Do you see much difference between the two sets of results? After watching the video back i definitely see a difference and the volume brush does make more volume but I personally prefer the extra definition of the Original Define brush. Do you agree?
I see a definite difference. I like the results with the new brush better. Just received mine but haven't had a wash day to try it out. Looking forward to it.
I agree that there seems to be a difference, but that it’s not a huge difference. Thanks so much for the video! I have the original brush so I can see where there isn’t much of a reason for me to get the new one right away. Maybe later if I want a different look. Thanks again for the great video!
I want to Thank You a Million times👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for doing this video because not many of us can afford the brushes featured in this video and feel lost not knowing which one to buy if we could. I personally feel like you have more shrinkage + volume with the New brush Vs. the Original brush where your curls look defined, but loose and more elongated as well.😊
Your hair looks great! 😍 I see with the new bounce curl volume brush that you have more volume. I have the defining brush, i just ordered the volume brush and can't wait to see my results. Bounce curl really nailed it with these brushes. However, I wish they come out with a hard hold gel.😊
I knew they would come out with other variations of the brush after they first launched their brush and it's exciting to see what else they have in store! The results from the original do like you have slightly bigger curl clumps and you have more volume with the new side
After a long internal debate (brush + shipping costs), I got the original a couple of months back. No regrets! For volume and definition, I love pairing the Define brush with Curlsmith's Volume Recipe stylers (and my beloved Miracle Shield). For extra hold, I'll top it off with the Bounce Curl Hairspray.
I love your hair with both. Both do look very similar. I have both and recently had shorter layers cut in as opposed to only 2-3 layers from chin down. With the longer layers I preferred the original edge defining brush for nice thicker clump formation because the volume define brush seemed to initially make clumps small and less defined but slightly frizzy. Since layering my medium density hair has of course “lost density” and the original brush keeps larger clumps but you can see the lack of density more. The volume brush keeps my density more intact and as always by day 2-3 those curl families find their clumps and increase but my hair doesn’t look as sparse as with original brush. Hope all of that makes sense! Both are the best brushes yet for styling and tamping frizz.❤
@@MarisasCurls Trying to get used to them 🤣 I’ve used each one once so far. I actually have the same problem with the wonky straight pieces on the sides! But it really helps with my bangs to get them bouncy and out of eyes ❤️ Need to play more but I think I like the results from the volume brush better since I’m low density.
I just purchased this brush and chose the original one. After looking at your side by side I think I made the right choice for my preference. Now I just have to figure out how to brush style!! 😅Your hair is always beautiful, thanks for the video!
I have the original brush. Still getting used to it. Your tip of twisting sections just before you brush curl them will help. I haven't done that before. My hair is a combination of curly and wavy. It does look better when I get a good trim regularly. My hair grows so fast that I have to get 1" trims. But, I do use different stying products than you do. I've been trying different ones and finally discovered an amazing set for my hair.
Hi, i just want to say that I do think the curls are significantly different. I think the volume curl brush curls look a lot better than the photo you said was from a year ago. iI like your curls with the volume brush better. Thanks for the great video :)
My volume brush just arrived in the mail yesterday, but I haven’t tried it yet. Your hair looks amazing. I do think your hair looks a bit bigger with today’s brush than the original.
I've not been able to get my hands on the original brush yet, so this is a great video to show the differences and which one is better for me! thanks 👍 ❤
I feel like the original may be better on looser curl patterns as the volume brush could have the potential to make the wavy hair a bit stringy. But as with everything, it’s probably different from person to person 😃
I was gifted the definition one and wow it made my curls amazing and made my hair feel softer which I wasn't expecting. I haven't tried the volume one I don't know if that would make my curls stringy
Hi Marisa. Stunning curls as usual! For root volume have you heard of the Abonacci Styler for curly hair? You can use it with your diffuser/hair dryer to really give you some root lift. I’ve used the styler and the brush together with some great results. Thanks again for all your information and videos.
Mine should be here soon! I have the original and it’s so loved it’s already missing some bristles 😮. I do see more volume. This is exciting b/c lord knows I need the volume but also love the definition… 😂😂😂
As compared to your results with the original, I think this time your clumps are a bit smaller and you have a bit more volume, but to your point, it's not dramatic. Regardless of your approaches, your hair always looks lovely.
Great vid & tips, thx for sharing! & wow you’re brave with the large amount of Bounce product that you apply. I find all their prods too heavy. My fine curls would be weighed down for a year if I used that much! 😅
@@MarisasCurls yeah that’s a mystery for sure! My hair went running for the clarifying shampoo just watching you apply all that Bounce product. 😆 Even a pea size amount of their leave-in destroys any chance of volume & makes my hair a greasy flat mess. I was gonna toss it, but use it as a pre-poo detangling treatment instead.
Your hair looks amazing love the curls and looks so healthy and full. I do have the 1st brush but I don't get no curls like you do.Do you think the bounce curl leave in and gel gave you those nice curls? I have never used bounce curls leave in or gel but I have been wanting to.I will put them on my wishlist they are pretty pricy not in my buget.Do you have your hair cut in layers? So pretty and I am in need of a trim.Thank you for this video.Oh one more question if you had to choose which do u like better bounce curl leave in and gel or curl smith leave in and gel?
Hi. The products are really good but I get similar results with quite a number of products. My hair has layers yes 😃 my current absolute favourite routine is Curlkeeper Original and Curlsmith invincible volume mousse and I did a video showing how I use them recently 😃
You also have a side part with more hair on the fluffier side. Could that be part of it? I have the original and do like it but don’t feel the need for the new one.
I’m afraid to add gel after I used the brush. I’m just wavy underneath is somewhat curly. I just know if I raked through the gel all my brush style would be messed up.
Oh definitely don’t take gel through after using the brush. Just smooth it over and scrunch which is what I did in the video. Alternatively you can rake it through your soaking wet hair before doing the brush styling. But if I was going to do that I would make sure to keep my hair extremely wet and use a gel with more slip than this Bouncecurl one
curious...You mentioned that the top of your hair reacts different to the brush than the rest of your hair. Is the top of your hair finer than the rest? Mine is and I don't like the brush for the finer part of my hair
Got so excited about these projects but when I go on the link for discount , it's £18 for delivery to the Uk . Not happy . Not worth the discount if that is the delivery charge
No but I did link the U.K. stockists in the description 😃 unfortunately I don’t have a discount code for them but it will work out cheaper than ordering from the USA
@AK49D well if your hair before was very damaged then shaving that off gives you a clean slate so your new hair should be really healthy if you look after it
Your hair is fuller/curlier with the 2nd/newer brush. My hair type, texture & length is different from yours so I am not sure of what my results would be...
I think you have really beautiful hair, but with all the product you use to style it, I don't know if the brush really has any effect on your curls. Plus you squeeze it so many times after you've brushed it. I'd like to know what happens if you wash it, use conditioner, rinse it, towel dry it, brush it with this brush and leave it. No creams, no squeezing your hair, just brush it and let's see the result.
If I don’t use any products then my curls don’t last at all. And my hair also responds very well to scrunching. If I didn’t use products and I didn’t scrunch it I imagine it would be flat and fluffy 😃 but it’s an interesting idea for an experiment video 🤔
Also, towel drying your hair is not good for it at all, nor is brushing it when it's wet/damp without at least leave-in conditioner in it. The (oddly specific) routine which you described is a bad idea.
Do you see much difference between the two sets of results? After watching the video back i definitely see a difference and the volume brush does make more volume but I personally prefer the extra definition of the Original Define brush. Do you agree?

Yes! Definitely a difference but for my hair at least, not enough of a difference to get both 😃
Your hair is definitely fuller with the new brush. Love it.
I prefer the volume because I have low density and the edge lift one clumps them so much. They both work amazingly though. ❤❤
Do you have both? Yes I can totally see how the volume one would be good for low density hair 😃
@@MarisasCurls yes. I had purchased the edge lift when it first launched. I just received about a week ago the volume and I love it more.

Does order matter if using the bounce brush, clump& define cream, and light hold creme gel?
