  • Many people make the mistake of only focusing on the face when they think about aging skin - when the neck, chest and even the hands and arms will quickly give away your age!
    -------------------------------------------Skin Considerations------------------------------
    *If you have darker skin on the fitzpatrick scale (4-6). *Olive or darker, or you are prone to PIH, please choose a LOWER % of acid such as the 13 or 20 and PRETREAT with a melanin inhibitor for 4+ weeks prior to a TCA peel. Please see this video: www.platinumskincare.com/body...
    **If you have thinner or crepey skin always choose a milder % of TCA. We suggest the 13% for most. Please see this video: www.platinumskincare.com/body...
    -------------------------------------------Skin Considerations------------------------------
    Purchase your TCA 30% here: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-...|_Tutorial_|_Demonstration_|_TCA_30_versus_Glycolic_70#
    Purchase your Glycolic 70% here: www.platinumskincare.com/glyc...|_Tutorial_|_Demonstration_|_TCA_30_versus_Glycolic_70#
    Today I am going to talk about and demonstrate two different chemical peels that you can use on your hands and all over the body.
    With the body, you will find that you need to apply a much stronger acid to get good results. This is because the skin on the body is literally five times thicker than that of the face and neck. *And the skin around the eyes is even thinner!
    We have two acids we like to use on the body to help with pigmentation, moles, skin tags, scarring, crepey-ness and many other issues.
    They are
    TCA 30% **20% is also an option and may be preferred if you have very dark skin.
    And
    Glycolic 70%
    Both of these acids are great choices when you want to treat the body. Out of the two, the TCA 30% is the strongest.
    Warnings and recommendations.
    Always pre-treat your skin before a body peel. You have many layers of dead skin that will slow the acid’s penetration. Use a daily acid wash like our 15% Body Wash www.platinumskincare.com/glyc...|_Tutorial_|_Demonstration_|_TCA_30_versus_Glycolic_70#
    and / or a cream like our 25% Triple Treat Body Lotion www.platinumskincare.com/trip...|_Tutorial_|_Demonstration_|_TCA_30_versus_Glycolic_70# every day for about 2 weeks prior to your peel application.
    If you are dealing with sun damage, melasma or have a naturally darker skin tone, pretreat the area with Fade Bright www.platinumskincare.com/?utm...|_Tutorial_|_Demonstration_|_TCA_30_versus_Glycolic_70# fade-bright-lightening/ or another melanin inhibitor for 2 weeks minimum - prior to performing a peel.
    *You will also want to do this after your peel has rinsed to help with pigmentation.
    Do not apply these acids on, or near mucus producing areas.
    Watch the video for step by step instructions. Never worry, when you purchase your peel our Peel Manual has full instructions as well.

    I tried the 30% TCA on some recent scars on my feet (from shoes) and legs. After the first week I saw no difference. After the second I was surprised when my skin started peeling! Even up to the third week I was still peeling! I did not expect such a good peel. I saw such a big difference in my scars. I highly recommend

      I mentioned this in another comment to you - but I don't know where you purchased your peel - but I am going to assume that if it was that painful - the percentage you THINK you purchased - and what you really received - are two different things. If you are purchasing off ebay or amazon - those are NOT safe. Purchase from someone like Platinum Skin Care or another reputable company that will give you a professional, certified product.

This was more to be a tutorial to help show people how to apply a body peel. I have done the 30% TCA on my lower legs two weeks ago and they just started peeling. Knowing then what I do now, there is no way I would’ve done a body peel in the summer as your skin looks like hell for weeks plus it’s more of a challenge to keep it covered and protected. I think doing them as often as possible during the cooler months make more sense, that way you can get ready to unveil your younger looking self in the spring!
    Edited to add: You should be prepared that during the peeling process, you’ll be shedding slabs of skin everywhere, your sheets, furniture, floors, the inside of your pants, so you definitely are better off doing these in the cooler months when those flakes stay inside your clothes. It’s pretty gross.

    For what I learned about doing tca peel on my body is the reaction is totally different from the face it takes longer for the skin to peel the full process is about a month, I may think 30 % could be too strong better to start with lower % for the first time around 15/18 % one layer to see how the skin react to. But definitely tca on the body is very good, to be honest I just did it yesterday on me.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +5

      alan wisdom 30% is quite mild on the body. We do recommend only a 20% if you have more melanin rich skin though. And always pretreat if you do with a melanin inhibitor such as our Fade Bright to help reduce the likeliness of PIH.

    • @alanwisdom7777
      @alanwisdom7777 5 років тому +2

      @@PlatinumSkinCare frankly with 30 % I don't had good results on the body my skin reacted very strangely, this even left me spots on one arm, which I could make disappear with other peel, I have a very good results with 15/20 % on the body, on the face I can handle 40 % tca with no problems with flawless results. This is why I recommend to start with low percentage to see how the skin react to avoid problems.

      It definitely sounds like you need more exfoliation *as well as possibly a melanin inhibitor and some SPF every day. I recommend Triple Treat 25% Body Lotion every day and a monthly body peel. The TCA 20% is good for ethnic skin types and darker skin, and the TCA 30% is good for very light skin. Expect it to take a couple of weeks to start seeing real improvements with just daily treatments. The peels will speed it up.

    Such an amazing and educating video!
    I have a question if that's okay. I have a lot of brown spots/areas on my legs and arms from PIH (I have type IV skin) and they've been there for a few years but it is something that I really want to treat and am currently starting a Hydroquinone triple cream + SPF. I would like to try a chemical peel on the PIH but am deathly afraid of making the PIH worse but also want an effective peel to speed up the process! These spots are larger and quite a bit darker as they've been in the sun over the years. Is there something you would recommend? Thank you so much!!

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      Hello. Jessners is an excellent acid choice when targeting pigmentation specifically. I would start with about 3 layers the first time to see how that goes. Next month you can add on more layers. 4-5 and work up from there each month as you move forward. TCA is another great option... and Jessner and TCA can also be used together with Jessners going on first and then the TCA. I would suggest only a couple of layers of Jessners and then a couple of the TCA 20 when you have worked up to that. ***Be sure to try each individually prior before combining them to check for any reactions.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      Hello. You will always be prepping for another peel. Use the Triple Treat body lotion or Body wash to get extra exfoliation into your daily regimen. The skin takes much much longer to flake than a face peel. It could be 10-14 days before you see any dryness or flakes. 30 days to 35 days and your skin should be back to normal again. Don't do another peel until that is complete 100%.

      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +10

      Thank you SO much! That is the goal here with our videos. Bras and clothing will not cause any issues at all. The back will barely register any irritation. I have had jessners + TCA in at least 4 layers on my back and felt NOTHING at all. ... NOW, after a week or so you will be VERY itchy! As the skin is drying and getting ready to flake off you will feel intense dryness and itching. I used my back brush GENTLY in the shower to get a bit of a scratch and had to apply lots of emu oil to help calm the itchiness.
      Deodorant is fine - even if you did your underarms. I would try one that isn't liquid though so it doesn't burn in any way. A nice natural one would be a good choice.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      WaterspoutsOfTheDeep hypOpigmentation will just have to balance out naturally. It is a complete loss of melanin. Most of the time damages like that are from the sun.
      No peel can make your skin start to generate melanin again. We generally recommend Copper Serums to those with issues like this due to the fact that they help to regenerate skin tissues. I can’t guarantee that it will work though. If you are interested in that, see this product here: www.platinumskincare.com/copper-super-cp-serum/

Use all the same products on them. ...If you are NOT getting acne on your face though - and this is just body related - the DuDu Osun Black soap is the BEST for controlling acne on the body and back as well. I purchased your 13% tca along with the luminosity and did my first facial peel a couple weeks ago. Everything went really well and I got a great peel doing two layers. I decided to try and get rid of the sun damage on my chest so I purchased the 20% tca, luminosity and fade bright. I am somewhat fair but have sun damage on my chest. I am planning on using my 10% glycolic wash and the fade bright for two weeks before I try the peel. • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +5

      Pat Gheen I suggest that you begin with one layer of the 20% on your chest. The skin on the neck and chest is thicker than the face - but not nearly as thick as the rest of the body.
      See what you get with one layer, and next time add another if you feel it is necessary.
      *With the face, remember you will go up to 5 layers before moving to the 20%.

      After a chemical peel we do not want to apply any irritating acids to the skin. Tretinoin / Retin A is the acid form of vitamin A, so it is not a good choice to apply after any peel. Please wait until your skin has completed the shedding process to go back to your normal regimen. Platinum Skin Care's Luminosity is formulated to be used post peel, as it is milder on the skin, but very effective.

      Hello. Generally speaking this is a process that will take 30 days to complete on the body. So, 10-14 days before you start to see any dryness. If it has only been a few days - that is normal for the body. Please see the entirely of the video to hear about peeling times. :)

      You can definitely use any salicylic or Jessners as a prep for TCA. Wtih hydroxy acids, you can use a salicylic prep for a minute or so then rinse. Dry and now apply your hydroxy acid (glycolic, mandelic, lactic) to get a deeper peel.

    Would the TCA 30 work for elbows and feet ? I have hyperpigmentation problems in those areas due to scaring

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  3 роки тому

      It will. ... Caution though depending on your skin's coloring. Ethnic tones would need to pretreat and use a lower percentage to help prevent PIH. I suggest 20 in that case.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      Did you pretreat with Fade Bright for 2 weeks prior? We always recommend turning down the melanin when doing TCA on medium or darker skin tones. It greatly reduces the risk of PIH. However, It is common for the skin to turn a darker color prior to the skin peeling. How many days has it been since you applied your peel?

      You can do one or both. I feel that a good layer all over + 1 or 2 extra spot treatments works best.

    Which peel would u suggest for lightening dark elbows ?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  2 роки тому

      I recommend using Fade Bright daily and also our Triple Treat Body Lotion 1 x per day. As for a peel. Lactic 50 is great and can be applied 1 x per week. If you want something stronger that you only have to apply 1 x per month. TCA 20 is recommended for the body for darker skin types or for pigmentation. Be sure to use the Fade Bright for 2 weeks prior to using the TCA Peel.

    For darkner hands back n feet what should i use? Tca or glycolic? How many time?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  2 роки тому

      I suggest starting with our Fade Bright and our Triple Treat Body Lotion daily. You can also try the Lactic 50 Peel one time per week on the dark areas. Many clients have received good results with these 3 products when working on pigmented feet and elbows etc. If you opt for a stronger peel TCA..... You will need to pretreat with Fade Bright for 2-3 weeks prior to using TCA. I recommend TCA 20 for your particular skib.

      Destiny Atkinson many people like to use Tca to Fade tattoos. We suggest either the 20% or 30% Tca on the body.

    I want to do my hands and eventually my face, and chest and neck, so do I buy the 20% TCA for ?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  2 роки тому +1

      Our TCA 30 can be diluted to lesser strengths with purified water. 1 part TCA 30 to 1 part water will achieve a TCA 15 for the face, neck and chest. Dilution instructions will be included in your Peel Manual as well. For the body, we recommend TCA 30. However, if you have a medium (olive) skin tone or darker, we recommend TCA 20. Also, be sure to pretreat for 2 weeks with Fade Bright if you have that medium to dark complexion.

    Thank you for this video. I applied Glycolic Acid 30% on my face but it's not doing what I want. Can I apply TCA 15% and how long do I have to wait to apply the TCA. Wouldn't want to apply too early after the Glycolic just in case it's not safe. Thank you

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  4 роки тому +1

      You sure can. Simply wait 1 week after your Glycolic Peel to apply a TCA. However, after a TCA peel, you will need to wait 3-4 weeks for any type of chemical peel.

    Does it get rid of the darkness in the knuckles?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  4 роки тому +1

      You can absolutely use this to remove dead buildup on the knuckles. I also suggest the FAde Bright at least 2x per day there as well. Then TCA 20% *if you have ethnic skin or TCA 30% if you have whiter skin.

    For your body, more specifically your legs is it best to move up incrementally or can I use the full 30% TCA?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  Рік тому +1

      HI there. This really depends on your skin coloring and heritage. If you have very light skin (Fitzpatrick 1, 2, 3) then you are generally safe to do the TCA 30 full strength. If you are Olive or prone to PIH, heritage tends to hyperpigment... then it is best that you use a milder % such as the 13 or 20 and you must pretreat with a melanin inhibitor for 3-4 weeks prior to a peel. The darker the skin the lower the % and the longer the pretret. See this video: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peels-on-dark-skin/

    a very good video. just wanted to ask, how many mls of tca for one time peel on both legs?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  8 місяців тому +1

      That is a very big ask. LOL. 1. Because we do not have all of these notated/tested. and 2. Because there are many sizes of legs. We want you to do only the Upper OR Lower half on a single day. So let's cut that in 1/2 for the lower. When doing body peels - please get the 2oz. bottle of peel solution. The 1oz. package will not have enough to do your body multiple times. I would "guesstimate" at least 10ml for the lower legs. But... again... I have not tested this and don't recommend it this way. Just be sure to WET your gauze ... then shake to remove any drips. Then apply the solution. You will probably need to REwet that 1-2x more as you apply. Then... if you are using TCA 30 - this is the END. Do not apply more layers. If you are using a milder % for (thin skin/darker skin...) then you can apply a 2nd layer generally. Each month you can add on one more layer (with lower %'s) as you go forward. It will take a full 30 days for the peel to be completed. :)

    Hi, I have Hypergmentation on my chest and would like to use a peel to get rid of it. Which peel would you recommend?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  2 роки тому

      I Really love the jessners peel for hyperpigmentation. The chest can be more sensitive though... so start with 2 layers and go up from there in future peels. Another milder option would be Lactic 50% .. which could be done a couple of times a month. *Keep in mind the chest skin will slough much more slowly than the face. Normal and to be expected.
