  • A few changes can turn a good movie into a great movie.
    I thought Spider-Man: Homecoming was a good, fun movie. However, I think that there were some choices made that held it back from being one of the best iterations of Spider-Man of all time. The characters were well done, but the situations that they were put in didn't feel like they fit in a Peter Parker/Spider-Man movie, and this is my potential solution to that.
    I'm not saying that my version is perfect. I'm only human, I know that it has flaws. I just wish to express how I would have changed the film if I had the power to do a final rewrite. If you have any suggestions, or think of something I could have done better, let me know in the comments below. It's my first time, plz be gentle.
    Also, if you wanna know more about how I felt about the moving, check out the review of Spider-Man: Homecoming that I did with my buddy Storytelling Vlaire:

    I love how you have way more focus on Peter’s self doubts. I was never into Spidey that much until Homecoming came out and heavily boosted my interest in him. I loved the movie but I agree that there should have been more personal consequences. It sounds bad but I almost wish that the world was more cruel to him in a way? What I’m saying is my main draw is how Peter is just this lonely dude with the most shit luck of anyone in existence yet he still not only finds time to be a super hero, but also finds time to help others with their small problems as well.

      Yesssss! Absofuckinglutely. My favorite thing about Spider-Man 2 (my favorite movie of all time lol) is how Peter's life just fucking suuuuuucks all the time and that it really feels like the universe is out to get him. It really makes it feel so much better when he still chooses to do the right thing.

      I agree, and I really hope that they will go a bit more in that direction with Far From Home. I'm sure dying will have to take a huge mental toll on Peter, and then add that to the likely chance of Tony dying in Avangers 4, Peter is going to have some serious emotional baggage, and I really hope that don't underplay this.

      It's not that people didn't want to see Uncle Ben, it's that people didn't want to watch his death scene again. Uncle Ben is the spark that hits Peter to become Spider-man, the reason why he goes out and helps people with his gift. At least his name being dropped is enough to satisfy the fact that it's what drives him. I'm not mad that he is not in the movie, Marvel still have years to explore the Spidey lore, so it didn't bother me that much.

      Is it so bad that we replace Ben Parker with Tony? Like I understand it isn't faithful to the original comics, but I feel like Tony can somewhat replace that father figure that teaches Peter what it means to be a super hero PLUS it ties Peter to the greater MCU. @@fishgilbert6875 Warning: sorry for the long response:
      Why is it good? A cliché is still a cliché and all that that implies, but can still be written well. It still can be interesting as it was made in the past. His character was one of my favourites in Spider-Man lore simply because he felt real and genuine. He really felt like an high school kid, the popular kid figuring his shit out and discovering there may be more to life than what he's doing.
      Besides, this new Flash is a cliché too. But instead of choosing to write the character with the most potencial and best character dynamic since what was interesting between Flash and Peter was the physical bullying. Making Flash a science dork along with Peter makes that relationship basically unconsequencial! Peter is a nerd, no secret there and since it's not a battle of brawn but of brain, Peter can easily beat him intellectually. As a brawn battle however he must contain the secret that he is in fact Spider-Man! So that's lost.
      They choose to write the rich snoby verbal bully, if you see, is only an annoyance. An asshole who calls Peter: Penis! That's not bullying! I've been verbally bullyed. That's not it, I'd sooner punch him in the nose God damn it!
      Why he has any social power is astonishing to me beyond belief! Maybe it's an American kid things, because would he be in my country, we'd all punch that annoying ass in the nose! Anyway, I hope you understand my wish for Flash to be Flash since he never was in the movies.

I don’t think the team would blame him for losing but they should’ve been quite odd at him for not turning up which lowered their chances. In the beginning of the comics, Peter gets hates from his peers and is known as a snub & anti-social due to his absent behavior while in school/college. Would’ve been nice to see that in movie.

He already is, but people just keep saying he is not spidey but ironboy whereas he defeated vulture and mysterio without any help. He is learning to come out of iron man's shadow to become a hero he is. Even before he was approached by stark, he was already a hero saving new york. The suit never matters, if you are nothing without it, then you shouldn't be a hero.

    The only two things I would leave out would be: the first scene with Toomes and the general, way too similar to the 2002 Spider-Man Osborn scene where they have to take the project "back to formula"; and second it would be the post credit scene, it's a good idea, but it would box them in the same arc as the previous movies with the Osborns as the big bads and the files for the Sinister Six are way too much like the TASM movies, just introduce the villains organically instead of via folders. Also-also while I would like the Avengers tower to become Oscorp, it's pretty clear Disney wouldn't give Sony that much screen-time, as the tower would feature in a lot of movies and TV shows; I would love if it'll become the Baxter building tho, now that Marvel has the Fantastic Four back!

Liz Allen (basically the same role she played in the movie). And Mary Jane, the mystery girl who Aunt May introduces him to. They can introduce MJ in the second movie or replace her arrival with the Aunt May finding out that Peter is Spider-Man scene. Love the change for Vulture being a prototype for Falcon, but just about all the rest of this either isn't important or is less interesting (imo). For instance, cutting out the confirmation that this is the first movie Spider-man whose aunt actually knows what he does at night makes the movie worse, not better, and while a sinister six movie could be cool, setting it up after one movie is insane, as it would be doing both Kraven and Otto a major injustice to make them anything less than the main villain when they're introduced, since the former has gone criminally long without a movie appearance, and the latter is comic Spidey's arch-nemesis, whose last film incarnation, though necessarily not badly done, is still very different most portrayals of the character.

    Hey guys, this is very long, but I came up with an (in my opinion) perfect MCU Spider-man 3 script, that I think will make all the fans happy, at least to some degree:
    At the start of the movie, Peter gets arrested after being framed by Mysterio for his death and countless others. In the beginning, he’s fleeing back home, but his house is already surrounded by SHIELD agents or some kind of military. In this version, SHIELD doesn’t know anything about Beck being a bad guy, as far as they know it was all real, because the only people knowing were Skrull Maria Hill and Nick Fury, we can say they went on a mission in space, leaving Peter with no connections and no one to trust except his friends and family. Peter will try to escape and there will be a short chase scene between Peter and SHIELD, but at last, the Avengers come (at this point probably only Falcon, Bucky, and War Machine) to finally arrest Peter, he tries to fight, but at last, they capture him with some kind of a special device (idk, you figure it out). This is the part of the first act where we could really see some good drama that a lot of us have been waiting for. Peter gets sent to the RAFT, or some other high-tech security prison. In here Peter is at his lowest, he will speak with Aunt May over the prison phone, and they will both share a scene of Peter breaking down, confessing about not saving Ben and how he’s been grieving about him, how Stark was his new mentor but he failed him too, and how he was in denial about his feelings about Ben’s death. There will be a flashback, back to his death, and also May’s reaction to first seeing Peter in the suit after Homecoming (WE NEED THESE SCENES EXPLAINED, Watts, you cant just show us May finding out and then nothing, give us some drama). We will get some prison scenes of Peter not able to sleep, him mourning and stuff, also we could see some prisoners that Peter arrested, trying to kill him in the prison. By the beginning of the second act, we will see Peter truly standing up for himself, and deciding to do what’s right, he will escape the prison, but not all Spider-man being strong and stuff, he wants to keep his identity a secret, at least in front of the prisoners, he will use his technological knowledge to bypass the prison’s security and create a security breach, making him the only escapee. At this point, he will go into hiding, create his OWN Spider-man suit, but not like his homemade suit, like an actual suit with no Stark tech, and he will start looking for ways to get clean. The government will hire Kraven the Hunter, in this universe some kind of a Russian or super skilled agent to hunt down Spider-man. By this point, I don’t know what more to add to the story, but I know how I want the movie to end. I want Peter to get clean of any criminal charges (you could even set up Matt Murdock by him being his lawyer or something), I want nobody to know that Peter is Spidey, but do it in a way that it was the medias fault and not some Dr. Strange mind whipping thing, I want a bigger villain to be introduced pulling the strings behind his framing (Wilson Fisk?, Norman Osborn?) and Kraven trying to kill Peter, rather than arresting him (maybe Kraven could be a double agent), and I want Peter to graduate from high school, and at the end of the movie (because MJ is largely absent from the movie), make her first appearance after the whole “Home Run” story be with her iconic red hair (which we’ve seen Zendaya rock), meeting Peter in the door with the iconic line, or something super similar. By this point, Peter will be a college student, independent of any Stark related stuff, broke, but more motivated to do the right thing, he will also make his suits homemade, similar to the suit in the PS4 game. All we want is a good Spider-man story that hits the original elements while keeping it fresh in this world of the MCU, give us drama over comedy.
    Share it if you like it, just please credit me, its @SajmnKing in Twitter

    One thing I think would be cool if we got to saw was in the end, instead of peter getting the suit back from tony, he crafts his own original suit because in act 3 he learns that he doesn’t need the high tech suit to be Spider-Man, all of his powers are from within so for him to get back the same suit kinda neglects the lesson he learned in my opinion.

    • @troyoboyo17
      @troyoboyo17  6 років тому +1

      Ooh that's a good question. It's kind of tough, since it doesn't seem like they're planning on using Gwen in the MCU for a long time (if even at all), and Spider-Gwen is so much cooler when you know what happens to the original one, you know? So ideally, yeah I would like an arc with Gwen and her death (even though we already got that done so well in TASM2, maybe Spider-Gwen is Emma Stone again or something) and the introduce her through parallel universes, sort of like how I would want the X-Men introduced. TBH tho I don't really know if Spider-Gwen is necessary in the MCU, since she's pretty standalone and I think what they're doing with her in the animated stuff looks awesome, so I'd honestly prefer just a solo Spider-Gwen animated movie in the same style as Into the Spider-Verse.
      Good question though! I'd be interested to see if the MCU even bothers bringing in parallel dimensions or not, since that's not as big of a deal with Marvel as it is with something like DC.

    • @nabs99
      @nabs99 6 років тому

      troyoboyo17 I agree! Without the original Gwen’s death (not including in TASM) it wouldn’t feel the same. But I do hope that Spider-Gwen gets an animated film at the very least.
