I wasn't sure but thought one of the solvents might just lift it straight off. I was thinking wax remover, acetone, possibly petrol or methylated spirits but, if you've had experience and degreaser does it, great, that's nice and simple.
Paint: Just use warm water and the gentle use of your buffer to remove those streaks on the paint. Those Subarus do have a clear coat that does eventually fade or flake if you leave the car in the sun.
As you've found out, ceramic coatings are sensitive, so now is the opportunity to hit the surfaces with a premium cleaner/wax, such as McGuire's and make a nice protective wax coating. Do that every 6 months and you'll have a smart-looking car. Now, as for performance, I'd be mindful the autogearbox cannot take huge torque, so be sensible with the tune.
Use the same foam product to loosen it so it can be washed with some help from a cleaning cloth or pad. Whatever the coating product was composed of will act as a solvent for itself in most cases...
Induction: You can change to a high quality air filter, such as the original STI one, or a K&N Aftermarket. You don't need a blow off valve, unless you wish to annoy your neighbours! Wheels: Reco one wheel first, to see how it looks. Then if you are happy with the color, go ahead and reco the other wheels. Keeping the car as close as possible to the B Spec will help to maintain it's value. Suspension: The original Bilstein suspension is perfect for everyday use.
Pink springs on the original billies (though replacement struts are worth it ) is normally seen as an "acceptable" mod, I don't think it improves handling (possibly makes it worse) but the slight lowering does look good.
I don't know what tyres you are running Isaac, But a decent set of tyres can make a huge difference to the handling, as can getting a good geometry set up. A set of Toyo TR1's and a geometry setup by Drift Performance transformed my MR2. (Even if it is called a hairdressers car)!
Theres an IMO car wash at Tesco's in Edinburgh. You can sit just outside the wash exit and when somebody you want to wind up is just about to exit it sound your horn sharply , it disturbs the pidgeons in the rafters , they poop on the victims car windscreen area. Watch the hilarious sight of Ryland lookalike characters trying to get a free rewash or even better wiping up poopoo with little tissue 😂😂😂😂

Our crew chief does not recommend wheel spacers as they put excess strain on the bearing, affect the handling and could reduce your turning circle. To maintain the resale value, don't add any wraps over the paint work.

The joy of a pounding powered sub is essential to announce yourself in traffic, and when leaving or arriving home. Also no one will take you seriously without spacers, a few carbo wraps and a big blow valve! Thinking it through further, lowering springs and shocks for aggressive camber angles would finish it off nicely. The delightful opportunity to hold up traffic when slowly negotiating speed bumps is simply “sport”. ;) P. 🇳🇿

Worth trying some clay as well, will be more gentle on the clear coat and might help get that layer off.
If you are going to recon the wheels I would like to see the process from start to finish as I am considering doing the same to my Freelander wheels.

Fix your exhaust and do your induction upgrade before you map it.

I've used WD40 with a buffer to remove tree sap off my car, it might help you! Try a small area to see.
You could try a K&N Cotton air filter to replace the stock Paper air filter. It will pass 50% more air than stock and lasts the life of the car.

Williams PH Neutral shampoo and a soft sponge and some elbow grease.
Try using panel wipe degreaser probably have to machine polish it and re coat it 😢¹

A 6 cyl shortens the life of the CVT vs the 4 cyl. The added HP and torque is the culprit. Tuning to 300 HP will toast that CVT. Convert to 6 spd!
Luckily, this isn’t the CVT, it’s got the 5EAT! Plus, as it’s a JDM car it’s got 2.0 EJ20X rather than the 6 cyl 👌🏼👌🏼
