How To Make Interiors in Automation (EASY)
#automotiveflux #automation #beamngdrive
If you're looking for mods I would start here steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2700078224
Holy crap do you not know what translucent means? Slow people like you have started to change the meaning of the word and you need to stop. We don't need to make a new word or start having to say partially transparent when we already have translucent that means that.
I built my entire interior with 3d shapes, I made a fountain soda with a bendy straw even has the red stripe on the straw, I made nos tanks and a fuel cell too
Someone already mentioned the free cam, but if you press F it'll focus the camera on the selected part instead of the car itself. Very useful for those small details inside and out of the car.
If you're on Steam Deck, you can press Y to focus the camera on a specific part too, interesting
THANK YOU! I was so lost on how to move the camera around
I wish we'd get a node-morph system. Where there's a predefined interior with the ability to add and adjust nodes to shape things, and then we could add fixtures on top.
But, I'd even settle for bodies that had blank interiors. Where the floor, pillars, walls etc. were very shallowly filled in as blank. That way we could achieve a hogher quality without spending 80 years moving a scaling bits.
If I'm not mistaken, you can change the position of the firewall and the size of the center tunnel in advanced settings.
Correct
Two words: Free Cam
For me, using the "free cam" mode where your camera angle isn't bound to an anchor point, makes things sooo much easier to get right. Instead of having to change the camera anchor point and dealing with awkward positions. So for interior stuff I'm in free cam mode 90% of the time. Especially when aligning things to be pixel perfect.
I dont know why but it never crossed my mind that you could change the function of a lamp, so now i can use headlights as taillights and it wont dumb in beamng :D
Press Shift+C for the free cam mode. You can really, really get in there and do the nitty gritty details. Love this game and o would've appreciated a video like this when I was starting out. Glad to see you do it!
One more tip is to put a crash dummy mod inside, because... well, I don't think the dummy will be pleased with this legroom lol
so long overdue.
Better late than never, I do intend to make a few more of these
@@automotivefluxthanks so much because i’ve been trying to learn how to for a couple years now and whatever i’ve made has been pretty dismal
@@automotivefluxWhen I export to beam Ng and I try frost person it doesn't go to were my seat is so can u help me fix it
For things like dashboards, seats and other interior components its usually a good idea to try and position them on a car in a way where they are oriented correctly in the 2D mode. With the dashboard that might be stuck on the back of the car.
When the part is placed like that all you need to do after switching to 3D mode is move it, you no longer need to rotate it in all kinds of ways (though you might still want to change the angle a bit later). I at least find that a bit easier than putting the dashboard in backwards and then having to hope mirroring and rotation help out.
kinda helped but not to much. i can be stupid and didint notice but i think you didint say to turn on the movement mode, not the scaling mode for the fixtures to actually get them there
14:45 you can fill the whole fixture via the paintbucket button on the top right from the slots there
Yes I’ve been waiting for this, I never touch the interior
JFC this is still incredibly counter intuitive. Like everything else is easy and pleasant to do but this is straight up throw-computer-out-the-window type stuff. Like moving one image in Microsoft word. Crazy. Hope they finally implement some actual interior editor in the future.
This was great and much needed. May I ask if we could get one of these videos focusing on even more detail like the floor and stuff?
I actually just attempted my first interior last week. Turned out ok, was going for an e39 540i bmw competitor since mine is currently broken and bmw parts are expensive. Definitely need some more practice to get close to this
it exist a Prototype pod mod which is really well made you can move the Pod insid without even activating the 3D fixture mode and you can change the size to match the Chassis
i havelike 200 hours in Automation and im still Learning and with the newest version the Lights are a bit brocken( the Metal fixture from any fixture from the HeadLights, Taillights and indicator section has the Light Effect at standard)
thanks man! you really helped me
i would recroment to make textures yourself in the General Textures tab for example Glass and different Leather textures or a Mesh Texture because the standart ones are looking bad, you can make the Mesh smaller
Bro you don't know how much I needed this. Also how do you make good exteriors, the only good things about my car are the quality spam engine, suspension, brakes and aero
This would be a perfect "make a car game", if the process of interior creation wasnt this kind of bad, its completly useful, and i dont find the words in english to say "NEFASTO" or "Es una mierda"
what does nefasto and es una mierda mean
Disastrous and is shit
Nicely done!
You can also use the parts list panel on the left side of the screen to select specific parts.
And, I tend to leave the snap to angle on and set to 30 degrees so that I can control the initial placement and rotation a bit better. If I need to I then untick the snap to angle for finer movements.
i would Recroment when you make a carbase and then different models you should make the slowest one first (or the car with the least ammount of fixtures) because you can make yous a base and then make upgrades time after time and you can easiliy upgrade the engine or other stuff
Very nice tutorial.
Can anyone teach me how to copy and paste?
flexing the burnout tribute car 10/10
the interior detail is kinda fun do a matt and a cover in door is a pain the ass
true.
could you do a short tuning tutorial next?
I'm not amazing at tuning but I can try
I need to find the mods for all those parts,I only have the basics parts
19:22 this is something I would do😂😂😂😂
picked this up real quick thx so much!!
waiting for the formula drift car build❤❤
When I export my car into Beamng, the steering wheel and shifter don't work (they don't move), why does this happen and how can I change it?
I believe there is special scripting required to make them work, check out fillman86 I believe he's shown how it's done
Good stuff I can see this helping people out.
Does anyone know how to make the steering move in beam ng?
uh
~prop:the fixture number,steering,0,1,0,0,0,0,min rotate (i do -900),max rotate (i do 900),0,multiplier (if you do 1 then it does everything the exact way but if u do 1.5 i think it multiplies so just do 1)~
if you did use my reply to help witht the steering can you at least thank me
@@superlavahair1536 -_-
pretty sure you can hide the chassis
shift-c is free camera
Where do u get mods, I'm new to the game
steam workshop
My 3d things dont want to get to interior
holy yap
I'd love to get more advanced interiors but your discord is super toxic :/
But i have craked automation
You don't really need mods to do it
@@Ivnfoil yea but if you need more customization (ie if you want a specific seat for your car and a infotainment system thingy then you need a mod)
@@superlavahair1536 i found out on how to get a mod
