Omg i have never seen anyone with the the same views as me, likes the original spider man trilogy, doesnt like mcu spiderman and doesnt think avengers endgame is the best thing aswell. Also a dc fan.
Or like, make movies in between Infinity War and Endgame (yes I know Black Widow is sorta a prequel-sequel) building up the rematch with Thanos (Endgame). Do you know how much MORE that movie would have made? I LOVED IW but the time skipping in Endgame threw me off way more than it did in IW. We could've gotten a Hulk/Thor part 2 where Hulk becomes Savage and eventually into Professor Hulk, Captain Marvel could have a movie where she's actually likeable, Black Widow, introduce new heroes/villians/teams for post-endgame. There could have been such an impact but Disney said let's make Endgame now to capitalize on IW's success.
Shit. I loved infinity war and endgame but it was mostly the hype of all the mcu movies leading up. I think that would’ve been insane. A whole 3 years of films leading up to endgame. Maybe an Iron Man 4 where the entire plot was solving time travel. Shit you just made me rethink how much more amazing the infinity saga could’ve been. Shit
That was pretty much the first thing I thought about when I knew The Guardians of the Galaxy were gonna be in Infinity War. With Peter back on his home planet, shouldn't he be making a mad dash for his home?
I forgot about that possibility because the immediate area was decimated by Thanos shortly before he arrives. And that's why it probably it didn't hit him emotionally. The third GOTG has a lot of potential storylines to go with. It may start with with Peter Quill rediscovering Missouri.
@@Lugbzurg It's a good point that Quill should've acknowledged being back on Earth, but his home is the Milano. His mother has been dead for 30+ years and his father is an interstellar intelligence he killed a few years earlier. What is he supposed to be rushing off to? His favorite 80's diner? The mall in his home town?
I think that after gotg vol. 2 he's moved on from earth. He knew that he could always go back but his family was there with him. (also in space he's got laser blasters and earth is lame as f***)
they should do a disney + show called “Five Years” where every episode is a 40 minute character arc delving into the stories and events that took place with each individual character who was left during the five years
@@clang1463 Like "What If," right? Let's do it. With talent like Josh Keaton and Lake Bell, I could give them a chance if there was a "Five Years" show. Yeah, let's do it!
It would be the most expensive show in history, even if it is animated. And as we saw with What If, Disney is not even willing to pay actors to just do the voices.
seems like german synchronizers are cheap enough haha.. one of the least things I really love this country for xD because the work these people make is awesome. Mostly every voice fits great in my opinion. And in the past the real actors often gave their german voices probs to sound so good and a better compliment isn't possible in this job I think.
It’s okay to not like this or any movie. But his reasoning for _why_ is way too loose, too weak, or don’t make much sense. Him wanting all of these extra scenes/side stories shown in the movie wouldn’t be necessary, and they would just become filler/fluff if they were added. This is an Avengers movie. The objectives were to: Learn time travel. Recruit all accessible heroes. Get all the stones. Reverse the snap. And beat Thanos once and for all. Deviating from those objectives would be unnecessary filler padding.
Egg Benedict Some bad CGi stills from the film don’t mean the visuals were bad. That would mean literally any CG movie looks bad as well. Other issues such as? The only other objective issues I could see were that some of the dialogue in the Steve/civilian counciling and the Natasha talking to Steve scenes were dragged on for too long.
@@generationx5338 idk about infinity gauntlet. Thanos whipping out half the universe just to impress a woman and gets even more jealous when she ignores him doesnt sound very good as a driving force plot
@@knightghost1782 Thanos' comic book motivation is crazy. But his movie motivation seems stupid to me. All that trouble to reduce populations by half so that resources will suffice. How many decades will it take for population growth to undo that?
@Imaru Lewis while i think it would have been cool, Quill can return to earth any day he wants. He has a high tech ship, he's a gifted pilot, and knows his way around the universe. Quill doesn't have any connection to his biological family anymore, because to him the guardians are his family and he'd rather be with them anyways. I wanted him to say something while on earth, but Strange probably just told them "Get ready to fight."
Alex: criticizes Endgame, Far From Home and Joker. UA-cam and Twitter: “misery, misery, misery, that’s what you’ve chosen. I offered you friendship, and you spat in my face.”
@@thelittlepasty8360 Probably true. But imagine the next phase after Phase 4 being Phase 3.5 with relatively low-budget, Joker-style movies focusing on the classic characters. Maybe even rehire old cast members and using most of the budget on that instead of CGI spectacle.
They're too busy filling holes they should have filled a long ass time ago like making a black widow solo movie (although not a horror-esque origin story disappointingly)
Civil War could’ve been the start, Infinity War as the Middle Ground, and Endgame is the end of what seems to be… the end of the Infinity Saga, and the MCU itself.
@Black Ninja That's a shit excuse. If they're gonna drag Quill back to Earth they should address it. They had time for a thousand limp jokes but not a serious emotional beat for the best character in the MCU.

@@theawemazingcrew9702 I'm not sure if you mean it or if you are joking... I personally hated it in Thor Ragnarok. But, it's my own opinion. I mean, I hated when they put that song when Thor "unleashes" his power at the end yet I learned that aparently a lot of people liked it so...might just be my own tastes.
AlphaDarkBoy 21 I liked Thor Ragnarok as a whole but I’m with you, the comedy quota is annoying. Thor’s home literally gets obliterated and Korg has to throw in a joke as soon as possible. Lots of MCU movies do this but I think part of the problem is that it’s getting old now. Like the little quips every other line are getting too predictable now. Ragnarok really beat us over the head with “HARDY HAR HAR LOOK HOW FUNNY WE ARE” and for me Endgame forced it a lot as well. I think the humor in, for example, Guardians of The Galaxy just feels a lot more natural. At least that’s how I see it.
@@ashton7527 I see it the same way as you. It's getting annoying. For Thor Ragnarok, I really thought it was going to be at least a little dark, I mean "Ragnarok" is litterally the event where almost everyone dies, it isn't supposed to be a comedy. Take the scene where Bruce decides to turn into Hulk for the final battle, I thought it was gonna be a badass transformation scene but nope, he crashed. Then, the scene where Hulk jumps to hit Surtur: in the trailer, it was the last shot, such hype for an epic fight ; in the movie, it was once again played for comedy... I was disappointed... The comedy is too much at times.
Jclarkis honestly! I was thinking how many heroes and villains were created in that five year gap? How many stories could have been told! It’s such a waste!
@@crystaldee7185 that 5 year period isnt getting untouched forever, its confirmed that we see ronin flashbacks in hawkeye and shang-chi is rumored to take place during that period
Honestly, Engame would be a masterpiece if they waited a couple of years after Infinity War to release it. Give at least 1 more Iron Man and Thor movie to show the consequences of a post infinity war world.
I just hope they release some in between movies; another Hulk film would work well, as would a Ronin film in the style of the Daredevil series where he turns to ultra-violence and vigilantism, and maybe a Tony Stark short film which chronicles the journey from the defeat in IW to the sacrifice in Endgame. Maybe even introduce some new characters that found themselves during the time jump. I would just mainly love to see Daredevil in that even grittier NY, hopefully they can retcon the Netflix version into that time period because that would be amazing to be honest, maybe in this universe is where Kingpin starts his rise to power, as well as the Punisher because they kind of did him dirty imo
QUEENDOM this is the stupidest point I think he’s made and beyond nit picky, why lack context for the sake of complaining but I can’t be surprised since he’s gone the way of the new wave of Disney hater...
@QUEENDOM Nothing mind-blowing about it? Earth is Quill's birth planet, a place he avoided for the longest time due to the lingering guilt of essentially ditching his mom at her deathbed. (He was taken technically, but he made the choice to run from the hospital.) Him returning should have at least been acknowledged.

One of the reasons why I love first guardians movie is cuz it's isolated from rest of MCU we don't have any forced reference to other characters other than its own mythos. It felt fresh stylistically and narrative wise
“Show; don’t tell” could be applied to the entire MCU. So much happens off screen through the entire 22 movie saga. It’s just that it didn’t become all that noticeable until Endgame.
I think that having captain marvel as the one who is stronger than thanos is an absolute tragedy. I would love to see thor beat his ass or a hulk rematch. They did the hulk dirty
@Nduhuura Kamuntu I don’t think it was hours of torture... and thanos was using the stone on Thor to make him talk, thanos wasn’t using the full strength of the stone just enough for him to feel pain so he would talk. @JOE knows right we could've seen how that effect the heroes moving forward I feel if the movies and Netflix shows were connected, we could've seen how daredevil, Jessica Jones (Jewel), Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Punisher. I also feel that the heroes who got dusted should've stayed and my 4 pick of heroes who should've stayed alive and not dusted is Spider-Man Winter Soldier Black panther Star-lord Spider-Man loses his friends and aunt may and realizes the grand scale of losing the battle, which would make him a better hero throughout the 5 years and learn the true meaning of great power comes great responsibility Bucky should've gotten the chance to look back at his mistakes and have a moment where him and Tony reconcile the incident that happened years ago with tonys parent. Also give Steve and bucky time to relook at the days they fought together and how they missed them days Black panther is a king and as a king he feels as if he failed to protect not only his kingdom but the planet. 5 years he mourns his mom and sister. Half of wakanda defenses are down but he should help the avengers come up with a way to better handle the infinity gauntlet with vibranium. Star lord of all feel like he made the worse mistake than thor because he messed up the plan on titan. He mourns gamora than anyone because he and gamora shares a moment and he hesitated to kill her when she asked him to do it. He feels that he failed to save her same way he feels he couldn't save his mom when he was young. This would be a way where star lord becomes a more efficient and serious leader like how he is in the comics. But that's just my opinion. Also hulk should've had the best scenes in the movie. Using the infinity gauntlet should've increased hulks power especially since he couldn't bring natasha back.
I mean they could but anything could happen in 5 years. Some of the key actors might not even be around by then for one reason or another so why take the chance

I 100% agree with you. People nowadays just want fight scenes. Even though this movie had a lot less. It still felt rushed. I really hate what they did to hulk, they lost the whole potential with these characters for stupid jokes that are not even funny.
I often tell people that Thor one was my favorite marvel film and they think I’m crazy and ask why. I tell them that for all the fast paced action in most marvel movies Thor was a slow coming of age story where a child learns to take responsibility for himself. Could not tell you about the fight scenes in Thor 1 because it is dominated by character both in the writing and the visuals. It’s why (I’m so sorry ahead of time) I talk endlessly about what I loved about The Last Jedi. Much less fighting. Slower pace. Gave the franchise some time to ask “what does all this mean?” Rey and Kylo Ren never fought physically in the film but are dueling the entire time with their competing ideas on how the world should be. There isn’t even really a final battle between Luke and Kylo which was a decision so monumentally genius I could go on for hours. There are tons of “action” movies out there where the most intense moments take place devoid of any physical confrontation. I don’t know if you guys have ever heard of a show called Billions before but it is essential a show about a New York DA and a powerful hedge fund manager with a vendetta for each other. The visual style and writing evokes so much of a feeling that these guys are Olympian gods hurling thunderbolts at each other with mere mortals being nothing more than collateral damage that when I actually watch films like Hercules or Clash of the Titans I wish it felt as grand and terrible as the petty legal and financial war of these two rich pricks. Fight scenes need some bite in them otherwise you are just watching action figures being thrown around a play set.
Banner 2012: “I put a bullet in my mouth, and the other guy spit it out.” Banner 2023: “Dab!” Now that’s character development! Edit: Though it sounds misleading, I wasn’t trying to criticize Banner in Endgame or how he’s changed. I just find how he’s progressed humorous and realized it even more as soon as Alex pointed this out. I actually like his growth over the years, from a man struggling with this monstrous side of him to finally finding peace and becoming Professor Hulk. The only gripe I have is as pointed out, his arc is fulfilled offscreen.
@@vbabu2019 I don't know if you also mean Hulk by Banner. I think their usage of Hulk would have been perfect had Savage Hulk got a closure in Infininy War and Endgame had a Thanos v Prof Hulk rematch. But even then, Hulk was a great part in Endgame imo and they really payed off his arc since the Avengers very well. Plus they tried doing something new with the character, and it has happened in the comics as well
@@ironcap8913 I liked the use of Hulk in Infinity War, for the brief moment he was in it. I felt as though they wasted an opportunity with him in Endgame however as 1) his arc receives no closure (as noted) and 2) his character added nothing of value. I cannot see what he did in Endgame that Banner (or anyone else, frankly) couldn't have done (the snap seemed like the directors shoehorning him back into the film). The opportune moment to utilise his character would have been following the death of Black Widow, which is alas a separate gripe.
The writer of the Black Widow movie said that she wanted to have characters resolve problems without violence and find other outcomes 🤷♂️ yh it doesn’t sound great

Endgame is a 10 episode miniseries stuffed into 3 hours. I loved it, but everything you're saying makes perfect sense. I'm just impressed the Russos were even able to make a coherent film with how much they had to do and story lines they had to bring together. 😂
I love how it is able to flow so well. It starts off really sombre but then gets really fun as we go through the time heist and finally totally epic, ending again on a sombre note. Ultimately it wasn't a standalone, it was a conclusion to the several movies that came before.
The color was awful, mind you . That was one of the big things i couldn't put my thumb on until now. Its supposed to be the end of something great so make it look great and take ur time w it
To add to your comment on how the Endgame fight was nowhere near as "iconic" and "grand" as the battle of New York, I think it's mainly to do with the cinematography. In the first Avengers movie, the camera closely follows each character, making it feel like WE'RE a part of the scene. The battle in Endgame consists mostly of very distant shots in the attempt to fit as many characters on the screen. The result is a much larger disconnect; it feels drastically less personal when the camera's placed in a random point in the sky with 27 main characters all doing different things and fighting for attention. I'm a huge fan of that scene, but I wish they were more creative and expressive with the cinematography. (fyi, I have no film-making prowess; my opinion is completely worthless)
Masterwizard25 Yeah I really prefer when they focus on a few characters. Having a giant army final battle like that just doesn’t do it for me because you know not everyone’s gonna get much focus time
15:50 - You're absolutely right about Rocket in that disclaimer you wrote, he shows no empathy at all, and it is evident when he slaps Thor despite knowing what he's gone through. And believe me, he knows what he's gone through. He talked with him about losing everyone in his life in Infinity War, and he was there when Thor killed Thanos.
I feel like the Cap ending came out of nowhere, to the point it felt contrived and implausible. Not only was Peggy (as an active love interest, not a symbol of his past) reintroduced out of almost nowhere, we’ve spent Steve’s whole trilogy arc working to get over the life he lost and working to find his place in the time he is now. Then, there was so much importance placed on his friendship with Bucky, to the point where it feels a bit like character assassination to have Steve just up and abandon him - not just because of his loyalty to his lifelong best friend, because of the explicit promise that they’re with each other “til the end of the line.” The ending with Peggy was perfectly beautiful if you didn’t watch The Winter Soldier or Civil War (I know because I watched the movies all out of order)-that is to say, if you shove aside all of the growth and progress we see from Cap after he gets unfrozen. I just wish the end result didn’t feel like a flimsy & transparent effort to shelve Steve Rogers as Captain America. And if he had to go back (which I’m still not convinced he did), I wish he’d taken Bucky with him.
You're so right also they made the agent carter series non canon to make Steve coming back make sense carter had a love interest other than Steve she learned to move on just like Steve did but they removed all that because they can't get chris evans anymore tbh this is why i don't like live action universes even though i love the mcu if an actor don't have time is sick or just doesn't want to be in anymore you can't really swap them like in animation you can just swap the voice actor it wouldn't be that important but changing the way a whole character looks just can't work well is why they need to kill them off or remove them from the plot
When he merged with the Hulk, he merged his genius with The Hulk's confidence and strength. You can't be a sad suicidal man when you're full of pulsating testosterone. Gods arent depressed, and Hulk is like a green god. So it isn't a leap, it's just the mathematical outcome of joining two opposites. I digress
Not really this video and his points are kinda bunk and he kinda just dismisses times the movie does do what he wants and every thing that isn’t in the movie that he complained about don’t need to be here there doesn’t need to be a scene of rocket excepting a new family or a montage of Tony’s kid it’s all very unnecessary in the movie such as endgame
Mc Spankies/comment police He’s saying that he wishes Endgame was very different than it was. Of course if you think Endgame was great then you’re gonna disagree with him, but it doesn’t make him wrong
Sunny this has nothing to do with opinion he dismissed the things he was asking for just like he did in the Spider-Man ffh video like asking for Like asking for consequences and Spiderman far from home then pretending like they didn’t happen
I just hate the fact that they didn’t keep the serious tone Capitan America - Civil War had. I thought with the begging scene that’s what we were getting. I did not want no comic material in the movie . I might be alone but that was my only gripe .

That bit about the film not having a moment where Peter Quil realizes he's back on his home planet for the first time since he was captured is an excellent point that I hadn't considered at all. I really would not mind having three movies. Like, Endgame: part 1, dealing with the immediate effects of the Snap, showing how people deal with it and how they move on. End it with the return of Ant-Man and the invention of time travel. Then the Eternals or Black Widow (instead of Spider-Man FFH) Then part 2, featuring time-travel and whatever.
My take on this: 1 A movie: Thanos: Infinity War 2 A TV series: "The aftermath" where each episode is focused on how is life after the snap for a given character. 3 A movie: Avengers: Endgame

The way they could've shown Tony's important moments during these 5 years could be just pictures on his shelf, that would be quick, informative and show his connection to these moments
And or rewatching some highlight videos he recorded while he's contemplating helping out or not, just a couple minutes at most would've gone a long way, they could've shrank many of the time heist moments that flopped for short but strong character moments.
Y'know, they could've done some visual story telling, show him playing with his daughter and his wife, and follow them inside, show him talking to his wife and just going having fun and all, then the camera enters the kitchen and starts showing pictures of all these moments, until it shows a picture of him and the original 6 hanging out, a picture of him and Bruce having fun with science, and it ends with a picture of him and Peter, he picks it up and just has that sad face while staring at it, then he goes back to washing the dishes, but he starts thinking about it all, then it cuts to Steve and the gang getting to his house

I think maybe he just wanted a scene with Pepper pregnant, or maybe a scene with Tony and Pepper holding their newborn daughter. Don't think he was asking for anything graphic
he meant literally any scene but that. Like being at the hospital, designing her room, even something as simple as seeing tony and pepper react to another person with their kid. Anything that provided some emotional context for this kid's existence would have worked.

Brother, I've watched the entire video, and I have to say, this is a perfect example of Constructive Criticism. You've told what was good as well as bad about this movie. I was also one of those who did feel very dissatisfied with this movie, I could point out why but could never go in depth and you've made all of those reasons clear now. I'm also learning Filmmaking, and I feel like I've learnt a lot from you today. Now, I really hope they do something different in the future, if they ever build up to another Endgame, make it better... than Endgame.
When you mentioned a montage my brain immediately formed one where it goes through every Avengers important growth moments with sad music slowly turning into joyful music as the Avengers move on alongside the numbers slowly going from "1 to 5 years later". Indeed would've made Endgame better
You shouldn't have to be critical of things you don't immediately find large flaws in. Tbh these seem like nitpicks and he has a lot of points, I feel like they wouldn't effect the story. I love this guy, but I still feel he was extremely harsh. (execpt for the Peter Quill thing I think he should have had a huge reaction to being on Earth)
While Infinity War is a overall more structurally sound movie, I still love Endgame despite the problems it has. I feel like it has higher highs than Infinity War but also lower lows. Oh and the thing about Peter Quill not acknowledging that he is back home after 20 or so years is that it’s not the movies focus. I’m sure that would definitely be brought up if this was a Guardians movie, but it’s not. It’s an Avengers movie.
I would say Endgame was the perfect ending to 21 movies. You shouldn't watch Endgame unless you're a true marvel fan and just wanna watch an action movie. But when you have seen every single detail of every single movie before it, you can appreciate how much they fit into a 3 hour movie.
It’s pretty good, it’s much better if you’ve seen every other film a million times and understand every reference and character arc. *I understood that reference*
TOTALLY agree dude. *INFINITY WAR* was INFINITELY better in every way. I would say ENDGAME gave us closure. But IW was just a masterpiece! Thanos WON! Life dont get much better than that!
@@leonardobraynen1524 Logically speaking Infinity War is a better movie, and I can see why people vehemently believe in that. The character moments and action sequences are spaced out so well that keep you on the edge of your seat while constantly surprising and shocking you in every way possible. But think of it this way, there was so much freedom in the writing for Infinity War while Endgame was constricted to conclude 21 movies. There are probably over 14 million ways they could've fucked up Endgame. 14 million ways to wrap up our beloved characters' journeys and yet you know damn well they did their absolute best. And they nailed it. I could go on forever on why Endgame was a beautiful experience of a life time. But was I disappointed with a lack of closure or how some characters turned out? Yeah. But the movie is so massively jam packed and intricately interwoven together where if you pull out a piece of the puzzle, everything falls apart. You take Smart Hulk out(one that I absolutely hated) and you wouldn't get the portals scene. You get Captain Marvel to snap the gauntlet instead of Hulk so he could fight in the final battle and get his long anticipated beatdown revenge on Thanos but you'll have to deal with how she could've stopped Thanos in 5mins if she had returned to earth earlier than she did in the movie. The point is, both movies are a masterpiece in their own ways and I wouldn't say one is better than the other.
@@marcusduck dude, this was said very beautifully. You put alotta things in context and thats EXACTLY how i feel! Endgame was just awesome and cuz it was a zillion characters it all coulda gone sideways but it didn't and it brought closure to Tony Stark and Steve Rogers' arcs succinctly. I lost my mind when Cap called Mjolnir to him to save Thor and put a whupass on Thanos. But Infinity War was just beyond BEYOND, ya know? Cuz it really was Thanos' story and it showed his motivations and the fact that EVERYTHING he said he was going to do, he did. He won. And i've never been apart of a movie experience where the villain won COMPLETELY and to see how broken and demoralized the Avengers were after they lost? Priceless. So Marcus, as for me i've seen every single marvel movie since Blade 1; every Xmen movie; Fantastic Four with Chris Evans; virtually every Spider-Man movie into the MCU with Iron man1. So i was on this journey for 11yrs man and like Tony, its time to rest now..... Am gonna leave Phase 4 to a different generation but to me the world will never see Phase 1-3 be that successful again!
Marvel should make a Disney plus series called something like "While they were gone" that covers the character development of each of the Avengers during those missing five years. Even if it was an animated series I'm sure it would do really well plus it would quench the thirst for answers caused by that 5 year time jump in Endgame.
Disney: You can't make a slowburn drama with comic characters. You need to stay safe and PG-13 to make a lot of money with China. Joker: How about another joke, Dis-naay?
@@ShadowSonic2 Yes! and the way Todd Philips is reacting to the criticism just furthers this notion that he wanted to create a Oscar winning contender. He is way too ambitious and has skills, which are good, but not good enough to land him a name into the list of *great directors.* If it wasn't for Joaquin Phoenix, this movie would have fallen apart. If it wasn't for the *Joker* marking, this movie would have not been this successful.
@@karandev9316 lmao. Let us see how you react if someone else is trying to shut down your work in the name of a delusional manufactured mass panic. Sit your ass down kid. And he's the one who chosed Phoenix, who convinced Phoenix that he is the one for this role.
I can't always stand by him honestly. He has a lot of good points about a lot of things that I fully agree with, but he's also had times where he was wrong or just strait up bias.
My major problem with Endgame is that nothing is learned and that there is no overall lesson. If you fail just time travel and redo it. That’s not what a superhero movie does. The Dark Knight trilogy said that no matter how hard things get, always pick yourself back up. I felt Endgame missed out on the more important symbolism behind superheroes because they are soooo much more than people in costumes beating up bad guys.
George Garcia-Meza I disagree with that. For one thing, the movie follows the multiverse theory of time travel, so any changes to the past don’t actually affect the reality the tume travelers come from. For another, the deaths from the Snap were undone, but the Snap and its impact is still there. The people who remained don’t just magically lose their trauma from losing their loved ones for five years, and the people who came back have to deal with a very different world. There are still consequences. Thanos still won the Infinity War, and the Avengers couldn’t change that.
I think you kinda found endgames lesson - pick yourself back up. Otherwise what was the point of Tony returning form space, hours from complete oxygen starvation to start a family and build a time machine? What was the point of Thors trip to asgard and finding out that he can still wield Mjolnir, proving that he is worthy of the love and respect of his friends despite his failings? What was the point of Stefe literally wielding the power of a God, only to still have his ass handed to him and his shield splintered into pieces only to get bacm up and look Thanos in the eye?
@@magnusprime962 I feel that the Multiverse model of time travel is the worst model. It gives you the chance to do anything you want in an alternate earth with 0 consequences.
Endgame's lesson was that in order to create a new future, you might have to look to the past. This was shown within the characters arcs (Most characters are stuck in time, unable to create a new, fulfilling future. They all have to get advice from the past to create a new future) within the Narrative (They have to go back in time to get the stones to create new life for those that lost it) within the themes of the movie (Reconciliation and Reinvention) and even as a way to justify the fan service and a metaphor for the franchises end (The movie looks back to previous films to end those narratives and have the opportunities to start anew). That's why there was time travel in Endgame. Not to lazily end a series, but to celebrate the series, end it's characters, and create a satisfying conclusion to the series, which I think it did.
Bea r That’s not necessarily true, yes Far From Home’s tone is more light-hearted but this is because you are seeing the Snap and the blip from a teenage perspective. However, you still see some of the effects of the snap/the blip (also it takes place some months after the blip so people have picked themselves up slightly more), for example you see all those misplaced and homeless with Aunt May working for the Salvation Army, buildings still being redone, the stories people tell about when they blipped back, all the Iron Man and Avengers memorials, and the desperateness of everyone willing to accept a new hero to protect them (Mysterio)
I like endgame but it doesn’t feel like a serious movie. It feels like fan service the movie, like a tv-special or a spin off that doesn’t and maybe shouldn’t exist in cannon. They focused on making good moments rather than making a good movie.

Endgame legit could’ve been a whole phase on it’s own
Or like, make movies in between Infinity War and Endgame (yes I know Black Widow is sorta a prequel-sequel) building up the rematch with Thanos (Endgame).
I never even thought about Peter Quill being back on Earth.

@@ashton7527 I see it the same way as you. It's getting annoying. This would be a way where star lord becomes a more efficient and serious leader like how he is in the comics.
But that's just my opinion.
Also hulk should've had the best scenes in the movie. Using the infinity gauntlet should've increased hulks power especially since he couldn't bring natasha back.

Not sure if that was suppose to the a reference, but they do that in the original comic where they fight Thanos
I 100% agree with you. People nowadays just want fight scenes. Even though this movie had a lot less. It still felt rushed. I really hate what they did to hulk, they lost the whole potential with these characters for stupid jokes that are not even funny.
Yea I didn't like how they changed hulk. It just made him look weak 😅
They pretty much ruined hulk

@@vbabu2019 I don't know if you also mean Hulk by Banner.

Literally nothing he says here makes sense of any kind. “Perfect” or otherwise.

SuperOmnicron Except it’s not even remotely downhill for the MCU form here.

Then part 2, featuring time-travel and whatever.

When you mentioned a montage my brain immediately formed one where it goes through every Avengers important growth moments with sad music slowly turning into joyful music as the Avengers move on alongside the numbers slowly going from "1 to 5 years later".
Indeed would've made Endgame better

I loved this video. I’m sorry that u didn’t love Endgame like I did but you’re really inspiring me to be more critical of movies so thanks Hitop
Matthew 💯 agree with u on that
He seems like he wants a lot more movie in this movie. And then if he had gotten it would’ve complained that it was too long.
Corbin Dallas like Matthew said this video was more nitpicking than actual flaws with the movie but hey, opinions are opinions
Also Quill just got snapped before he found out his girlfriend died.
I would say Endgame was the perfect ending to 21 movies. You shouldn't watch Endgame unless you're a true marvel fan and just wanna watch an action movie. But when you have seen every single detail of every single movie before it, you can appreciate how much they fit into a 3 hour movie.
That's why HiTop Films was stressing about an individual movie for the characters or even one dialogue or scene before Endgame.
It’s pretty good, it’s much better if you’ve seen every other film a million times and understand every reference and character arc.

TOTALLY agree dude.
*INFINITY WAR* was INFINITELY better in every way.
I would say ENDGAME gave us closure. But IW was just a masterpiece! Thanos WON! Life dont get much better than that!
NG 135 I wish they were more ppl like u

I actually liked the film, but opinions are opinions.
Infinity war and endgame are very goof films but I respect this dudes opinion.
Disney: You can't make a slowburn drama with comic characters. You need to stay safe and PG-13 to make a lot of money with China.
Joker: How about another joke, Dis-naay?
Joker was just a Taxi Driver wannabe that appealed to angry white men.
@@ShadowSonic2 Yes! and the way Todd Philips is reacting to the criticism just furthers this notion that he wanted to create a Oscar winning contender. @@t_r_a_y_e9858 Well he is human, and young, and he's got to formulate an opinion before he can learn.
They focused too much on drama and dialogue, it is an action superhero movie after all.
Repo man So why do you have a problem when Endgame did it? Seems kind of hypocritical don’t you think?
