Looks great Isaac, well worth taking it to a show. People realise it’s not a garage queen but a very interesting car. Also going to shows puts you in contact with people who can suggest remedies for the small issues you have and it gets you known in certain circles. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Bob M. Or someone sat on it with something in their pocket, looks good for its age, all drive shafts that go into Or through oil have seals, things like CV , drive shaft, pay to repair/replace them, thanks for sharing, all the best
hmm, i'd ignore little dings and cosmetics for now. Get the wheels off and get them on the correct studs. While they off measure the discs are in spec, replace if needed along with pads (front first if you can't do it in one go.. Make sure the caliper slides are corrosion free, lubed and clips/rattle herdware renewed. deal with oil leak, dead boring stuff. But pretty cars don't look good buried in a hedge because you ignored basics like wheels and brakes. Bit at a time, prioritise. Kindest
Window- overload on motor. Try silicone spray on rubbers and felts that touch glass around the window ( could be ceramic residues getting places ) Or take winder mechanism out and re-grease it. That plastic tab on the bumper is old car trouble - the tab pinged off on bumping something.. my 51reg Peugeot 307 is identical..it was reversed over a post in a carpark about 15 years ago. and now has a lot of cable ties hiding in there.
“Borrow” one of the couplers from whoever is doing the roofing on the unit. If everything lines up, make them pay to put it right. If they did it and didn’t own up they deserve to pay up for their dishonesty. However it happened, whoever did it knows they did it and kept quiet about it. 👌🏻
Those wheel nuts are for standard Subaru wheels bud, not suitable for aftermarket wheels, id get them changed to properly tapered ones asap as they dont seat properly....
Try changing the window rubbers. They harden after years of summer sun. Then it puts pressure on the glass when it is closes. Good luck. You will get there.
You'll gain wonderful results with a good quality cleaner/wax, not just water. Make a "to-do" list with bite-sized tasks, so you won't feel overwhelmed over all that needs doing. Cheers!
Bumper clip is a pain, you can see where the plastic bumper bit that inserts into the clip is no longer flat, once its bent down it pops out of the clip too easily. The clip itself can be removed easily (1 screw from engine bay side) I've not come up with a good solution to mine yet - I push it in with my knee whenever it pops out :D Dashboard - people have replaced the full dashboard for an uncracked one - but its a massive job and hassle, only for it to crack again. Some people have flocked them (messy job too) Seen a couple of people with fitted dashboard covers that look snazzy Window motor isn't to hard but its fiddily, I got a working one from a breaker for like £20, But first I'd try get the door card off, and the outside trim, spray some silicone grease on the joints, clean up the sliders as well so it can all move freely - if that doesn't work get a replacement motor - just don't cut your fingers off when trying to get it in place XD
THOSE WHEEL NUTS ARE VERY LIKELY DANGEROUS!!! They don’t look like they’re seated properly at all. They’re probably the wrong taper angle or worse, a flat face against a curved face.Seen it plenty of times with aftermarket wheels. As for the headlights.. have you put uv protection on them after polishing? Do that and they’ll last a few years before needing re polishing. Regularly apply uv protection, levery month or so should keep them looking good, clear and not yellowed. Again, be careful with those wheel nuts. If they don’t trash a wheel first, you might lose one whilst on the move. They look like they’re damaging the wheels already anyway. 👌🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Car looks fantastic for an 03 lovely colour too. Understand you want it showroom, fix front bumper by removal, check correct are nuts and its good. Something clearly dropped on the bonnet. You know where its been and you would spot it quickly you have a keen eye
Those are definitely the wrong wheel nuts, as the taper must always overlap the cone to hold the wheel securely. A competent wheel fitter will have the correct nuts on hand.
My 2004 Outback - brought new - with 200,000 miles has a flawless dashboard, fitting a 25,000 mile JDM engine this week, another 200k miles hopefully, these cars were built well.
The window just needs to be reset. Press and hold the button down when the window is fully down and wait ten seconds then press and hold the button up when the window is fully up hold and wait ten seconds. hope this helps 👍
You need to reset the pinch sensor on the window. Had to do that on my car. Should be an easy fix that you can do. Pretty much. Turn ignition on. Close window. Open window. Turn the ignition off then on. Close window, .... That was for my audi.
Has the window thing just appeared m8, was wondering if its like the Mercs that drop the window down to release the vacuum in the vehicle so you dont have to slam the door shut, just a thought. The windscreen chip doesn't look like anything Autoglass cant sort out and its nowhere near 40mm in length so wont effect an MOT. Shame your finding so much wrong with it but if anyone can sort it you can
"was wondering if its like the Mercs that drop the window down to release the vacuum in the vehicle so you don't have to slam the door shut," Subarus do not have that feature. Faulty drivers side window switches are common on that model of Subaru.

The dent looks like a scaffolding coupler has maybe taken a tumble??
Potentially… I was fuming when I first noticed it!!

Them wheels are awful and way overdue refinishing, but I'm sure you know that.
Yes 😭😂 not a cheap job tho!!!
If youve left it there before i wonder if the landlords scaffolders dropped something on the car....any cctv?
Those wheel nuts are for standard Subaru wheels bud, not suitable for aftermarket wheels, id get them changed to properly tapered ones asap as they dont seat properly....
I was going to say, those nuts are the wrong type for that wheel.

Bonnet is pawprint of the Beast of Bodmin!
Careful out there 😊
Don't forget the air bag in that dash on the passenger side, you musn't stick anything over that.

Good paintless dent removal man will sort that try Dent devils if they got a man in your area used them myself and i wotk in a bodyshop
Spray some silicon in your window channel try that👍
Isaac, once a week will be with much better content❤
Quality, not quantity
Windows sometimes require reprogramming especially if the battery has ever been on low voltage. Simple job if you know the sequence.

Try silicone spray for the windows had similar thing on my l200 and it worked a treat

My guess would be a shopping trolley in a supermarket car park for the bonnet damage.
Looks like you have mis-matched rear indicator lights as well?!?
Your to camera presentation is getting better and better one bit of constructive advice, try to stand still whilst talking. 👍
Careless knocks are a damn nuisance, people don’t appreciate those car park door knocks can cost £500 to repair and spray.

Scoobies should come with a free lifetime prescription of Prozac
😂😂😂 would be nice
👍
Your window stripes are dirty try spraying with silicone spray in channels, nine times out of ten will sort your window issues
I you sure a bit of that scaffold has not fallen into your car ? To have 3 / 4 dents like that close togetter looks like one of those connections .

It’s been like it the whole time I’ve had it, and no actually the windows don’t drop down which I was surprised at as they did on my BMW!

ps, don't think i ever used copper grease, anywhere.....
I'll watch later, you're up against Emily Shields this evening
Fair play, Volvo’s aren’t really my thing, but I suppose you could be watching for…. Other reasons😂. Only joking 🧡
