by saving jack.
One of the things that made the bridge scene in the first Raimi Spidey work well is that he was in the process of saving a bunch of kids and their supervisor as well as the girl in her PJs from the guy who simply threw bombs everywhere.
It's thé best ultimate Spider-Man yeah because more edgy Peter is like ultimate Younger but. Stil old aunt may uncle ben and it's definitly a better ultimate adaptaipn beter then thé Disney xd ultimate Spider-Man show 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😃🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
Realistically, people that skateboard been seen as cool. They’re mostly loners or rejected. Also a lot of people who like skateboarding also like photography. So I mean, it’s a good fit for the modern take on the character. I understand the backlash but it does make sense in the real world.
I can't stop thinking about the fact that the Lizard is basically a metaphor for domestic violence and this movie focus a lot on Peter's parents. They could have been bold and make Richard Parker an abusive father, witch make Peter become a bit of prick later on his life
Feeling abandoned by your parents in youth may mess up with your social skills, mainly because some kids might comment on it all the time and you seeing them with their parents may trigger some envy in there. My girlfriend just started changing this with therapy and even so, only after reaching adulthood. And even now with almost 24, she's still not very "socially functional".
My favorite seen in this movie is when Peter walks into Oscorp and sees the hologram picture of Norman and it made me so excited when I first saw it because in my mind it was foreshadowing a villain for another movie. Then they ruined it in ASM2
19:35 "Peter looks up to see the person operating the crane... it's Jack's father, *the man behind the slaughter* ... I don't know why I thought of this.
uHm there was actually a lot of deleted scenes, that humanised Kurtis Connors. That didn't show him as a villian, but as a person with conflicts. Frickin producers.
one small thing the reason connors tested himself is because he would rather test on himself than other people that could be harmed it isn't brought across well in the movie like some other things but thats the reason y Great video tho, glad im not the only person with a guilty pleasure for this movie (actually i also do with tasm2 dont kill me)
While I was watching this video and peter pulled off the mask for the kid I got chills. That’s how good that scene is. That scene is one of the best spider-man scenes.
Fun Fact Everyone in the comic uncle Ben never told Peter with great power comes great responsibility it was a realization Peter learn after uncle Ben death it was a changed in media adaption of spider man so based on this fact it seems like the amazing spider man movie actually the first live action movie that did it right but people seem to hate those movie but ramii Triogly got it wrong but people love what kinda world do I live in
@Rexes Avenger I guess that's your opinion. For instance I love the light colour scheme and big eyes. But in my eyes making spider-man dark and edgy looking is just pretty dumb. Also why is the suit so detailed. I know it sounds weird but why does every little piece have a different and complicated pattern. And don't get me started on the stupid yellow eyes.
9:39 I disagree with this and think this should’ve been changed because I find it dumb why Ben jumped after the gun when the guy wasn’t doing anything with the gun. It literally just dropped as he was stumbling. Sure if he was pointing it at peter and before peter could easily have dodged it Ben could’ve protected him then got shot. Would’ve had a greater impact imo.
But it does fit more with bens character. He isn’t the kind of person to let that go and potentially get someone else killed. I think it’s great he made the opposite choice to Peter. But due to not having powers he paid the price.
Joseph Joestar but peter didn’t know he had a gun. Idk it’s hard for me to feel bad for bens death in this movie because I just feel that situation was so abrupt and didn’t make sense to me. In the raimi movie you feel sad for uncle Ben when he dies because of how kind and innocent he was. He didn’t get himself killed it just happened (apparently by accident since Spider-Man 3 showed that Sandman did it by accident). My thing is this uncle Ben trying to stop a guy from picking up a gun he dropped is dumb. It may fit his character but it just doesn’t make sense since he dropped it by accident he wasn’t hurting anyone. Like what would’ve Ben done if he got the gun from him? Just my opinion thi
Didn’t even think about that, the personality he has feels a lot like people I knew in high school, that’s pretty dope. And that facts about how peter was always good looking in the comics too, I hate when people bring that up about this movie 😭😭
I wrote this comment 15 hours before the video's premiere. I loved this movie way more than that trilogy that came before it: 1. the suit was better. 2. Gwen Stacy. 3. before the death of Ben Peter reminded me of my highschool self (in a twisted way). 4. the lizard made complete sense to me. 5. the bridge scene and how it changed Peter's point of view of what it means to be Spider-Man. 6. (probably should have wrote this before 5) Peter bullied his bully made sense because over 70% of highschool students would have done it if they got powers, *and* it is what lead to the death of Ben. 7. like it or not, the Octopus plot of the Spider-Man Ps4 is based on this movie. 8. the way Gwen's father put a mirror in front of Peter on what Spider-Man really stood for before the previously mentioned bridge scene and how it was a perfect build up to that scene. ok, I think I am done, my next comment will be written after watching the video. I like to think that if the second movie was different it could setup the plot of the PS4 game. just imagine if PS4 Spider-Man was actually The Amazing Spider-Man 8 years after the first movie, that would be amazing.

@@lorraineragin5001 what’d I do? I was tryna be sarcastic about it. My bad if it didn’t translate. I do think SM3 has the best Stan cameo, but of course other people can disagree. Sorry if I didn’t get the joke across, my bad
Perfection! I love how you still kept parts of the movie and elements of it that make it interesting.
The cranes were dumb in the first movie, but it would be even more contrived if in a city of about 10 million, the one crane driver who owes Spidey a favour just so happens to be there - a movie has to earn that kind of magic and I don’t think this one does
Please amazing spider man 2 rewrite! like if u agree
He said he would
8:53 that was me with Tom Holland in civil war. I was waiting for him to say the line but when he said the other thing the words just clicked it made sense to me. He’s Spider-Man because of how guilty he feels for not doing anything
When he said no one would get the life of pi joke:
I GOT IT I got that reference.
Cap: And I got your got that reference :D
Not only did this make me excited for future spider man movies to hopefully do something like this, but it also turned my view of the first film around. Outstanding work troyo
This rewrite was..
AMAZING.
7:17
Oh I get it..
Inside my head:what the fuck is he talking about?
Y'know, Peter in the 60s was pretty selfish and even kinda unlikable at first. He constantly belittled his not-as-smart classmates in his mind, and he tried to join the Fantastic Four because he wants money and thinks they pay. He was a hero, but he was still a moody, loner teenager. So this version of Peter wasn't so far off after all.
God this rewrite is so good. Love your videos man
Personally I loved Amazing Spider-Man 1. It seemed to follow the modern comics the best in my opinion. No cheese lol
I FINALLY got the joke. Richard Parker is the name of the tiger. Clever.
I love how they design The Lizard, because when I first saw the Movie, He looked so F**king Terrifying, and I honestly love it, although, I wish that they gave him his lab coat and clothes, but whatever.
I'm 14 and Amazing spiderman(plus spectacular spiderman) is just complete nostalgia for me.
I like your inclusion of doc ock before he would even start to become the villain. It reminds me of the spectacular spiderman where pretty much all of the villains were characters from the first few episodes before their origin story even happened
"He's the son of the Tiger from Life of Pi" fucking sent me.
I like the idea of the lizard being treated like a monster, instead of a generic villain.
Just to give that extra visual cue of "okay, now he’s really Spider-Man"
Anyway, great video ! Loved it.
You just made my favorite Spider-Man film even better! Can’t wait to see what you do for Amazing Spider-Man 2!
He changed the thumbnail usually when UA-camrs do that it usually means something is coming up.
Probably tasm2 rewrite!
in these movies Peter Parker orders Web pellets from Oscorp to use in his Web Shooters, but I guess that means anyone can just orders a bunch of them. I wonder what happens when they go out of stalk.
I actually love The Amazing Spider-Man movies. They're really underrated in my opinion.
16:20 This is a PERFECT understanding of the Lizard I hate when they give him a grand plan.
I'd love that, but sadly it's unlikely.
@@commanderspyder5432 not really
Same here
A beaten up old spider-man years after the death of Gwen(and possibly in a very dysfunctional relationship with Felicia Hardy(aka black cat)) fighting a similar aged Eddie Brock who is in the middle of trying to restore his own relationship.
Really good but you didn’t realize that the crane operator was Jacks dad? That’s why he told the crew to move their booms. It wasn’t a random person
YESSS!!! I've been waiting for someone to do a video like this, I can't wait bro 👍
Nando V Movies level of rewriting here, well done.
5:23 a wise man once said
“That’s not low, that’s clever.”
Spider-Man! Spider-Man!
Does whatever a spider can!
His new reboot was real fly!
To bad because of Sony and Disney it had to die!
Oh well we still got Spider-Verse!
And we can enjoy a what if were Spidey won't be at his worse!
At this pont if im cofteint that their going to fuck up one way or another becuse to be a spider man cnmaitc vese would be a really REALLY BAD IDEA

the bridge scene was the first time peter actually said that he was spiderman. he previously didnt call himself that until he became a hero by saving jack.
Bro u barley changed this shows how this was close to being so good
in some ways it was good
Amit Barabi exacttly
One of the things that made the bridge scene in the first Raimi Spidey work well is that he was in the process of saving a bunch of kids and their supervisor as well as the girl in her PJs from the guy who simply threw bombs everywhere.
TBH, The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) is my favourite CBM and my favourite cinematic take on the character.
spidey.danger dude tasm1 is literally a cinematic Spider-Man brought to life, by far the most underrated Spider-Man movie. I love it so much
@@galaxystudios5642 and now I love you
I completely agree. This movie is so underrated.
Yay I'm not the only one
Marc Webb could've made these movies a great duology so I'm glad you re-wrote it!
19:35
"Peter looks up to see the person operating the crane... it's Jack's father, *the man behind the slaughter*

I don't know why I thought of this.
When you rewrite the Amazing Spider-Man 2, are you gonna make a sequel to this rewrite, or a simple rewrite of that movie without connection to this?
6:15
that's actually really damn accurate, props to you for knowing that
How was Peter suppose to pickup Aunt May? He doesn't have a car😂
Peter Parker: Save... Martha..
Curt: Why did you say that name!
uHm there was actually a lot of deleted scenes, that humanised Kurtis Connors. That didn't show him as a villian, but as a person with conflicts. Frickin producers.
I think he's aware of that dude. He snuck in a deleted scene that shows Billy in 6:29.
This is so much better than homecoming and also i hope we can still get a standalone spidey universe
Now that Spidey's out of the MCU, we probably will see a stand-alone universe finally lol
Hahahahahahahahaha. Nice.
If I wrote TASM2, I would make Harry Electro, I know it would be nothing like the comic but I figure it could be a way to sort out the villian problem
Don't tell me that the swinging scenes in the amazing series wasn't amazing
one small thing
the reason connors tested himself is because he would rather test on himself than other people that could be harmed
it isn't brought across well in the movie like some other things but thats the reason y
Great video tho, glad im not the only person with a guilty pleasure for this movie (actually i also do with tasm2 dont kill me)
This could honestly be the best spider-man movie ever made
While I was watching this video and peter pulled off the mask for the kid I got chills. That’s how good that scene is. That scene is one of the best spider-man scenes.
The score for these films don’t get enough credit, rlly wish it was used for better films.
Fun Fact Everyone in the comic uncle Ben never told Peter with great power comes great responsibility it was a realization Peter learn after uncle Ben death it was a changed in media adaption of spider man so based on this fact it seems like the amazing spider man movie actually the first live action movie that did it right but people seem to hate those movie but ramii Triogly got it wrong but people love what kinda world do I live in
I appreciated that Life of Pi joke.
18:44 Its a movie with a teenager with spider powers and a giant lizard for God's sake
I actually like the Amazing Spiderman 1 suit
@Rexes Avenger Could you maybe explain why you hate that suit.
@Rexes Avenger Agree to disagree?
@Rexes Avenger Wow you're mature.
If you're tired of making Spider-Man videos, why not rewrite one of the X-Men movies instead?
Didn’t even think about that, the personality he has feels a lot like people I knew in high school, that’s pretty dope. And that facts about how peter was always good looking in the comics too, I hate when people bring that up about this movie 😭😭
I wrote this comment 15 hours before the video's premiere.
I loved this movie way more than that trilogy that came before it:
1. the suit was better.
2. Gwen Stacy.
3. before the death of Ben Peter reminded me of my highschool self (in a twisted way).
4. the lizard made complete sense to me.
5. the bridge scene and how it changed Peter's point of view of what it means to be Spider-Man.
Amit Barabi bruh

I know, not a popular opinion.
great rewrite, the only thing I would add is having his suit completely mangled, so in tasm2 it would make sense why he has a new suit.
