I don't brush style because my hair is very coarse (and I am extremely kak-handed 🙈) but I found your video very interesting and informative. To be honest, I'm envious of your levels of patience and dexterity - when I try sectioning and brush styling, I end up breaking off or losing excess hair in the brush and the sectioning clips. When I wash my hair, I roll the pile of loose hair into a tight ball so that I can compare the volume/size and it lets me know if I'm being too rough during washing or if I'm detangling without enough slip or tugging on my hair too much. I will say that, because my hair is coarse, my shed-hair amount looks very scary and substantial, and when I started wavy-curly styling it was quite the shock. So, I decided to count the hairs every so often and I felt less worried when the amount of hair was within the 50-100 that seems to be the normal amount for daily shedding. I think the results of the bounce curl brush look really great - you achieved lots of definition, clumping and body.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments, i feel kak handed when im sectioning but i do find this brush so easy to use.
I’m not sure i would brush style if it felt like I was losing a lot of hair due to it but also its all relative to the person and as long as I don’t suddenly see a large increase in hair loss I don’t worry to much.

I Tried brush styling but I feel like hand raking is best for my short bob hair. Maybe try it again when my hair is long.

I think trying out different methods is absolutely the best way to work out what suits you and your hair best! 🙌

hi Tori thank you for the video presentation both results look awesome on you🙏 l don’t section because l haven’t learned how to ☺️ l have the feeling l will never 😊 is there a way to brush style without sectioning? and, what would there be a need to scrunch out the crunch if you didn’t use any products? do you still use oil to scrunch out the crunch?

Hi Rony, great questions 🙌 I find if I want to brush style I have to section or I get in quite the pickle - end up brushing bits I've already done or leaving out pieces of hair. I'm sure it's possible, it's just not something I find very easy to do. There is absolutely no need to use an oil at the end, even to scrunch out the crunch (if you have any, as in if you've used mousse/foam/gel or any hold products that have indeed created a scrunch). You can SOTC with just hands by scrunching or clapping, you can use a satin scarf or even microfibre towel or soft t shirt. If you don't have a cast there is no need to SOTC.
I always use an oil at the end of any routine because I have fine, frizz prone, colour treated hair. This means it's on the drier side and really benefits from locking moisture by using an oil. This way I get less tangles, a bit more shine and a lot less frizz 😊 Hope that helps.

@@Tori_Hunter thank you again, Tori… l will do my best to learn to section my hair to brush style 😊 as it is right now l just brush it , but l feel l don’t get good results that way! l don’t use oil often because l don’t want to clarify my hair often either, l do have to wash my hair daily that is why l try to to use products at all… but by mid day my hair it’s a dry rat’s nest 😊 hope you have a great week ahead. always looking forward to your video tutorials! thanks for sharing!

Did you use the defining brush on one side and the volume brush on the other? It looks like you used the defining one (wider teeth) on both sides, or am I just confused? Thank you.

You don’t lose much hair at all. I lose 10 times more than that but I have 10 times more hair than you do and I wash every two weeks. Not that the timing matters; I lose a bunch of hair whenever I wash.

It’s all relative isn’t it - like you say if you have twice as much hair then you’re going to notice more coming out. I think it’s just important to know what’s typical or ‘the norm’ for you and only if you see big changes should you look into it 😊 thanks for watching x
