    Hi there thank you so much for teaching us !! How do you hide your peel if you have to go to work

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +2

      Most times lots of moisturizer (I like Hyaluronic acid + emu oil + healing oil) and just a light amount of makeup (thinking eyes and maybe some blush) works well. *If I have done a multi layer TCA, and its REALLY dry, I will add on a layer of Aquaphor on top of all my oils too.
      If you are darker, and have done a multi layer peel, and are dealing with the dark dead skin.... I am afraid there isn't really anything we can do about that. ... If you can't have that at work, then a milder peel is the best option for you. I would suggest the Mandelic 40 or a Glycolic 30 or 50 as an alternative.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому

      Christine Williams 13% around Eyes is fine - just very lightly though and only a single layer until you see how your skin will react. Some can turn dark and that may not work with your schedule.
      Remember too, with Tca you are going to add on more layers to strengthen the peel before moving up a percentage. You can apply 5 layers of each before moving to next one.

    I noticed that your TCA peels do not go over 30% in strength. Well I bought 70% from this another company along time ago and was going to use it for ice pick scaring. But now I won’t because of your warning. The kind I bought looks exactly like the bottle that was shown in the video. Thank you for the warning.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +3

      Yes, TCA comes up to 100% strength. Most doctors don't even use this for CROSS method. They may use a 70 or 80% - and that is dangerous. At home - the 30% is strong enough for sure! Glad you didn't attempt to use that 70%.

      Maya Carmel keep the area protected. Use Fade Bright or another melanin inhibitor daily to avoid PIH. Aquaphor is a good one to use. Make sure you aren’t peeling too much. Some people are more sensitive and need more weeks in between peels. Follow the recommendations in the manual.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  3 роки тому

      We don't generally recommend treating keloid scars with acne ... because they could make it worse. You already have a tendency to scar when inflammation is present. Instead I suggest Serum 30 to be applied and Super Cop 2x on the scars themselves. Yes, the silicone sheeting (or easier gel) can be applied to help flatten a raised scar.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому

      I highly suggest the TCA CROSS method here ua-cam.com/video/-4Nrf9i6ROs/v-deo.html
      If you have darker skin - then you definitely want to pretreat the area with Fade Bright or a hydroquinine for at least 2 weeks prior to doing the peel. We suggest the 30% - but make sure to keep it INSIDE the scar itself. And be aware that it can cause a redness in the skin (marks) for several weeks after the treatment. If you can't deal with that, then the 20% would be a better option for you.

      You want to start off by using a melanin inhibitor like our Fade Bright 2x per day every day. www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ Also, use SPF of at least 40 or 50 before going out - no matter what the weather is that day.
      Retinol .20% in the evenings will help your skin to turn over more quickly. www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/
      Then, the best peel would be TCA at 13%. Prep your skin with (retinol + Fade Bright) for 2 weeks minimum, then you can do 1-2 layers of peel for your first application. Watch this video to learn how to do a peel: ua-cam.com/video/vLalzHKpnAI/v-deo.html

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      That really depends on your skin. Your age. Are you dealing with thinner, crepey skin? ... Or, thicker, sturdy, young skin? They have different requirements. Go gentler with more fragile, thinner, older skin. Think TCA 13 at 2-3 layers. If your skin is thicker .. TCA 20 or 30 is usually fine. 30 at ONE layer only. With 20 you can work up. Start with no more than 2. Next month add on one more and continue that way. ***Body takes WEEKS to peel. So do not fret when you don't SEE anything for 10+ days.

      Hello. I do not know. Have you done a TCA 15 peel before? Is that how it felt? We are all different .. and some are less bothered by strong acids. Generally though ... if you applied 3 layers you WOULD feel this.
      Did you Wait 5 minutes in between layers?
      Were the layers Wet enough? Not dripping ... but, leaving a wet sheen on the skin?
      Did you wash and Strip the skin prior to applying the peel?
      Are you sure this IS a 15% TCA peel?

    Ok, serious question: if i do tca peel (high percentage) once a month and I look like crap for the half of the month (because I did it), what's the point of the peel if we are trying to look good but half of the time we actually look horrible? I mean, I don't mind looking like a crap for a certain amount of time if I'm going to look good for a long period of time. Or I'm missing something here?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  4 роки тому

      Ha ha ha. Right? What we generally recommend is that you do a series to get your skin where you want it. Then, keep that looking great by using products such as Retinol or an acid serum every day. Then... just do a peel periodically to keep it great. It is quite common to only do a deeper peel maybe 4x per year. Then, in the off-time do milder ones that have very little downtime or none at all. No matter what.. just make this work into YOUR life. You don't have to follow any rules.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому

      Hello. Firstly it depends on your skin coloration. If you are light - medium, you can use the TCA 30% generally. If your skin is medium - darker then we suggest the 20% TCA *plus for you to pretreat your skin for at least 2 weeks with a melanin inhibitor such as our Fade Bright or a hydroquinone product. This will help to avoid PIH after a strong peel.
      So Fade Bright + the acid itself based on your skin coloring. Many people like to pretreat the skin with an acid to help remove some of the dead skin buildup before they apply a peel. We recommend either the Triple Treat 25% Body Lotion here: www.platinumskincare.com/triple-treat-body-lotion/ or the Serum 30 here: www.platinumskincare.com/serum-15-serum-30-glycolic-mandelic-phytic-c/
      For healing you can use anything super hydrating. We generally recommend the pure Emu oil or a shea butter. **Remember it will take up to 4 weeks for the skin to flake away entirely - so don't think it didn't work because of this fact.

      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому

      @@mariabatumbakal2112 Fade Bright is a melanin inhibitor. It is mandatory with darker skinned people who are prone to getting discoloration after strong chemical peels - that's why I mentioned it. It would be very helpful for the dark spots on your legs. This is a serum that you can apply 2x per day to help fade spotting.
      Then, you could use either the 20% or 30% TCA. If this is your very first peel ever - I would suggest starting off with the 20%. Apply it 1x ... then wait 5 minutes and then apply a 2nd layer then stop. See how much flaking you get from that. ... In 30 days you can do another peel and apply more layers if you wish. *You can go up to 5 layers.
      You can prep your skin with our 25% acid Triple Treat Lotion if you wish to get a deeper peel. *If you use this for a couple of weeks prior to a peel, your acid will penetrate deeper because the lotion will help to remove some of the layers of skin. You don't "have" to do this.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      Peels will definitely help to keep the stratum corneum down. That is about 20 layers of dead skin tissues that can cause dull, lackluster skin. Peels, retinoids and leave on acids all share the same feature of helping to keep that to a minimum - WHILE stimulating the deeper layers to regenerate. That is more collagen and healthier skin.
