@@bigOlchad I'm not totally sure, Peter is just a normal dude so I think that in the certain circumstances this could happen, it's like that time in the comics when he tried to remove his own powers because he didn't wanted the responsibility of being Spider-Man anymore but he just ended up getting 4 extra arms. I feel like if pushed to the limit he can end up doing anything even if it's totally against what he believes, like that time when he was so enraged that he ripped off someone's face by sticking his hand to it. Like I've seen some people complaining about Far From Home because Peter wanted to go on a vacation because he was stressed, but knowing how Peter acts when someone dies around him it's pretty understandable, like he is the kind of guy who blames himself for the deaths of everyone who dies around him, that thinks that he isn't good enough, like some time ago when J. Jonah Jameson's wife died and he couldn't stop it, he was really depressed, then he had nightmare where he all his insecurities appeared in front of him, it's similar to Mysterio's illusion sequence in Far From Home, also just like in the movie his Spider Sense was going off, also in the movie when Peter was making his new suit you can see in the display the suit that he made in the comics when his Spider Sense was going off, it's called Spider-Armor MK-2 and it's bullet proof, now while writing this I just realized that Far From Home is more comic accurate than I thought. Not only have I seen TASM2 up to three times now and keep forgetting that the secret-train-reveal scene even happens, every time I watch Gwen's death, I just remember that it wasn't as impactful as I keep imagining it was. What we got was a slow, drawn-out sequence shaking us and yelling "She's gonna die! She's gonna die!". What I remember in my head is complete and utter silence as she falls at a relatively realistic speed, before a sickening thud/snap sound as the rest of the scene finishes normally. My imagination made a better movie, and I was maybe 13 when I first saw it.

I never understood in the logic of the film why Spider-Man didn't just give Harry a blood sample. I mean, it either works and Harry lives, or it doesn't. Unless I missed an explanation within the film, it seems there is no reason for Spider-Man not to do this.
I like Nostalgia Critic's theory. His theory is that the scene in which Peter went to the subway and discovered A) that Oscorp wanted to weaponize his dad's research, and B) that the only reason the spider bite worked on him was that it had been made with his dad's DNA, was originally going to be BEFORE the scene in which he denied his blood to Harry. Because in that scenario, he has a reason to distrust anyone from Oscorp, plus he knows for a fact that it wouldn't work on Harry. But the script got chopped up and the final product makes less sense.
I really hate Bens' death in this one. He bumps into Carradine, who while looking scrupulous isn't portraying any hostile signs. He drops his gun and Ben immediately goes for it like a dumbass. That's the opposite of responsible, that's darwinism.
I think it makes sense. He tells Peter that if you have the power to do something to save someone you do it. Obviously I'm paraphrasing but I think it explains why he did it. The rest of the movie I cant defend but that part I can.
I honestly found his motivations for becoming Spiderman really interesting. Like a darker take of the character where Peter initially sets out to avenge Uncle Ben but doesn't actually become Spiderman until he saves that boy on the bridge.
@@SYMShutYoMouth In a ton of interpretations in the comics, Peter doesn't become Spider-Man until he chooses to let go the rage and guilt in his heart. Read Ditko Spider-Man and the "This be my destiny" moment where he finally lets go of his guilt and finally becomes a hero for his own sake instead of feeling guilt about Uncle Ben.
yeah he was nitpicking because it wasnt the real spiderman story. But its way better to do something new than just repeat the story everone already knows
The best part of that sequence is when the cashier is like "Hey, run after that guy who stole the money!" and Peter responds by saying "Nah, you were a dick earlier, so here's a witty response instead"... because it's the *EXACT SAME DIALOGUE* as in the first Raimi film! I had to pause the video and laugh at that part (and when Peter starts drawing the Spider-Man mask on graph paper, *JUST LIKE IN THAT OTHER FILM* ) This was supposed to be a new take on Spider-Man, right? So why did they copy those two things exactly as they happened in the Raimi film????? It's so weird

Yeah, for real. I haven't read any Spiderman comics, but from what I understand, that seems like it would be in character (and it's not like it would take *that* long to put on like implied here).
And the thing is that marcus complains that there are almost no jokes and that these movies take themselves way too seriously but whenever there are goofy and funny moments like that he complains that it would never make sense and that Peter would never waste time joking, like I think Peter joking with rhino in the beginning was perfect and exactly something I would see in a Spider-Man comic.q
@@dingledoodles2615 when you choose to look at it technically, yeah maybe some people may have gotten injured or even killed, but that's clearly not what's happening in the movie, it's not acknowledged in the movie, it's not something that actually happens in the movie and it plays no way into the plot of the movie. One of the best parts of Spider-Man is the joking and banter he has while wearing the costume, he's supposed to feel more confident and he does it get a reaction out of the villains, if they get riled up they become more irrational. When Spider-Man fought morlunn he kept making jokes, but he never responded back and it made him worried as it meant the villain felt nothing and was extremely focused on killing Peter. And if I recall correctly, Spider-Man homecoming starts out with Spider-Man joking the entire time while fighting people who are robbing an ATM, and it results in an entire building being blown up, and it resulted in a shopkeeper being injured and his entire business and home being destroyed. That doesn't very heroic or responsible now does it? 🤔 the same thing has been done with literally every on screen live action iteration of batman, he's pushing people off buildings, strapping bombs to people, using guns, driving people over, in the dark knight trilogy he even refuses to save ra's al ghul and Talia al ghul, and for batman it's worse because his number one rule is not killing people, but most of the killing is not intentional for the plot and the ones that are intentional make for good scenes and can be overlooked because the movies are still great overall.

That actually is how leave a penny take a penny works. It's meant to help customers not to have to deal with small change to speed up transactions. Hence the take a penny part of the name.
It's only really meant to be used to make even change, not supply a deficiency. So if milk costs, $2.41 and a customer has $2.50, they can take a penny to get $0.10 back. It's not really meant for the customer who only had $2.40. But no clerk would or should ever care. I'm not trying to be a jerk to you at all, I just like adding to the give-a-penny-take-a-penny conversation, making an even bigger event out of one of the dumbest movie plotpoint catalysts ever written.
Ryan, this is not correct. The pennies in the tray don't belong to the convenience store. Those are left by other customers who don't want them, so that customers that need them can use them. They put the trays there so there's not just piles of loose coins on checkout counters.
The scene where Dr. Connors is looking at his arm's reflection is actually a form of therapy. It's called "Mirror Therapy," and it's supposed to help with phantom limb pain experienced by people who have had an amputation. The more you know.
If you really think about it, Gwen’s death was partially her own fault. Peter tells her to stay put by the cop car, Gwen disobeys him and follows him into battle.
I think it’s far deeper then that, bro had no confidence was meek and stuff, when he starts getting attention it’s as a monster. All the rage was boiling underneath as we see in his fantasy of talking and screaming back at his boss. The lyrics in theme also explain it pretty well, Times Square was him getting set off after being betrayed by the person he considered a friend, the one who recognized him Spider-Man
Okay, now you got me thinking of an idea. I wanna see a movie where the superhero knows that anyone knowing his identity is a sure death sentence, and he uses that as a weapon, telling a few evil enemies his real identity so they die.
The KTCrew I haven’t seen Death Note, but from what I’ve heard, people die if the protagonist writes their name in the book and he can choose how they die too. I want this death to be more unexplainable and uncontrollable. The superhero knows a person will die if they know his identity but can’t control how it happens and he doesn’t know why it happens.
Actually when Ben died in the comics Peter basically goes out and spends days hunting down the killer and ignoring the fact that he needed to be there for May
Yeah, that part could have actually worked in the movie, they just didn't show him finally learning to be an actual hero and putting his evil vigilante ways aside.
@@owen______ absolutely, they should have spent less time showing Peter beating guys to death and more time depicting him realizing what he had been doing and that it wouldn’t bring Ben back, but rather create a rift between him and the only family he had left.

@Noah zzstu Smith Nah, that is entirely based on where you live. Most places YOU'VE been to, sure, but most places where I'm at they don't care. I pay with card so I never use those things but in and around my town people take one all the time. It's on a good faith system that when you shop there again you'll try to leave some change. Granted, many people are cheap af and DON'T do that, but that's just how it is. I've never personally had an issue with it working that way cause it would suck if you're short by such a small amount, and usually people who are short are short because they're poor, not because they don't want to break a 20.
@Noah zzstu Smith not any store i've ever been too. the entire point is that SOMEONE will be short a penny and its annoying and a waste of everyones time, and since a penny means NOTHING to the store and people, its there for anyone...no matter how much you spend.

Anyway I think you get it, if pushed to his limits Peter can do anything even if it's against his own beliefs, I think that this actually makes him a better character.

Hence the take a penny part of the name.
Liam Hay yeah the guy at the register was being a prick cause you apparently had to spend 10 bucks to use the take a penny, but that sooo stupid
It's only really meant to be used to make even change, not supply a deficiency. So if milk costs, $2.41 and a customer has $2.50, they can take a penny to get $0.10 back. It's not really meant for the customer who only had $2.40. But no clerk would or should ever care.
@@owen______ that whole drvlopment we just rushed
@@owen______ When he rescues the boy jack from the burning car is the transition point where he put his vigilante ways away and became a true hero
The original Toby mugire ones handled bens death better then this
Peter Parker's parents perished in a private plane.
Let that sink in
@@Stan_Castan What does the sink want from me now?
@@optillian4182 no, let that fucking sink in the plane, he's freefalling god damn it
Jeremy Georgia & Knuckles
"Which is something we already fucking KNEW!" Sorta...
There have been so many delusional takes about how TASM is the “most accurate” Spider-Man since NWH, and this video is such a great reminder of how everyone didn’t used to gaslight themselves into thinking these movies were good and/or accurate before NWH.
I lost it at “He makes a costume so people won’t recognize him because of his crimes” I can’t stop laughing
Jamie Foxx was incredibly miscast as a Revenge of the Nerds style nerd. Also, why the hell did a movie made in 2014 have a Revenge of the Nerds style nerd?
+Bill Volk It was written by the guys that wrote the Transformers movies, that's why.
Matt Ward I know he didn’t know Spider-Man’s age but it was very uncomfortable to watch this grown ass man fantasize over a teenager the way he did
@@jazzg4570 You know, until now that never even occurred to me because of how old Andrew Garfield looked in that movie.
You do realize that jamie foxx asked to be electro right?
@@27mizukage He probably thought he'd be playing something like the comic book version of Electro, which is totally different from what we got in this movie.
I mean, the take a penny leave a penny thing is exactly that, it's so people who are 2 or 3 cents short are still able to purchase their product, that's exactly how it works in ever store I've ever been in, that's why it says take a penny.
This scene confused me for this exact reason: the whole time I’m thinking “why can’t he just take the pennies? Damn this cashier is strict.”
Any cashier would tell you there’s always extra loose change in the drawer lol
@Noah zzstu Smith not any store i've ever been too. the entire point is that SOMEONE will be short a penny and its annoying and a waste of everyones time, and since a penny means NOTHING to the store and people, its there for anyone...no matter how much you spend.
I never in my life knew you couldn’t take two pennies. Any half decent clerk would be happy to let you take the damn pennies so you can get the hell out of their line and they can move on.
Andrew Garfield plays a tremendous High School teacher
